Jason pulled out the damaged part and spent some time trying to find a replacement part. He was finally able to locate a repair business in Austin that rebuilt the part plus a 2-year guarantee. Jason returned and replaced the refurbished part, and the oven works like new. As a new oven would cost several thousand dollars, I was pleased with the cost and the great service. They tend to show up late and do only some of what they are supposed to do (we have caught them not doing various checks and services several times). After one such service, my husband went in the attic to check what they had done and found that the reservoir tray under the unit was completely full of water... Something a good technician would have seen and addressed while there. To make matters worse, the techs get an attitude if you mention anything. Such a shame. It made me think of the situation where parents have been running a company for decades then have to retire and leave the biz to the kids who kind of... don't run it quite so well.

Even though my carpet was only a year old it needed some serious TLC. Two rooms in the home had much older carpeting while all the other rooms were a year old. When the owner arrived he instantly made the kids and I comfortable. He assessed the work with me and got straight to work. I was so comfortable with him the kids and I went and ran errands while he worked. He did pick on me saying that my new carpet did not look bad at all. (More on that later.)
