First off, this is a 5-star movie, and somehow we were the only people in the theater. Completely empty. No crying kids, no chatter, no distractions. Was I confused? A little. Complaining? Absolutely not. I was thrilled. The theater itself is very clean and well-maintained. The sound is excellent, the 3D effects are impressive, and the brightness of the screen is just right--clear, crisp, and very easy on the eyes. Honestly, the movie space alone made the experience feel premium and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. That said... the beer prices? $18 for one beer? Respectfully--no. Hard pass. I'm very glad I stopped at Hooters beforehand for a reasonably priced one. Some things just don't need to be that ambitious. Concessions were a mixed bag. The popcorn was extremely salty, and the beverages were flat, which was disappointing. But in the grand scheme of things, the actual movie-watching experience is what matters most--and that part delivered. All in all, a quiet, comfortable, high-quality viewing experience. Empty theater, great sound, great visuals. I'll take that any day.

Hey fellow Yelpers! I've been to this AMC theater a few times and it's always great time. Me and…read moremy boyfriend recently went on a movie date to see Karate Kid: Legends. The theater is a decent size especially considering it's in the Chicago Ridge Mall, they even had a bar in the theater which is a nice touch, concessions, and even had a lot of mini claw machines. It was really cool that AMC even had merch of their own and even from various movies as well. Movie Experience: The movie was showing in screen/theater 2 and the layout of the theater was nice. The movie in my opinion was really good and they even had a post-credit scene with both Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the theater walls at least in screen/theater 2 are thin as I was hearing muffled audio from the theater next door. I'm wondering how this can be resolved. Maybe sound proofing each theater to truly get the full movie theater experience? Just my thoughts on this. Claw Machines: The claw machines are $1 per play. The claw machines don't accept bills or card, so you have to go to this machine that gives you tokens. My boyfriend spent $5 in tokens and unfortunately I didn't win anything even though some of the prizes looked gettable. Overall Experience: Overall, I had great experiences at the AMC theater in the Chicago Ridge mall. The theater was clean, easy to navigate, & the bathrooms were clean. Definitely need to go back soon and hopefully I can win me some cute plushies from their mini claw machines. I hope this review helps AMC in Chicago Ridge, IL location, AMC in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

My daughter has some membership there, so she got a free small popcorn. The popcorn turned out to be stale and lackluster. Afterwards, I went to the counter with the small bag still full, and told them about this, asking for some fresh popcorn. I was told by a manager that this was their "ranch popcorn" that they gave out for the coupons and it was prepackaged. They could not substitute the regular fresh popcorn for it which he called "Gourmet Popcorn". So, popcorn being incredibly cheap in the first place, a manager could not see the benefit of having a happy customer over an unhappy one.
