The place: Corner of the street (kind of on a triangle intersection), about a 1 minute walk from the metro exit. Has lots of potential inside to be a nice stylish place, but they somehow miss it by one step. Food: Buffet everyday baby, lunch and dinner, so anywhere between 6.50 to 12.50 Euro depending the day and time. They're even open Sundays. The type that makes your arteries scream cause its all fried. Or a lot of it is. Then the deserts have pure candy. That's right baby, coke bottle jellies and the sort. Seems like they also have some pick your own wok thing going, for that, you'll have to go yourself. Bathroom: Ok. Well again, has the potential to be good, but just one thing missing. Can't put my finger on it. Clean, the door closes and the light works. You'd be surprised how exciting that can be. Staff: Friendly. We did take out sushi, and they still sat us at a table while we waited and gave us free tea (well actually I'm sure its left over Christmas punch but whatever, nice). And we only spend 6.20 on take out. So in my book, pretty good. I also want to say that there seems to be a lot of curries, noodles and rice on the menu. I don't speak German but that's what I understood. So there might be a lot more to this place. You can eat here easily around 7 Euros. So, why the three stars? Service was nice, too much fried food, the price was good, but there's just something that doesn't get it to the four star rank. Can't put my finger on it, but I pass there often enough that I'm sure I'd try it again. Can't beat the price.

First impressions were good as the outside seating area is nice and spacious. The menu looked interested and the starter section looked pretty pricey so we skipped it (ice dream factory is a few doors away :D ). Is ordered calamari risotto and Marina (the gf) ordered calamari and homemade noodles. My meal was black with squid ink... I missed that on the menu. Not a problem but I may have ordered differently if I saw that. Taste was pretty good. But as it was so black it kind of ruined the visual side of enjoying the meal. Plus hard to tell how much calamari there was. Marinas food was good but pretty spicy. I think if you order via delinski it is ok price wise. Otherwise, for the quality I wouldn't go there again. Unless I booked through delinski to drink beer in their garden

After my friend and I sat down, it was easily 10 minutes before anyone came to the table, then another 20 or so before we got our drinks. (No exaggerating.) They weren't even busy... I'm not sure what was going on, but for a mediocre Aperol spritzer, I can find a table in the shade elsewhere in the Seventh District. Granted, the food smelled and looked amazing, so I do plan to go back at some point and give them a second chance. The outdoor seating is nice, and the signs on their bathrooms are worth a second trip.. Each bathroom, women's and men's, has a picture of a different flower to indicate which room it is. It's a totally quirky, unique way to differentiate (and label) the restrooms, although children might have a hard time "getting it" - parental supervision advised!

I searched online and was so happy to discover this wonderful local restaurant. The food here is very fresh and delicious, and there are so many choices on the menu. They offer a great variety of hot pot ingredients, appetizers, drinks, and other dishes, so there is truly something for everyone. What impressed me the most was the amazing customer service. The owners are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. They make sure you eat well, enjoy your meal, and leave the restaurant with a full and happy stomach! This is a truly honest, sincere, and good-value restaurant that cares about both the quality of the food and the experience of its customers. The prices are very affordable, especially considering the freshness, quality, and variety of the menu. The restaurant itself is also very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made the whole dining experience even better. Finding this restaurant while traveling in Vienna made me feel a little closer to home. If you are looking for fresh Chinese food, great hot pot, affordable prices, and genuinely warm hospitality, I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back whenever I visit Vienna again!

Bamboo…read moreis probably a little bit above other Chinese buffets in Vienna in variety and the food is basically decent. Of course some things suffer from sitting out a little too long like my sweet & sour soup barely being luke-warm. I didn't find anything outstanding here but I did like that they served sushi and that there were pomegranates in the desert buffet. I also liked that they have a nice selection of sauces. Now what didn't I like about Bamboo. I didn't like the staff working here. They were just not friendly at all and they never once came to clear the used dishes from the table. Also there were no labels at all at the buffet. Sometimes I would like to know what I am selecting to eat. And finally a glass of water here costs 50 cents. Bamboo lies within my district and so there is always a chance for a return visit. But I am trying to think why I would do that!?!

We also ate from the dinner buffet. Their hot and sour soup, miso soup, sushi and shrimp tempura were excellent. Duck and chicken were also delicious. Sesame balls and various fruits for dessert were a plus. Their happy hour is a good deal between 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

They also have a few Thai choices on the lunch menu. I must admit, I haven't tried them yet. I'm usually in the classic Austrian Chinese mood when I come here. They have great prices and friendly service. It's a pity they leave the door to the smoking section wide open even if you point out how smoky the whole restaurant is. It's hard to breathe and you come out with smelly clothes. But, unfortunately, this is common in Austria where non-smokers' rights are consistently and systematically disrespected. It's a comment on the culture in general, not this one place.

Plus, a lot of the meat came in incredibly tiny pieces, so that in the end, there's not as much as expected in that pot. The cumin fried rice was also very good. Comes with A LOT of spices though, so it feels oversaturated. Still tastes very good, but it's just that the own flavour of the rice and meat are kinda lost. Similar thing with the lamb skewers: delicious, just a bit too much condiments. And here too, i've had better. Staff was fine, but could be a bit nicer. A simple smile goes a long way.

Food was good too--pretty authentic for Vienna. Service was a bit slow, but there was a lot of customers. This is clearly a popular place, and we were lucky to snag a table for the three of us outside without a reservation. We tried the following dishes: - Beef tripe (authentic version) - excellent! Tasted just like the real deal. Spicy, flavorful, and generous portions of meat. - Stir-fried fresh garlic sprouts with shredded pork - great, and I particularly enjoyed the refreshing crispiness of the garlic sprouts. - Stir-fried beef strips with green pepper - not the best green pepper beef dish I've had, but okay enough. The dish was a bit mushy for me. - Fried glass noodles with vegetables (side dish) - good light and simple dish. Larger portion than I'd expect for a side dish. - Martini extra dry - good drink with a nice amount of dryness (without being too dry). - Martini rossa - good but certainly has a sweet and bold flavor.

I enjoyed my lunch at Sichuan, but the food was disappointing…read more The location is spectacular. It's a beautiful spot to eat, within a gorgeous walled garden at the edge of the Donaupark. I had the lunch special which costs 10 Euro including dessert. The starter was "spicy cucumber salad". It was fine. The main was stir-fried duck with vegetables & steamed rice. The duck had extremely overcooked; it had already been cooked before it was stir-fried and recooked. Since it had been cooked so many times and for so long, it had a tough, dry, unpleasant texture, which is unfortunate, since duck in Chinese cuisine is typically juicy & succulent. The rest of the dish (vegetables) were fine, but there wasn't much flavour. Thankfully, they provided soy sauce & chili sauce that I could use to season the food. The dessert was deep-fried banana. Lychee juice was fine (3.60 Euro) Service was good. I'd be fine with trying Sichuan again, since it's possible that the dish with the recooked duck was just particularly bad... although I don't like that they served re-cooked duck meat without letting customers know that's what we're ordering.
