Happy Friday! I am a current intern at Quantum Financial Advisors for Joe Rinaldi and coming to you with this post to share my current experinces. My experince so far has been an eye opener to the world of business and finance. As a rising sophmore at the College of Charleston I have little experince in the business world and Mr. Rinaldi has helped me grow and understand things outside of a classroom. My first accomplishment at QFA was reading and summarizing Mr. Rinaldis book, "a beginning guide to Alternative Assets", as all interns are required to do. This book has equiped me with the information nessacry to promote finincal literacy and inclucion in the Rockville community of Maryland. Through this internship I have attened several important confrence calls with other CIOs, on various capital markets topics and have summarized for the president. A lunch meeting I recently attened was with the CIOs on "Private credit". It was one of the best oppertunities I have been able to act on. In a private event, listening in on professionals learning about thier topics and passions, it was truly inspiring. Everyday I come into the QFA offcie I walk out with new experinces, knowledge and overall oppertunity. This past summer, I've gotten the opportunity to intern at QFA and assist in a variety of projects that have increased my exposure to the finance and business world. I've gotten bloomberg certified through Bloomberg Education in Bloomberg Market Concepts, attended conference calls with other financial professionals in the DMV area, learned to use a Bloomberg terminal, read and summarized chapters from a book regarding financial literacy and even worked on other small projects to help advertise QFA such as editing graphics and presentations. All of these experiences have allowed me to develop the skills needed to pursue a career in the business world that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Mr. Rinaldi put in the time to individually check in with all of his interns including myself to provide feedback on resumes, assign meaningful projects, and recommend additional work outside of our hours that can strengthen our skill set and expand our connections in the future. I've been a finance intern at Quantum Financial Advisors, and it's honestly been such a great experience. From the very first day, everyone was welcoming and willing to help me learn, which made a huge difference as I was just starting out in the field. I have been working at Quantum Financial Advisors as an intern for three months and the experience here is great. The working environment here is comfortable and colleagues here are easygoing. I'm mainly responsible for doing company research, M & A analysis and equity research. There are always some new things to learn and that's what I think make this experience exciting and valuable. Furthermore, what makes this an outstanding opportunity to learn and grow is that Mr. Rinaldi took me to a meeting with other financial advisors at the Capital Grille in Chevy Chase MD. The topic was timely as it was about the new trends in the business for financial advisors. The discussions were thought-provoking, from which I got some brand-new ideas on this business, especially on how to improve our customers' experience. That's something that could never be learned in a class. I give this internship a five star rating and highly recommend it. I have had the pleasure of working for Quantum Financial Advisors as an International Investment Intern. This program is very competitive with over a thousand applicants but it has been wonderful learning under the mentorship of the CIO, Joe Rinialdi. My experience at Quantum has been educational and formative. I have gained valuable knowledge and skills during my hands-on experience in the financial sector. During my time at Quantum, I have learned to use Bloomberg by completing many different projects using the software. I have conducted research and analysis on potential clients, collaborated with a team on projects related to business development and financial planning strategies, and have written memos summarizing Mr. Rinaldi's book, "A Beginning Guide to Alternative Assets". I completed the Bloomberg Terminal Certification and applied it to research and financial analysis. I have a long track record in finance but trading and portfolio management is not my forte. I prefer to leave this kind of thing to the experts. I have been with Joe at Quantum Financial Advisors for 10 years and my parents are also with QFA. To date my IRA value has petty much doubled while the S&P and the Dow Jones Indices have been flat. I think that's impressive and am very confident in Joe's expertise. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a financial advisor should get to know them because they are managing your money and you need them to take a personal interest in working for you.
