There are two bridges that carry the A2 across the River Lagan. They are each one way. This is the more southern one and because they drive on this side of the road, this is from Titanic Quarter to the downtown district. The bridge opened to traffic in 1843 and is named after Queen Victoria.
This is simply the most recent bridge on this site - there have been several others that either collapsed or were rebuilt. It is a five-arch stone bridge. There are four lanes and a raised pavement on each side that has a railing between it and the roadway.
