Based on the quality of their food alone, I would give, without hesitation, a five-out-of-five for Queen Sushi. Yass! Among the finest presentations of sushi I've been served. My order was extensive and a bit complicated (as usual), yet it was prepared flawlessly. The garnishes on the individual pieces meticulously applied. Fresh and inviting, arrayed with an artistic flair for color and balance. The "Mango Tango" roll, extraordinary. My seaweed salad, everything about it was perfection. The others in my group of four went the Cantonese route, tofu fried rice, a seafood noodle dish, which were judged superior. Throughout the evening, we all agreed it was a fantastic dinner we enjoyed. BYOB and relax. While not over-the-top in its décor, Queen Sushi's dining area is clean and orderly, serene even. Lit by large windows looking out upon the shaded, peaceful streets of Glenside. In fact, we found everything Queen Sushi has to offer so satisfying, it is a shame, really, to enter a complaint, but nonetheless. As I find more and more, no matter how lovely the establishment, the service is often wanting, and this impacted our experience. Had I not mentioned the appetizer I had ordered, it would have been overlooked, I am certain, because another appetizer we ordered was indeed completely forgotten. And I know that sushi preparation is a separate affair from the kitchen, which can lead to food arriving at different intervals - not unusual. But the considerable length of time the rest of my group was made to wait listening to me ooh and aah over my sushi was more than a little awkward. It so happens that I am a slow eater, so even though the hot entrees arrived late, we all finished neck-and-neck, but I should not have been given such a head start. Things happen, I understand. But when they do, it can dim the sheen of what was, without doubt, the best Asian fusion we've had in quite a while. read more

Yesterday was only our second time visiting Queen Chinese and Sushi, and that is not a knock against this Chinese/Japanese fusion restaurant. We often times just opt for take-out Chinese, and we have a great take-out place very close to us. However, Queen is a nice sit-down Chinese restaurant, which are few and far between. We are vegetarian, so we ordered two vegetable dishes to share. The Chinese eggplant was delicious, with the eggplant diced into small pieces mixed with vegetables, and the Szechuan-style tofu was also delicious, filled with lots of big pieces of tofu and many vegetables that were cooked perfectly. The service was fast and efficient, and the prices are on par with other Chinese restaurants in the area. read more

I had a really good experience here, while waiting for a show at the nearby Keswick theatre. The atmosphere was comfortable here as well as relaxed. Nothing fancy, however, but it was clean and inviting. The waiter we had was friendly and attentive without hovering, and our food came out quicker than I expected. The dishes were flavorful, especially the General Tso's & Sesame chicken. Everything tasted better than every day Chinese when hungover, as well, the portions were generous. I will say some items could use just a little more seasoning, but overall it was satisfying and well-prepared. Definitely a solid spot when you're craving Chinese food. I'd happily come back after the next show I attend read more

Pad thai and mei fun , there are no difference from this place I ordered ubereat,, general tso chicken and pad thai Pad thai was supposed to be wider noodle but it was angel hair noodle Tasted nothing like pad thai It is Chinese restaurant i should have been aware what I ordered And general tso was ok but fried rice was blend They sent me wrong size of soda Supposed to be 20 oz with extra but sent me a can which is 12 oz i called them no one word of apology but told me there is nothing they can do so call ubereat Sucha unpleasant experience read more

We have been patrons for many years. We had an unpleasant experience during Covid with their (burned) Peking duck. Which they picked up and never offered an apology or replacement. Gave them another chance and weren't disappointed until this evening. Order for delivery placed with a 30 - 45 minute delivery. Called at 1 hour and the driver was lost. Ultimately told them we'd deny their delivery. Come to find out, our delivery was never posted. Our food is lost in the ether. And we're still hungry. read more

This is the quintessential American Chinese corner joint. Nothing really outstanding or special but enough of the basics that one can be satisfied without having high expectations. Not a destination spot by any means, but for those looking for a convenient and decent spot with generally friendly service, this is that type of place. In an era of far more authentic/specialized Chinese or Asian options this type of restaurant is becoming maybe less popular but is heavy on nostalgia and friendliness. read more

I've been a regular customer of this company because their sushi is really good. I usually order through DoorDash since my food tends to arrive faster that way, and they often have no delivery fees. Every time, I add a note requesting extra crunch on all my sushi rolls and some extra crunch in the bag. In the past, I was never charged for this. However, today I received a call from someone claiming to be the supervisor at Queen Sushi. He asked if I meant extra crunch both on the rolls and in the bag, as I hadn't specified that in the notes. I confirmed, and he said there would be an additional $3 charge. I was immediately upset because I've been a loyal customer, ordering at least once a month, and I've never been charged for the extra crunch before. I told him I didn't mind paying the $3, but I would write a negative review and stop supporting their business. I also mentioned that I know others who order from here and like extra crunch on their sushi, and I'd advise them to stop ordering too. Instead of accommodating me as a loyal customer, he chose to cancel my order. So, if you're planning to request extra crunch on your sushi rolls, be aware that you'll be charged extra, and they won't accommodate you as a valued customer. read more

This is a tough review. We order often from Queen. The food is consistently good for suburban Chinese. This time we ordered through the Yelp app and requested delivery. Delivery is handled by GrubHub. Two hours later, we still hadn't received our order so I checked the app. The app indicated that the food had been delivered 45 minutes earlier. It was sitting on our front steps on a cold night. The delivery person had just dropped It there without knocking. It was cold. I must note, first, that delivery orders placed directly through Queen are always prompt and hot. Secondly, I need to note that GrubHub refunded the total order price. That said, we wanted a prompt, hot meal. Not a free late, cold meal. The moral of the story, for us, is just call Queen and order directly from now on. read more

So I had stopped here before years ago and remembered the Chinese food being really good. So New Year's Day, I fall my usually Chinese spot and they are closed. I have to say I'm pretty picking about Chinese food because lots of places don't put like any peas or carrots in their fried rice and that is essential for me! I picked this spot instead because I knew they do their fried rice the way I like it. The crab rangoons were not shaped the way I was used to but they were large and had lots of filling, actually one of my favorite items I got. The egg rolls were a little small, but a great little appetizer nonetheless. The general tso's chicken could have more broccoli in the order, but was perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The fried rice I obviously enjoyed. Now I took a chance and ordered vegetable Lo mein, which I love but can find it to be hit or miss depending on the restaurant, was so good! It was loaded with broccoli and tasted PERFECT! And the plus side was everything came out to be cheaper than what it would have been if I ordered from my usual spot. Can't beat that! read more

They fell off very badly when I ordered last month I was so disappointed that the lo mein had no taste to it and the shrimp and broccoli was cooked or just was to bland was not impressed At all ... also I order i ice tea and of course they send me a soda really I was pissed wasn't happy and haven't been back since this happen read more

Queen is wildly inconsistent. One order the triple delight will be covered in spicy sauce and the next no sauce and no spice. Sushi is pedestrian at best bordering on supermarket level. They are reopening the dining room so hopefully things will get better. They do make very good dumplings but if you want real Chinese flavors, go somewhere else. read more

I went here on a Friday night because the other place I was going to go told us to wait an hour. We were the only ones there on a Friday night (more did come by in the end). The service was prompt and fast. The server was nice. I ordered shrimp fried rice and all the other people ordered sushi rolls. The food itself was pretty average. Nothing newsworthy, but nevertheless a solid dinner choice with good service. read more

Queen Sushi - Shrimp fried rice - Chinese Near Me - Glenside, Pennsylvania

My boyfriend and I love love love getting sushi and the lunch specials here! There is a huge amount of Chinese and Japanese dishes, sushi and sashimi, and even some Thai food. The sushi has never been anything from fresh and is made right in front of you. The lunch specials include a hearty portion of an entree, your choice of white or fried rice, and either soup or an egg roll. Besides the copious amount of food, it's only $5.50 +tax and runs from 11-3 every day except Sunday. Descent dining area but we usually get takeout, which only takes 15-20 minutes. Online ordering is an option for take out or delivery so it can be paid with a card, and the delivery fees and tip are added directly to the card! read more

Glad to see my go-to childhood Chinese joint is still thriving on Keswick ave. They even had banners up stating they were rated a top 100 Chinese food restaurant in the entire US, not too shabby. Our meal was perfect before hitting the Keswick Theater next door. We started with crispy Chinese pizza and the GINORMOUS fried dumplings. Both just as delicious as I remember, man I miss suburb prices. We then split the garlic chicken which could have used a little more spice but was otherwise perfect. The cashew shrimp also was the perfect blend of veggies and the featured attractions. Along with the entrees we received the fluffy white rice to soak up the various sauces that ensured nothing was left behind. There was no alcoholic drink menu and another table had what looked like a fifth of vodka on their table so this place might be BYOB but don't quote me on that! read more

I highly recommend you guys to go to Queen Sushi their food is delicious, their vegetable Lo mein and pizza rolls are so good, this is my favorite place but I plan on going to Happy Garden. read more

My friends and I were going to the Lauryn Hill concert and wanted to eat before going to the concert. We chose Queen sushi because it is right next to the Keswick Theater and it was real convenient for us. My bff lives close by and suggested it also. She did state it isn't a fancy place, and it is a BYOB but said sushi is decent but not the best. Walking in, it looks like a hole in the wall. When we get to hostess stand she was on the phone and did not acknowledge us...Then a waiter seats us to our booth and we get settled in. Before we order we asked for wine glasses for our wine..when the waiter came back he came with 3 tumblers..yes tumblers for our wine.. It is a BYOB so they should have wine glasses.. When we first sat down they brought out complimentary fried noodles and duck sauce.. Which was nice. Then we ordered steamed dumplings... So yummy..the filling was very flavorful. Then we all ordered different rolls sushi rolls.. I wanted to add this restaurant also has Chinese food it is not only sushi. When our sushi came out they were ok not horrible but I definitely have had a lot better. I can't say the food was bad but not great ...now for service..they need more training.. I didn't expect the best service however some service would be nice. I must add..they do not have any desserts so if you are craving any thing sweet you may want to go somewhere else after you eat.. Overall it isnt bad but not great. I wouldn't go out of my way but of I'm in the neighborhood and craving sushi or Chinese food I would go in.. read more

Queen Sushi : CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT... I've been a frequent customer since the beginning of the Pandemic; have never been disappointed (rare these days). I've selected from their traditional Chinese, sushi & Thai sections & all have been delicious. Delivery arrives hot & almost always SOONER than quoted. Portions are large, food is fresh , & prices are fair. Their Shrimp Pad Thai is a particular favorite of mine, as is the Sushi sampler appetizer. Most Excellent, Queen Sushi ! read more

As a new resident in the area, I needed a good place to order Chinese food from. After receiving a good review from a local, I decided to give Queen Sushi a try. Definitely recommend. The food comes faster than expected, is hot, tastes fresh, and even includes free pork fried rice if you spend over $20. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because they messed up an order and would only give me the correct item if I paid additionally for it. Otherwise I have had no issues and definitely recommend. As an eat in restaurant, I was very impressed. I have been one time and the food came out very quickly. I enjoyed everything I ate and the price was reasonable as well. Overall, take out and dine in were both great. read more

These people are dirty. I am sorry for the customers that love this place. I'm a door dasher and every time I come in here I see something unsanitary! Tonight I saw in the back kitchen the cook picking up food with his bare hands. I also saw the cashier sneeze in his hand and then hand food to another customer without them paying attention. Read the constant health violations on this yelp page and it all makes sense. If you eat here after this review, God be with you! read more

Definitely the place to go for delicious and affordable sushi. They're an easy drive from Mt. Airy. I've had their Mushu Shrimp, Lunch Specials, Shrimp Fried Rice, and sever sushi rolls. Unfortunately, they dropped the ball on the Chicken Teriyaki which was terribly dry, overcooked and likely previously frozen from the taste; the accompanying broccoli was undercooked. I was expecting lots of sauce, but it was lightly drizzled on top of two flat, dense sliced chicken pieces. I couldn't say what cut of the chicken I was eating. I quit after a few bites. Bummer. read more

Yum! I do not know why I have not tried this place until now. Everything we ordered was amazing! The veggies wee super fresh tasting and the sauces were all delicious! They have a great vegetarian menu also! This will be our Chinese restaurant every time we order! read more

Queen Sushi is a great option for the surrounding colleges in the area and anyone who lives in Glenside, because they deliver! I've never had a bad experience here. One time I got the chicken and broccoli and it wasn't good but other than that, delicious! They are located in Keswick Village. Whenever I go inside the restaurant no one is ever sitting down to eat, most of their business is from take-out it seems. The restaurant is pretty small too. Delivery never takes long and if you are a student of a surrounding college they have probably delivered their before and will know where to go. read more

I was hesitant to try this place, because I had heard a lot of mixed reviews. Sushi is my absolute favorite food, and after living in LA for a couple years, I've found it hard to find sushi that compares here in the Philly suburbs. But I was pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong- it's not the BEST sushi in the world, but it was actually pretty good and they have a wide variety of rolls to choose from. The prices are average, but they have fantastic deals on lunch specials for both sushi and Chinese food. There's also an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet on Tuesdays for $23, which is a pretty good deal if you can eat a lot of sushi. My main complaint is that the service is pretty slow, even when there's literally no one else in the restaurant. The servers are all nice, just a bit inattentive. Overall, I like this place. It's a great spot for lunch. (I haven't tried the Chinese food but my boyfriend has commented that it's "pretty good".) read more

This place is a hit or miss. Been here three times and it's been a miss twice. I just moved to Keswick Village and I was so excited to have a place to get bubble tea and sushi within walking distance! I got bubble tea here the first day I moved, and was annoyed because they didn't seem to understand what I was ordering, and I was making myself very clear. Most of my anger erased when I (mostly) ended up getting what I ordered. Had chinese here with a large group, no problems, not the best not the worst. Tried to get bubble tea here again, hoping maybe it was just the person I originally dealt with, but alas, no. Too frustrating to order a dang bubble tea from here, and I now get my chinese take out from Yummy Yummy. I am disappoint. read more

Just an update to my last rave about these guys...So, yesterday, I decided to go to Japan but, unfortunately, my bank account said HAHAHAHA. Hence I decided to head out for the food instead. Queen was right in front of me so the choice was made....but do I get my egg foo young? Do I get Japanese cuisine? My mind was BLOWING! What the hell am I going to eat? Well, I decided I came here for Japanese food and, damn it, that's what I am getting. I ran in to place a take out order for miso soup ( which happily, came with my meal) and Seafood Teriyaki ( I even got a salad). MISO soup was delish. I mean really really good. teriyaki was the best! Get it now! read more

We found ourselves as famished and rushed music fans, with only a short time to spare before a concert at the Keswick. we were quickly seated, efficiently attended to, and accommodated nicely. Being from out-of-town we were unfamiliar with the byob and didn't find out until seated and we'd ordered (I would have run and grabbed a bottle if we would have known going in). But the sushi was fresh and tasty. The dumplings were crispy. I wish we could have had more time to try a few other samplings from the Chinese selections on the menu, but the dishes we saw going to other tables looked very tasty. The decor is, in a word, cheesily-terrific. The next time we hit the Keswick, we're coming armed with sake and the time to enjoy a larger part of the menu. read more

I bring people here now and then because they're usually impressed by the food... but I kind of just think it's meh. Whenever I call to order takeout, they talk really fast and I can't understand them. They sometimes forget to put things in my bag. The vegetable fried rice is soooo good, I will say that. I want a pound of it! Haha. But otherwise, not my favorite in the area. But definitely a good place to take guests and stuff. Oh and it's usually kind of empty-ish so it's good for dates. The first time I went here, it was on a date. It was nice and quiet. read more

Such high hopes... People at work were hankering for sushi at lunch, which is a tall order in Jenkintown. We decided to make the drive over to Queen Sushi in Glenside. They offer Chinese and Japanese. That should have been a tip off, but it wasn't for me. The place isn't a dump or anything. It's clean, well maintained and decently lit. I got a spicy tuna roll and a salmon crunch roll. They have lunch specials that are under $11. It just wasn't that good. The texture was weird and the rice rice wasn't sticky sushi rice. No one else in the group liked the rolls they got either. My more melodramatic friend is concerned he has food poisoning. Maybe they are just a better Chinese place. The egg roll I got was the best thing there. read more

I'm always getting menus from Chinese restaurants and pizzerias, but when you have your standbys, it's not easy for a new place to catch your eye. The menu for Queen came this week, and I wanted to try a few things from their rather large vegetarian selection. They have the usual veggie and bean curd (a.k.a. tofu) entrees, but they also have mock chicken, beef, and duck. We actually ordered carryout the same day I read the menu - I was excited! The food was okay, but I have to admit, it was disappointing. Part of me wants to try another few dishes, but that part is being told to quiet down and not be so charitable. First up - moo shu vegetables. I usually love the cabbage and sweet sauce, and this had the bonus of including broccoli, baby corn, and mushrooms. But the pancakes were dry, stuck together, and inedible. The corn tasted like a can. Not great. Next, vegetarian "beef" with mixed vegetables. The beef tasted like my homemade attempts at seitan, where the stuff still tastes like flour. The sauce was good, but the dish was unremarkable. Finally, we ordered one of the Chef's Specialties - bean curd with general tso's sauce. The silken tofu was deep fried and coated with a sticky, sugary sauce, and there were a few pieces of broccoli alongside. Very disappointing - no spice, no heat, and just sugar and fat for appeal. The two star rating means I've had better. My absolute favorite is Wild Ginger in Huntingdon Valley, and I also prefer China Garden Inn in Willow Grove. I was hoping for a good take out place closer to home, but this isn't it. read more

Queen Sushi has been one of my favorites for years Food: More times than none, I come for the lunch special. During the week, between 11-3, you can get a Chinese lunch special for less than 6$. Included in the lunch special: 1 main entree, white rice or pork fried rice, soup or an egg roll or a soda. Their sweet and sour chicken and sesame chicken are my favorites. Another great special at QS is their All-You-Can-Eat sushi option on Tuesdays. This includes any sushi roll from the menu made to order. 5/5 Service: The employees are very nice and fast. If you ordered pick-up they are quickly getting you in and out with a smile. If you want to sit down they are welcoming and attentive. Ive never had a bad experience with any of the staff at QS. 5/5 Location: Inside is very authentic with traditional Chinese decor. The atmosphere is very warm and comforting and suites the needs of a quick lunch or a proper dinner. As any location in Keswick Village, parking isn't the best. Especially if there is a show at the Keswick Theatre. 4/5 Total: 14/15 read more

I mainly order takeout for this. Their Steamed Pork Dumplings are the BEST. I dunno how they make the soy sauce, but it tastes really, really good with the dumplings. The dumplings also have a lot of meat in them, so I love them :). I would say their specialty is their dumplings (they're even featured in news articles that are hanging on their walls, talking about their special dumplings). I also order their Chicken Mei Fun (rice noodles), which are pretty good, and generously portioned. Their BBQ fried rice was also a nice addition to a meal (not too oily or salty, unlike a lot of Chinese restaurants). I always order their milk tea (according to the receipt, Black Tea with Milk). It's sweet and very pleasant. As for parking, there are lots of spaces in the back, so long as there's no really popular show playing at the Keswick Theater at the time. read more

I've been ordering delivery from this place for the past year, so I finally went in to eat today. The food was great as usual. But the service was horrible. I worked in Glenside a few years ago and ordered some Chinese from them, before I got into sushi, and was always impressed with their food. Recently I've been able to dive more into the sushi scene and have had a hard time finding good local places. Queen is pretty close to home for me and with a big banner boasting "$20 ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI TUESDAYS" I had to give it a shot. The first time I went was with my friend Adam and we got a lovely variety, I absolutely enjoyed my Volcano roll and Spider roll as well as some of Adam's Hamachi roll. For $20, their all you can eat sushi is a great deal considering how much some of the special rolls can cost. And for a sushi novice like myself, its a great chance to open up and try some more things you're not quite familiar with. This past Tuesday I met up for dinner with another friend of mine who's much more well versed in sushi and he said it was just alright, but I still think it was delicious. As some other reviewers have mentioned, the service could stand some improvement, though each time I was there I've never had a problem, they've been very attentive when my drink was getting low and if the plates were becoming empty. They're still absolutely worth checking out! read more

I've gotten delivery from here on more than one occasion and it's usually a hit-or-a-miss. The crab rangoons are good, but my last ones were stale and chewy. The shrimp lo mein was sub-par. The super queen roll and the dragon roll, however, were surprisingly good and I'll probably stick to the sushi from now on when ordering from here. P.S. Unless you like your noodles an unnaturally bright pink color, I'd stay away from the pad Thai. read more

Love this place! Very good sushi for the cost. Not gourmet, but really very very good. Excellent selection, hours and delivery. You can't go wrong. Plus, it's strange to say, but the lady who answers the phone has the best phone etiquette ever. I'll admit, when I order out, I order a lot, and I usually have many special requests. Most pizza places I order from can't get an order of 'extra cheese' right but this place never misses. And after everything you order, you get the most polite "mhmm" assuring you that you've been heard. Philly Roll, "mhmm", Spicy Tuna Roll, "mhmm." It's amazing. read more

This is the best Chinese delivery to Arcadia University. Their lunch and dinner combinations are economical and a nice change from the dining hall. Not as good for dining in as the prices are higher and the service is slow. Also offers student discounts on orders $30+ so combine delivery orders with friends in dorms. Probably not the best if you're a true foody or looking for a nice date night- may want to step it up to Jasmine for that. read more
