We stopped in for some pastries and sat down for some coffee and breakfast. Staff were kind and helpful. All the pastries and food was great. Reason for 4 stars is tables were not cleaned between people. We stopped several times to get pastries and meals throughout our vacation. Would recommend and if you can take it on the go. Highly recommended! Delicious sandwiches, quick service, and good prices. Ample space to eat. We went early on a Sunday and we're able to get our order within 15 minutes. We had a 1lb loaf of bread prepared as a sandwich with mortadella, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise and butter. We pad $22 for the sandwich, a Malta, and a 10 oz coffee. Fact check: they claim they have the best sandwiches in Ponce. My son says they have the best sandwiches in Puerto Rico. read more

We have heard so many great things about this place in our last visit that we had to come. I was not pleased with this place at all. They gave me my order wrong twice. On the third time I took whatever they gave me. The place smelled like bad meat and I even saw one of the counter girls grab a fork and literally eat strait from the food they were serving from behind the counter. I could not believe it! They wear masks due to the cdc mandate, but it does not mean cleanliness is one of their strong suits. I gave this place one star because the owners were very special to my group and extremely kind. Tripleta! Cuban! Media Noche! These sandwiches and many many more will take your taste buds hostage. They claimed to be the best sandwich shop in Puerto Rico, and they are. We spent three days in the Ponce area and we came to to this restaurant three times. With a friendly staff, local crowd, convenient location, and good prices this place is as good as it can it. One of the obvisious secrets to their sandwiches is fresh bread, local flavor and just enough meat on each sandwich. The other reviews on here are accurate. This place is great. The sandwiches are really tasty (I've had the Cubano, jamon queso y huevo, and medianoche) and all were really good. I prefer the medianoche since it is on pan sobado. The quesitos are really big and good but aren't the best in ponce. I actually think the best sandwiches are at siglo bakery in ponce and the best quesitos are at guarina also in ponce. However, this is a great bakery. You can't go wrong here. read more

I stopped by Florida bakery on my way to the south of PR and absolutely love love love it. This was a great place to chat it up with locals and the variety of pastries and sandwiches is really good. If you are ordering a sandwich and the cafeteria is busy, you will wait a while, but feel free to have a cafe con leche or jugo de parcha (passion fruit juice) while you wait. I had their turkey and cheese sandwich which was grilled on a press and very tasty. Their french fries were delicious and their donuts knock any Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme out of the park by a long shot. I will definitely keep this place in mind the next time I pass through Ponce. read more

I'm sorry if I disapointment some by the review. What I mean is that most of the previous reviews are very positive, mine is not. I remember er that back when I was younger Ponce was well know for the quality of the pastries in several of their panaderías. So, a few days ago I, while passing by the city, I looked for a good bakery on Yelp. The Florida Bakery was highly recommended. I try several of their pastries, but was very disappointed. Florida Bakery is the best in Ponce. They offer more than just super tasty sandwiches. You can get freshly baked puertorrican bread and buy some butter and you do not need anything else. Or you can order from their puertorrican breakfast or lunch (not self serving) hot buffet. Breakfast and lunch (non self serving) hot buffet open early so by 9am there might not be of yummy cremas left for breakfast and by 1pm, lunch items might gone as well. So get there early. Their sandwiches are not big, compared to other bakeries, but they are still big enough and packed with flavor. Also try the quesitos, pastelillos de carne and tembleque. You will not regret it. Great place and the owner is very friendly and fluent in both English and Spanish. Another place to try, but you will have to get up super early in the morning, is El Monstro de los Sandwiches. That is a lunch truck parked about a mile from Florida Bakery, going towards the Rt. 2 (Ponce By Pass). The truck will be under a tree right next to the Triangle car dealership. There is always a long line early in the morning but they will give samples away while you wait for your order to be ready. read more

Open 24 hours, which blows my mind. Popped in for a breakfast to eat in the car on the drive back to San Juan. JQH plain, café, y a mallorca glazed to go was $5.70 and delicious. The staff is a little disorganized... when I ordered a baked good with my breakfast sandwich, they had to ask someone at the other counter how much it was. Same with the coffee... I guess you're supposed to order everything separately, but that was not obvious to me walking in for the first time and just seeing one cash register.
