Price-wise, they are on par with their Acland Street brethren... but here lay my problem: they don't take American Express, and also (without warning, unsolicited and unadvertised) charge a fee to use credit cards in general.
This fact is why I have to call my bank. When I disputed this with the waiter, I was told it was "store policy". Further discussion and come to find out, the only mention is a little 10cm sign up the back of the restaurant... in a place that no customer actually ever needs to go - not even walked past if you need to go to the loo! Opportunities given to fix this 'oversight' at two occasions upon presentation of two different cards proved fruitless.
Will not be returning... and the bank can deal with them. read more
