Terrible experience. BEWARE…read moreMy dad took his truck in for an oil change only and when he went to pick it up, the guy had the audacity to tell him his tired were Alamo bald and the battery was near dead My dad went into his truck and pulled out an invoice from costco tire department a week ago and k formed the mechanic that he was full of sh*t and trying to scam him. My dad's tires and battery were less than a week old... The mechanic took off and wouldn't give my dad any type of any or reply. Do not take your vehicle here

Have been taking my car in to Steve for nearly 20 years and their service and care have been…read moreabsolutely great. They always explain what needs to be done, give me an estimate, and sometimes even come in below estimate. They have never done any extra work without checking with me, or tried to upsell me on anything that's not needed; on the contrary, they have gone out of their way to help me save money while still making sure my car is safe and reliable. When I purchased my current (older) car in order to have AWD, their pre-purchase inspection was spot-on. I knew what I was buying, what might need to be done, and am still driving that car fourteen years later, with no nasty surprises. It is still safe, reliable, and running like a dream, thanks to Steve and his crew. Of course, I make sure to take it in twice a year for servicing, which I am sure helps! Totally recommend Steve's to anyone looking for honest, careful workmanship.

I'd be very cautious bringing a vehicle here. My dad owned his truck for over 20 years and took…read moregreat care of it. After retiring and just after finishing chemotherapy and radiation due to cancer, he wanted to start getting back to his normal life, so he brought it to this shop. They told him it was "unfixable" and unsafe to be on the hoist and had him sign paperwork indicating it would be scrapped. Not long after, my dad saw that same truck driving on the road with one of their employees. When I asked around, I was told an employee had purchased it for next to nothing and was trying to sell it--while bragging about the deal. Watching the disappointment on my dad's face was heartbreaking. If this company tells you your vehicle can't be fixed, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion. From what we experienced, it felt dishonest and like they were taking advantage of a senior's work truck--especially frustrating because they were recommended to us by a family friend. I'm leaving out a few details for now and will respond to their reply promptly.

My 1988 New Yorker developed a fuel leak at the fuel pressure regulator going into the far fuel…read morerail. (I am mechanically inclined but not a mechanic.) I explained what was going to the mechanic on the phone to which I was told we need to look at it, then give you a quote. When I arrived at the garage I opened the hood went into the office reception and asked the Mechanic desk person to come so I can show him what was wrong. The guy then saw the drip drip drip from the regulator and said yes I can see it. I left the vehicle and got a call 40 minutes later quoting me approx.$500 Which I felt was quite steep considering I found a regulator for $90, and I opted to not go ahead. upon picking the car up I was invoiced $40 for THE MECHANIC LOOKING AT THE ISSUE THAT I HAD ALREADY POINTED OUT. NO INVESTIGATION NECESSARY!! The invoice confirmed my statement - the fuel pressure regulator had to be changed. So I paid $40 dollars for nothing. Just another grab and go garage. Don't bother
