First off, this is a 5-star movie, and somehow we were the only people in the theater. Completely empty. No crying kids, no chatter, no distractions. Was I confused? A little. Complaining? Absolutely not. I was thrilled. The theater itself is very clean and well-maintained. The sound is excellent, the 3D effects are impressive, and the brightness of the screen is just right--clear, crisp, and very easy on the eyes. Honestly, the movie space alone made the experience feel premium and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. That said... the beer prices? $18 for one beer? Respectfully--no. Hard pass. I'm very glad I stopped at Hooters beforehand for a reasonably priced one. Some things just don't need to be that ambitious. Concessions were a mixed bag. The popcorn was extremely salty, and the beverages were flat, which was disappointing. But in the grand scheme of things, the actual movie-watching experience is what matters most--and that part delivered. All in all, a quiet, comfortable, high-quality viewing experience. Empty theater, great sound, great visuals. I'll take that any day.

Which size and quantity, they seemed more like large to me & shareable . Wonderful location in a historical neighborhood surrounded by incredible beautiful real estate. Many restaurants and shopping nearby. If you drive; there's free parking on the street. Watch the signs. If you take public transportation, the Burlington Metra Line is just North of this Location on the LaGrange Road stop. If you drive South of here you'll find Don Javi's a fantastic quick taco place. Casa Margarita is on this same area, nice sit down restaurant; family style with famous margaritas. If you want to visit one of the very Best Flower Shops you'll find; Phillip's Flowers is further North up LaGrange near the Cemeteries. The theater is a decent size especially considering it's in the Chicago Ridge Mall, they even had a bar in the theater which is a nice touch, concessions, and even had a lot of mini claw machines. It was really cool that AMC even had merch of their own and even from various movies as well. Movie Experience: The movie was showing in screen/theater 2 and the layout of the theater was nice. The movie in my opinion was really good and they even had a post-credit scene with both Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the theater walls at least in screen/theater 2 are thin as I was hearing muffled audio from the theater next door. I'm wondering how this can be resolved. Maybe sound proofing each theater to truly get the full movie theater experience? Just my thoughts on this. Claw Machines: The claw machines are $1 per play. The claw machines don't accept bills or card, so you have to go to this machine that gives you tokens. My boyfriend spent $5 in tokens and unfortunately I didn't win anything even though some of the prizes looked gettable. Overall Experience: Overall, I had great experiences at the AMC theater in the Chicago Ridge mall. The theater was clean, easy to navigate, & the bathrooms were clean. Definitely need to go back soon and hopefully I can win me some cute plushies from their mini claw machines. The theater is hard to locate unless you're intimately familiar with Oakbrook Mall and maybe not the easiest choice if your sole purpose is seeing a movie. If you're shopping and need a break - this is a great choice. Once you arrive, the ticket kiosks are front and center. The easiest way to get your tickets currently is to swipe the credit card you used online. Your tickets will print from the kiosk. Confusingly, there was no ticket agent anywhere to collect tickets. No big deal from a consumer perspective though. The actual auditorium was nice. All the seats recline (the black button to recline is next to the middle of your outer thigh). They are a bit narrow for recliners, but comfy. Sight lines were good. According to my date, the women's restroom was disgusting, so that should be addressed by management. Otherwise, a good choice once you locate it.

Then why is it currently on AMC's website like it's always a thing? You would think the theater would just honor it or escalate to corporate if it is bad advertising.
