I took him to another practice and he was diagnosed in s30 econds and had major surgery the next morning. I will never set foot in the place again You also are greeted at the surgery by a not very friendly receptionist with long, painted nails who seemed to be more interested in mopping the floor, selling goods from the shop and answering the phone than anything else!!!! An all round nasty experience!!!! Our animals deserve better. A one star rating is one star too many

We searched the internet for the RSPCA or RSPB but found nothing within 50 miles of our home.We found a phone number for Kirks Vets in Sleaford and decided to give them a call. The lady asked if we could bring the bird down to her to have a look at.We went down after 10 p.m. but sadly the bird was too damaged to be helped.The vet offered to put the bird to sleep free of charge and thanked us for being bothered to try to save it.It is good to know that there are people out there who are so willing to help in situations like this.Many thanks to Kirks Vets for a superb and caring service.

He had to have surgery and stay in for a few days and well, he didn't want to come home! They are well cared for and loved by all the staff there. They use their name to make them feel at home. I was given an initial quote which seems very reasonable although after the surgery they said they had complications which then increased my bill which is understandable. It is quite a busy little pratice but they do make room for you if you call for an appointment. There are emergency consultations too. A great vets and the only one I ever go to now.

They have seen two of our cherished pets from puppyhood through to that awful last goodbye, and their compassion and support could not be bettered. At one point when we discovered that one of our young Springer Spaniels needed complicated orthopaedic surgery, our fears for the little lad were calmed by realising what incredibly good hands he was in. Everything that Mr Elwood said would happen, did happen, and our boy was given many more years of happy and active life. Even when we moved away for a short time, we still continued to use them and were happy to travel in order for our dogs to keep that wonderful level of care that all the members of the surgery gave them. Despite the website stating direct claims with insurance companies can be agreed I was told no and payment is required every 24 hours. I challenged the lie we were told by the clinical director and she ignored it. A complaint was raised and I received what appears to be a copy and paste mission statement. Despite being with the vets for 14 years and paying thousands of pounds in bills on time they simply don't care. Money is the one and only focus of this practice and not the pet's immediate care. We have thankfully found a family run practice with the best interests of our pets at heart. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement.

Took a day off to make sure my cat got sorted. The lady on the desk make it sound like the fault is on me that I came to the wrong branch, which is unacceptable and quite rude since the email I got is a proof of that. The only good thing is she managed to request appointment in the other branch which is in the other side of the city and is quite hassle to get there because of the distance and there is an repair on the other place so the parking will be a nightmare. Please own it if you made a mistake, that's the point of the customer service. Don't make it sound like your patient made a mistake and make us feel bad about it. My cat is already stressed, me and my fiancé also struggle about it, but please please don't make us feel even more worse with trying to put the blame on us. I really appreciate that you manage to get the appointment sorted in different place on the same day. Thank you for that. This review is for the service from the front desk customer service and the system, not for the vets since this is my first time there. Hopefully the service in the front desk doesn't reflect the quality of the vets for Daisy.

He is the only vet there and so you get his full and personal attention (he did take a brief vacation last year when he had a young lady take his place - and she was wonderful too!). Indeed you could imagine a British TV show about this man and his business. Oh wait a minute - that was done already back in the day (1978-1990): "All Creatures Great and Small" The surgery itself comprises a waiting area and his office/surgery. We LOVE the personal service that he gives, so does our beloved little guy "Ricky Martin" our 6 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix born (and dumped roadside) in Houston, TX - thank goodness we found each other!! The occurrence that comes to mind is about 6 months ago when little Ricky (on an extended leash while walking with me) was attacked with no warning by a ferocious German Shepherd (Alsatian) which the owner was allowing to run free (forbidden in the UK) - yes I later found the address of the thoughtless owner, reported him to the police and now he has to keep the dangerous dog on a leash with a muzzle or he will go to prison. However, Ricky was bleeding and we got him immediately to the Doc who calmed him, shaved the area of the bite, studied and informed us that had the bite been 1/4 inch deeper or 1/4 inch to the left the carotid artery would have been severed and he would have bled out on the spot. He explained everything to us, advised why he was NOT going to use stitches, gave us painkillers for the little guy and antibiotics. Follow up a week later and all has been well since he pretty much fully recovered a month or so later. Poor little Ricky will not walk with me through those areas where he was attacked - his memory remains, as does ours of this wonderful, caring vet Two big thumbs up and one little paw up! Mrs Wharmby was lovely, she was very calming to both my dog and myself and as an owner who loves her pet like a child was extremely professional in explaining everything she was doing and why (my last vet was very stern which is why I left) and also allaying my fears after I had googled my dogs symptoms stupidly before going! My dog was treated and given medication and food to take home and within 4 days all symptoms had gone, much to my relief. A very busy vets but I was given an appointment on the same day and was seen within 5 mins of my appointment. Staff were polite and cost was reasonable. Large car park, which is needed as people were also driving in with horse boxes x 10/10

There would never be enough stars I could give Swayne & Partners as they are absolutely fantastic…read more They we're kind and caring with all the animals they see, they took my Teddy in on an emergency late one night with a twisted bowel, the vet was waiting in reception as we arrived and took him off to X-ray him while we were booking him in then came out to tell us they had to operate on him straight away they saved his life and we are so grateful to them all from the vet's, nurses and reception staff they are all so kind and caring. We also had to have our nearly 17 year old jack russell "Jake" put to sleep and once again they did it with kindness and dignity. We would recommend them very very highly. The only reason I don't currently take my pets to this surgery is because of the lack of parking…read more(I'm disabled and can't lug a cat basket up the road!) I used this surgery all through my childhood/ teenage years and my family still do. They have given my mum huge help through difficult illnesses with her pets. On boxing day before we moved back to the area, our dog ripped her face open in the woods and we used the out of hours emergency service at Swayne and Partners. The vet was absolutely lovely and you wouldn't have known that our dumb mutt had ripped him away from his family! Highly recommended.
