The search for an honest mechanic is over. On two occasions, the mechanics here have told me I didn't need to change my oil yet when they could have just done it and got paid. They lost the cash for the jobs in the short term, but instead they earned my loyalty. Add to that, they have the best repair prices I've seen (sometimes half the prices of other places). Amusing decorations inside, too. It helps the place feel like a real American auto shop. Make sure to find the sign that says, "Unattended children will be given espresso and a free kitten." Terrible service. Before it changed hands it was service with a smile, oil and tires checked, car vacuumed, windows washed. Well worth the extra money. Now you pull in and no one greets you. Have to pry someone out from behind the counter . Very disappointing. Guess ill buy a tire guage, go to Town Pump and gas up and use the vacuums there. read more

I was irritated that a Sinclair would have only 85 octane, and that probably with ethanol. Ethanol reduces the car's fuel economy, yet costs a lot! Driving up I saw the Welcome Canadians, Eh? sign, and was startled to see two men approaching my car. I don't think I've ever been to a real, full-service petrol station. That's what they were out there to do: pump gas, vacuum the floors, check the oil, fluids, wash the windows. It freaked me out :). I moved to the self ser side as the interior was already clean. We chatted up inside while my tank filled. Nice station. If you get stuck in Helena, at least this place is here. read more

Despite me not liking Helena in general (the town seemed dirty and unfriendly) ; I wasn't impressed with the service here either. Again people seemed quite rude. Tim's Exxon is the only gas station I plan on including in my road trips if I'm going through Helena. I tell all of mu friends to go there if they are making a drive that takes them though Helena. If you live in or are going to be passing through Helena get your gas here. I have calculated how much gas I have and how many miles it is to this station in order to stop there for fuel. The full service is a dream come true. Out of no where comes a crew of guys who are cleaning your windows and your dash and all around and vacuuming the floor. It is a real treat. The men's bathroom is also decorated awesome with pictures of old cars and stuff. I hear the decorating in the women's bathroom is also amazing but I cannot speak to that. They have a big sign outside usually says something like 'Welcome Canadians' or something friendly and streamers decorating the outside as well. However, they are closed on some holidays with the full service so if you go on a holiday it might just be pay at the pump that day. read more

This is service! Just say "fill er up" and "check under the hood". As full service gas station they wash the windows, (not with a squigy-by hand) vacuum the floors, (front and back) plus they checked all the fluids under the hood, checked the tires, and chatted it up with me the whole time. If you have ever wanted a pool boy, but don't have a pool.....here's your chance at a different venue. This place is such a great little full service fuel station. Even though you have the option for full or self service. The staff is always super friendly, well dressed, clean, and so helpful that it makes you wonder how they get customer service right in a world where it seems to be a lost art. They also have great fuel. I get on average about 13% better mileage with their fuel than I do with competing stations in the area using methanol in their fuel. read more

I never thought getting my oil changed would be a fun experience until going to Tim's. Upon calling to make an appointment, they were more than accommodating to get me in. I brought my vehicle there, expecting to get a ride back to it shortly but unfortunately couldn't pick it up until the end of the day, which didn't bother them at all. Once I was able to get my car, I found it sparkling clean (almost as if I had paid to get it detailed), I didn't get pressured into changing air filters or anything else unnecessary, and the total bill was completely affordable.
