Mahee Castle consists of the remnants of a tower house, built circa 1570, by an English soldier named Captain Thomas Browne. Definitely interesting ruins, but probably not worth making a trip specifically to see as there's not much left. However, if you're in the area or at nearby Nendrum Monastic Site, you really should walk a couple of minutes down the road to visit Mahee Castle.
