As soon as I saw the pics I knew we were going to come here. The workers were so so nice and also some other patrons came up to talk to us about our trip to PR. Overall it was such a great place. My bf loved his coffee drink a ton. My matcha was good too altho it was a little more sweet than I like it. Next time I'm in Cayey and I would def stay at the 1912 hotel and then in the morning I will walk on over to D'Ponke for my morning bev.

I ordered the ham and cheese sandwich. It took a while for my order to be done but the sandwich was simple and delicious. They used really good pan sobao and it was toasted. The service was friendly but it did take a while since it was only one person handling all of the orders. The prices were very reasonable considering how big the portions are. I would definitely return when I'm back in the area to try out the donuts and other sweets.

The staff seemed more focused on chatting and chilling than paying attention to the few customers they had. For two sandwiches, the total was $24, which made the long wait and lack of service even more frustrating. The ambiance is not clean, not organized, it is a cafe and mini market at the same time. The walls and ceilings are dirty, and there are flys and other flying insects all over the place. The food tasted fine once it finally arrived, but the order was incorrect, and the overall experience left a sour taste. Definitely not the level of service I'd expect from a neighborhood café on a slow morning.
