I went in for a full set- dip, and a pedicure with gel polish. The nails started out good. They were way too long but she said they would be shortened when she filed them. Then the dreaded tech switch happened halfway through. Anytime the man in a suit or the woman in the fancy dress steps in, you know it's not going to end well. I want someone who knows how to do the service I pay for. He clearly did not know how to finish the nails. One hand has huge, fat nails and the other hand is slim and elegant. My thumbnail was massive on my right hand. I asked him to file them down. He said my right thumb was too wide but he would fix it... eyeroll... he only filed that one and barely knew how to use the filing machine. I hid that hand all day until I could get home and spend hours filing them down to normal. I was embarassed and sad that it was so expensive.

Then another tech told her to sit me in the chair and she told her I had to go to the restroom and they exchanged words and she came back not even a min later and told me they were dry and I was good. I touched the nails to shower they were still wet and I told her I wasn't in a hurry and was going on vacation so i wanted them to look good after going back and forth a bit she took the top coat off and let me go to the bathroom and put it back on when I came back. Then I sat down for what I thought was my pedicure in a chair that was broken and wouldn't let me sit up so I was basically was laying down for my toes. I asked 3 times during my nail apt about my toes to make sure they were still getting done and I was told yes that they'd get done after and I came to realize she had slipped then pedicure and only polished my toes so I asked am I not getting a pedicure and the woman I spoke to when I came in said "you never asked for pedicure!" Which I know I did and I had been coming for months getting the exact same thing every time so i don't know why this time I'd get anything different. I told her I did ask for pedicure and after going back and forth for a bit she said well do it do it for you after skipping nail trimming, cuticle care, filing to shape and everything that goes with the pedicure that is nail care. So I declined and said I'd like to go elsewhere to have my pedicure done since I got argued with and everything else while trying to explain what I wanted wasn't being met. The front desk woman got upset with me when I told her I didn't want them to do my pedicure and told her I was going to go elsewhere and snapped at me. Used to really love this salon and this experience was enough for me to never want to come back. I'll be going to Kaufman nails so they can fix the issues they didn't want to help fix. For future reference instead of telling a customer they never asked for something you should just offer to give them what they want and not argue. Thanks.

I understand that cost of goods are increasing so prices have increased but they wanted to charge me for my nail shape because since I got builder gel, they have to reshape them after and the almond shape costs extra. The service was great and they did an excellent job on my nails and pedicure, but I found the pricing to be arbitrary and expensive. For example, to soak off dip ( while getting a new set) and do a regular almond shape was an additional $15 ( the receipt pictured shows $18 but they reduce it by a few dollars ) . I've gotten my nails done my whole life and I've never had to pay this much to soak off dip when getting a new set and extra for a standard shape . I also felt like the techs did not take no for an answer and were pushy which made me a little uncomfortable. I do think they did a good job but $60+ for dip manicure with no design, standard shape including the discount special offer is expensive. If you don't mind higher prices and feel comfortable declining add ons multiple times, they do a good job.
