The space is an absolute gem now - feels like an authentic restaurant you would find in Greece. The furniture here is more comfortable than the ones in Greece, even! The colors of Greece are noticed in the blues and whites in the Bakery and Breakfast dining area are warm and welcoming. It really feels like an experience in this space now! Our most recent visit was during the re-launch this past weekend. Our server, Dimitri, was great. He was knowledgeable about the menu, he provided attentive but not overbearing service, and he took good care of us. Our food was good. They have a focused menu right now and we are looking forward to the dish specials they will be announcing in a few weeks! I am going to be patient as there is a learning curve with a remodel of the space and menu and staff, too, but I am optimistic of the continued authentic Greek meals my husband and I will be having here in the near future. The cons: The fries were undercooked, they were limp and id say 25% tasted raw(texture) and unevenly seasoned. I was disappointed. Okay no problem I thought, the souvlaki was visually appealing and looked fresh. Well, the meat had absolutely no seasoning on it and was drier than the Sahara desert. The char flavor would have been good if it didn't taste burnt and had seasoning on it and wasn't so dry. The Taziki sauce was fresh, but it just tasted like plain yogurt, I didn't get any flavor of cucumber, dill, or spices. Final takeaway: I looked at my food before I left and I instantly felt robbed. I wasn't going to make a conclusion until I tasted it though. $27 dollars should get you well cooked fries that are tossed to ensure even seasoning. $27 should get you meat that isn't dry and is seasoned. $27 dollars should get you Taziki that isn't just plain yogurt. It was very very fresh and certainly far from unpalatable. I ate it, but boy I felt bad paying $27 dollars for it when most of my dissatisfaction is easy to fix. It just isn't worth it, I wouldn't pay that much for it. $15-$16 bucks sure, no problem. I won't be coming back.
