This is my favorite torta place! The best bolillos I've had. I get the torta special, usually the half with pico but when I'm really hungry I just get the full sandwich. Their chipotle sauce is fire and the lettuce and tomato are still a good crunch texture even though it's a hot sandwich. I hate it when my lettuce and tomato are soggy in a hot sandwich. Was in the area, craving juice or a smoothie, saw this place and decided to check it out. Went on Friday at around noon and parking was ok. It's located in a strip mall so lunchtime can get busy. Walking in, it was quiet. There were only a few tables and all occupied. It's definitely geared more for take-out. On the overhead menu board, there's various tortas, sandwiches, juices, smoothies & salads. There were also desserts in the display case. I recently tried Que Tortas after spending the day moving storage units and craving a good torta. I'm really glad I decided to give this place a try. Gentleman behind the counter recommended the combo torta with pork loin and ham, and I ordered it as it comes -- it was delicious. The flavors were on point, and I especially appreciated how soft and fresh the bread was, which really made the sandwich. The place is clean and provided for a relaxing place to enjoy my torta. Since the bread is kind-of bulky, we both thought a tad bit more meat would've been nice, but we ate the entire 1/2 sandwiches and maybe, 50-60% of our fruit (very generous portions & so fresh; topped w/ cottage cheese, coconut flakes, raisins & granola w/ optional honey in a cup, too) ! The amount of chicken was very small thin slices, not flavorful at all, the ingredients were very basic (tomato, lettuce, onion). The tortas here seem to be a on a very basic, not exciting level not to mention it was $17 and some change for only a half order of a torta and a can of soda, I can't imagine how much the whole torta costs. This ain't no taco shop. This should be your go-to shop to get delicious tortas, smoothies, and aguas frescas. I tried the combination torta (ham and pork loin) and it was terrific. The bread was nice and soft and all of the other ingredients (avocado, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and jalapeños) were very fresh and high quality. It's not a deli sandwich so don't expect a mountain of meat. The meat is very proportionate to the other ingredients. It's plenty of food. The front counter display is a thing of beauty. There's a ton of fresh fruit and desserts right in front of you. You want an agua fresca? They'll make it fresh for you right there. The workers couldn't have been nicer. And the place is spotlessly clean. There should be many more reviews for this place. They are working very hard here. Go give them a try. read more

Been going to the Que Torta in Escondido/ Vista for the last couple of years now. Soo happy that there's one n my home town...San Marcos!! Everything on their menu is super fresh and tasty. I love that the Tortas are huge and well made that you're able to leave with a happy full belly. ^_^ their customer service is also great. I really appreciate that they greeted us right when we arrived and let us know if we had any questions to not hesitate to ask. Just wow!!!! My boyfriend and I randomly stopped here this morning and we're so impressed. Hands down the best torta we've ever had. I ordered a turkey torta, chips, and a drink for lunch. The torta was $14.60. I left a 20% tip. When the torta came out, there was one slice of turkey on it and chipotle sauce (which I asked for no sauce). I brought it up to the register and the cashier argued with me about how there is 6 slices of turkey, which there obviously was not. I just asked to be refunded.
