They're quick with their work and I've never had an issue with quality upon return.

Extremely disappointing experience. I was told to pay $633.26 upfront on December 30, 2025 to have…read morethe handles repaired on my vintage Louis Vuitton bag. They kept my bag for nine months. During that time, I received zero proactive communication. I had to call and visit the store more than five times for updates, and I was repeatedly told the bag was simply "waiting on rivets." I was given multiple timelines that were never followed through on. I was later told by another employee that the store had essentially been unsure what to do with my bag and that it had been sitting there. The initial repair also had to be redone, and after finally receiving my bag back, I noticed fraying on the newly repaired handles. Westin's lack of professional communication and follow-through throughout this process were particularly unprofessional. Calls were not returned, information was inconsistent, and I never felt that my concerns were being taken seriously. I have since emailed twice and submitted the company's contact form requesting a partial refund and still have not received a response. For $633.26, I expected significantly better workmanship, communication, and customer service.

I recommend them to everyone for boot repair, the Lucchese store sent me to them years ago. My BucketList includes a pair of Maida"s Bespoke boots. If you are unfamiliar with the term "Bespoke" here is the definition; Bespoke boots are custom-made footwear designed specifically for an individual, tailored to their unique measurements, preferences, and style. Unlike mass-produced boots, bespoke options offer a personalized fit and can incorporate specific materials, colors, and design elements chosen by the customer. This process typically involves consultations with a skilled cobbler or artisan, ensuring that the final product meets the wearer's exact specifications for comfort and aesthetics. This my friends is the Definition of the Maida's experience.

Unfortunately, life happened and I got to the shop after they closed when it was time to pick them up. I called the shop to see if there was anyway to grab my boots for my wedding the next day and sure enough Sal left his house to drive BACK to the shop to get me what I needed. Not only did he stop his day to help me, my boots looked beautiful again. For Sal to drive over on rainy evening to get my boots for wedding meant so much for me. There is no other place that would treat their customers with this much respect and grace. I truly encourage you to come over to Maida's for all of your needs, because I know I will never go elsewhere.

About 2 weeks ago, I went into the Houston shoe Hospital on Shepherd to get one of my weightlifting…read moreshoes repaired. It took a week. Things seemed okay. I used them yesterday and they fell apart. I decided to go into the business to understand what happened, and things went downhill fast. The person at the front counter, name is D told me to grab the other shoe. I did. He looked at the other shoe and said "Oh, I did this one because it has glue" (in a completely different area than what I had originally brought in) I asked if he knew which side he did- right or left. He said he didn't because it was on the slip he originally did. I asked if he could locate that. He said it was his professional experience that told him he didn't need to check. I advised that I would feel better if he could verify what shoe was worked on. Apparently, this was my first mistake. He told me that he basically did not want to call the administrator to do it, that it would take a really long time and that it would be making someone do a lot of work for "no reason". But it matters. It matters A LOT whether it was my left shoe, or my right. If this was the shoe he worked on, then I should get a refund. If this was not the shoe he worked on, then I should pay to get this done. Throughout this interaction, D became more and more rude. I addressed this and told him I did not like the way he was speaking to me. He simply responded "I can't help it if you don't like me" Sir, I mentioned nothing about liking or disliking you. I am saying I do not like the way I am being spoken to. Liking you has nothing to do with it. He then said "I do good work". I believe you. Again, this is not personal, but he made this incredibly personal for no reason. After A LOT of back and forth, it turns out he felt like I was questioning his judgement and he was being rude because he didn't appreciate that. He said had I just taken his word, he "may" have offered a discount to fix my other shoe. Here is the long and short of it all- it's not okay to treat someone poorly because they want clarification on work that was done and paid for. I actually hope he is right and this wasn't shotty work. But the way I was treated today? I'll go to literally any other shoe hospital than work with that guy again.
