When my husband and…read more I were initially searching for some support with our finances, we were looking for someone who could meet us at our level and explain financial topics in ways we could understand ( HSAs, Roth IRAs, Traditional IRAs, HYSAs, etc.) We were looking for someone who help us understand our current financial picture and whether we were saving enough to be able to retire at our desired age, be able to enjoy our current hobbies of traveling, and pay for medical expenses we will have. As a woman who got married later and came to my marriage with assets, I wanted to make sure I was making smart financial decisions with regards to my investments, savings, and spending habits as I know I will take home less money than my husband. We found that in Kevin and are so grateful for his knowledge and guidance. Kevin has helped me understand my financial portfolio and adjust my investment choices to match my financial goals. He has a unique approach to providing guidance with regards to finances which involves front loading the work together with weekly meetings the first month followed by check-ins and continued financial information through articles on various financial topics. We highly recommend working with Kevin if you are looking for solid guidance around your finances.

I also didn't know if I was being too hasty in pursuing a financial advisor when I was just starting out; was the investment in a financial planner worth it considering I had little assets, a moderate paycheck, and student loan debt? Since I was rather anxious in not wanting to make mistakes that could impact the rest of my financial life, I decided to look into Kevin. His website drew me in with his focus on millennials and the unique financial challenges we face. He seemed real and truthful which is what I was looking for above all else. Someone to give me real, concrete advice, and not take advantage of me considering my limited understanding in "adult" finances. After my first free consultation I knew I was in good hands and that his website accurately reflected his values. Although it was a financial investment to get a financial planner, Kevin has helped me set up a future that is beyond worth the money I spent/spend. We continue to have check-ins as my financial situation changes and he never holds judgement when I need a concept explained or broken down considering money has a lot of jargon. I now feel confident in my plans for paying off my student debt, investing in my future, and living a normal life all at the same time. I recommend him to all my friends and coworkers when conversations turn to finances as we all navigate this often challenging money world.

Introduction: When…read moreyou just move here from West Coast, it can be a challenge trying to find someone you trust to do your taxes. I literally called 15 Tax advisors, until I got lucky and found Delisa. Customer Service: 5/5 Talking about the best service we've ever received, not just as a tax advisor, but in general. Delisa goes above and beyond for us, more importantly, flexible and super easy to work with. Knowledge: 5/5 There's a reason why I came back the second year and plan on using Delisa every year as our tax advisor as long as we live here. Obviously, Delisa is super knowledgeable with every aspect, but what's impressive is how current Delisa is in staying up to date with all the new laws, guidelines and rules. You can clearly see how genuine Delisa is when helping us. She gives you 110% of her attention. Furthermore, her attention to details is stunning. Price: 5/5 With the amount of work, details and service we got, the price becomes secondary. Office Cleanliness: 5/5 IMMACULATE! Even though there was three of us in the room, Delisa does not take any chances when we met in person. Delisa ensure that she met us at a larger conference room, so that we can comply and adhere to social distancing with ease. Tips: Once you give Delisa a chance, I am pretty certain she'll be your tax advisor next year and the next and the next.

Whereas other lenders tried to make my life difficult, Kevin made it easier. He streamlined things and he moved quickly. We closed in three weeks (and probably could've closed sooner, honestly)! He was always just a call, text, or email away and I never, ever was left in the dark when it came to my file. I would strongly recommend TML and Kevin, specifically, to anyone who wants a straightforward, kind, detail-oriented, and honest partner. Also, Kevin is just a cool dude - not going to lie. He consistently gave me the real and was just as disappointed as I was that rates kept going up. To that end, it's important to note that Kevin checked in with me regularly because he wanted to make sure I got a good rate BEFORE the rates really skyrocketed. Glad he did. I truly enjoyed working with him. And if this review doesn't convince you that he's awesome, then ask yourself this: if he's not the best to ever do it, why was he featured on the news and other folks from other companies were not? #questionsthatneedanswers Anyway, hit up The Mortgage Link. Ask for Kevin. Tell him Destiny sent you. Note: For what it's worth, everyone else at the company that I worked with was incredibly nice and prompt, too. (Hi, Merridith!) Kevin was my fave, though.

I think just about anyone would be well-served to have an expert who deals in finance all day long take a look at their circumstances and make sure they are doing everything they can to maximize their wealth. I was first looking for someone to do taxes in 2018 for the 2017 tax year. As usual, I did reviews before trusting my taxes to anyone. I researched the "big" commercial names, like H&R Block and the do it yourself names but wanted to know they would be done right the first time. I stumbled upon Crystal Tax and couldn't be happier. Mr. Geever is knowledgeable, super prompt to reply to email and incredibly quick with the preparation (and it didn't hurt that I got a refund!). We haven't even met - everything has been online or through email, which is great as it is hard to get to an accountant when you work. And Rich was patient with my tax questions. I had no hesitation trusting him to do my taxes again this year. I was nervous that I had waited too long and he would be unable to get them done in time, but he turned them around in 2 days - that's impressive! I will no doubt continue to go back to him for my tax needs.

Being in the mortgage industry, I naturally have met many financial planners in the DC metropolitan area. Troy is wildly different from this and his genuine concern and desire to help clients from all different stages of life is clear as day. Proof that the lender really matters and makes a difference, I have never experience that in any of the multiple deals I have worked jointly with Matt. His knowledge of all the available programs to help buyers with down payment or closing costs is vast. His ability to create spreadhseets that clearly show our clients their options is so helpful.
