When you cook it, it will be nice and crispy up on the outside, but will remain nice and juicy on the inside. Best for fried rice, with eggs, with your sandwich, or whatever you want to use it for. It's very quick and easy to cook. Hours: They open from 9am to 4pm every day except for Wednesday. On Wednesday they open from 9am to 12pm. Overall: I stopped in on the weekend because I couldn't find any lap cheong/sausages for my grandma at my local asian market. Instead of going to another market I decided to go straight to the source. The purchase was quick and easy and the owner was friendly. The owner is very nice and full of personality. She is all business, hard working, takes care of customers quickly, and often has something funny to say. It's hard to pick a favorite because they're all good for different reasons. Pork chicken (5/5) is good for when I'm trying to be a little "healthier." Pork liver (5/5) has a mineral quality that I love and it's perfect with a bowl of hot rice. Pork (5/5) is the OG. If I had to pick, the pork may be my favorite because I can have it all the time. It's great for a quick meal, in sticky rice, and steamed. My favorite way (and least healthy) to eat these sausages is to cook them in my rice pot on top of the rice. When the rice is cooking, the sausages are steaming and the juices from the sausage flavor the rice. Slice the sausages thin and serve it with the rice, and top with green onion or cilantro...amazingly simple and delicious. These are also great gifts for people. I often buy a dozen sausages to take home to family in Hawaii. They are huge fans! Parking is convenient and ample. There also isn't a snap that I would expect out of a sausage. It's more fresh and not as dried compared to what we see in super markets. The texture and flavor is way better than the different brands I've bought in 99 Ranch. I've tried the pork and chicken, and the pork ones. The pork and chicken definitely had a softer texture than the pork one. I love buying multiple packs. I'm a college student and it is a quick and easy meal. When I cook rice, I just toss 2 sausages on the top. 30 minutes later, I have fluffy rice and a perfectly steamed lap cheong. Do note that IT IS CASH ONLY. You walk inside a store way too large for the number of products they sell, and all you see are 3 types of sausage, maybe 6 sausages per package, laying in a relatively empty large display case and one little Vietnamese (?) guy hidden by a large counter. I've always came here with family when I was younger, and I absolutely love it even more now that I'm in college. This place is known for their Chinese sausages-- which are pretty amazing and different from packaged Chinese sausage. On top of that, they offer a variety of sausages-- from chicken to pork, and even a combination of both. Personally, I really enjoy the sausages here because they are a lot sweeter and they taste a lot softer-- which makes the sausages have a "fresh" taste to them. As for service and pricing, I cannot really comment much about them because (1) this isn't a restaurant, but the workers here pretty attentive. And for pricing, I really don't pay for the stuff since my mom is the one that buys the sausages; however, I would say that my mom is a smart and thrifty shopper, so the prices here are most likely reasonable.
