Great service and excellent work. We were planning to leave for a week-long road trip right after Christmas. We would be in the Eastern Sierra and Death Valley with plenty of driving on rough dirt roads. Two days before Christmas, I noticed the wear on our tires and knew that we needed four new tires before we could leave. Shame on me for not checking more regularly. I called a bunch of shops and explained the situation - nobody was very helpful. We have a Subaru Outback that is tough to fit for a quality A/T tire. I finally contacted Quality Wheel and the owner took the time to do some research for me and find a set of tires that would be good, solid replacements. He ordered them up on Christmas Eve and had them at his shop the day after Christmas, just in time for us to leave on our trip. While installing the tires, they found that the front brake pads were down to 10% - not good with a 1,200 mile family road trip starting the next day. With an extra 45 minutes, they were able to do the brakes and get me out the door. The tires and brakes worked great, through snow and many miles of washboard dirt road. This is a great shop and I definitely recommend it. read more

My car is an all-wheel drive Subaru and requires aligning all four wheels. We set an appointment for the next day, I showed up and he got to work on my car right on time, starting and finishing with test drives. Follow up: I went back today with another vehicle I use for road trips and a little off roading. I knew I had bent one of my tie rods and I attempted to bend it back myself and do a DIY toe alignment. I took it to Quality Wheel and Brake today for a proper alignment since I'm going on a big road trip in a few days. Francisco put it up on the machine and let the computer do some calculations. Turns out my fix was spot on, but there were some other issues that were causing undesirable driving characteristics. Francisco said that it was as good as it was going to get and anything he did could make things worse. He knows I work on my own cars, so he suggested I install a few things (caster correcting plates and adjustable control arms) to make things more adjustable and to bring it back when it was ready for a alignment. Francisco sent me on my way, no charge. Unlike big chains who would have called it good to go and wouldn't have done a thing and charged full price; to then let me get back into my car or truck and it feel exactly the same or even worse, saying that it needs this and that. They should have been able to tell before wrenching on things that they couldn't make a difference. And that's what sets Francisco apart from the rest. He actually thinks about how a particular adjustment will effect another and uses his high tech computer and his own brain to AID him in his adjustments. I'll drive all the was from SF to SR again to have Francisco do my alignment when I'm ready. read more

Went here to get aftermarket suspension installed along with an alignment. Pros: They did the alignment properly and the truck drives straight as an arrow now, no apparent camber abnormalities exist anymore. Leaf springs were installed properly. Cons: Price paid was greater than price quoted, owner neglected to remind me of the missing lug nut on one of my wheels, shocks were not installed properly, the accompanying u-bolt flip kit was not installed. The shocks came with remote piggyback style reservoirs and those were installed facing the axle, whenever I would hit a bump or put a load in the truck the springs would compress and the reservoir would be hit by the axle. I spent an additional 100 dollars having that fixed elsewhere. Conclusion: If you need a wheel alignment this place is decent. If you want to install any aftermarket suspension look elsewhere. I will not return here nor recommend the place to any friends and family. read more

I had all my 4 tires done at Quality. All old tires taken out and 4 new ones put in. While putting the new tires in, the owner found a leak on the front wheel axle. He told me about it and asked that if i wanted it done, he could call and get the part there in less than half an hour. I agreed and both the 4 tires and the axle were done within the hour. All this while waiting. With all this service, the price did not break the bank. His work was guaranteed with the added benefit of coming back and having the wheel rotated every 5000 miles for free. To start out, Francisco seems like a really great, down to Earth guy. But after experiencing poor "quality" work with him i changed my mind. He took a week longer than expected to receive the correct parts for my car (total of 3 parts). Called me and said i could pick it up the next day and everything was perfect and aligned and sound. Went the next day and the wheels visually looked out-of-line like they had before and now i drive out and the first stop sign i came to, my front left wheel made a horrible squeak and grinding noise, quickly turned it around and Francisco had one of his workers do something with the brake pad which did nothing. Now 2K down the drain and my car is still messed up, even worse actually. And what makes it worse was him promising me he knew my car's issue but handed my car back completely effed up. Francisco is probably one of the most honest, straightforward people I've ever met. In terms of folks who sill work on your automobile that, in itself, says a lot!
