This is a single company that provides the materials and does the installation. All of the big stores use contractors and take no responsibility for their work or even the delivery of the product. The sales people were flexible and able to accomodate my request to supply the roofing material (which I had purchased for a shed that wasn't delivered a month after the scheduled date). The crew showed up when they said they would and consulted with me several times to make sure that I was happy with the placement. Two words - Locked Gate. We phoned Quality Shed (QS) on Saturday to confirm operating hours for following Monday. We live in San Diego so it's over a 1-hour drive from home to QS Menifee "showroom". We wanted to ensure location would be open. It's a good thing we phoned in advance as posted hours on Yelp are incorrect. Actual weekday opening time is 10am instead of 9am posted on Yelp. We arrived 10:15am Monday morning to find entrance gate locked. Wife phoned listed number which connected to voice mail. Wife left voice mail with our contact information and requested return call when "showroom" was open. We then drove to nearby restaurant to await phone call. After waiting more than an hour without contact we decided to drive to Tuff Shed (separate stellar review) in Murrieta. Before departing restaurant wife phoned QS one last time, and phone was answered. Wife asked if "showroom" was open, and a gruff response was yes. So, we returned to QS. Steeping into reception shed we noted two employees. Male employee was on the phone. Wife & I stepped to desk of female employee and asked why gate was locked at opening hour. Response, "We had stuff to do so we opened late". Honest response which displayed total disregard for customer service. We then proceeded to ask our list of technical questions. Employee answered each question but never helped. Employee never stood, never introduced herself or provided card. Employee never offered to walk with us to specific sheds. Seated at her desk she would point towards a shed located outside in a general direction. We left reception shed and began to explore QS "showroom". Quote marks have been added as word "showroom" is improperly assigned. There isn't an enclosed room with sheds. There is an unlevel, unpaved dirt lot with ruts and trip hazards between haphazardly placed sheds. Some sheds don't have any identification. You step inside and don't know size, style, or details. We did note QS sheds are built upon wooden base instead of desired metal base. In short, visit to Quality Shed "showroom" was a total waste of time. There was a bright outcome. While locked out of QS during morning opening hour, we researched alternative shed manufacturers. We discovered Tuff Shed nearby in Murrieta. At Tuff Shed we were professionally greeted by Bradley who introduced us to their superior sheds. FANTASTIC WORKMANSHIP & FAIR PRICE TOO! We had Quality Sheds build an 8' X 12" lean-to style shed for us. We upgraded to a taller version, and added a skylight, roof vent and some shelving too. The two-man crew showed up right on time at 8:00am and the hit the ground running. They worked very well as a team and custom built our shed from the ground up in a single day. Once completed, they even swept the sawdust out :) What REALLY impresses me is that its hand built, from scratch using quality materials - its built solid like a mini house. When comparing the size of the timbers used to the "kits" available from Lowes and Home Depot, it is immediately evident that the kits use much smaller dimensional lumber. Ours has a solid 1" floor, set on pressure treated 4X6 timbers... the walls are 2x4 and the roof trusses are 2x6. Roof is covered with 1/2" OSB board, then felt paper, then asphalt shingles... the same construction as a typical home In the end, we have a terrific shed that cost us less than one years worth of storage locker rent for the same amount of space. Jack and his designer helped me design and build a large shop and a small barn. They also worked with me to get drawings approved by the city. They are great people including the builders. Good work and fast. This was a few years ago now and I am very happy with buildings. Recently I had an issue with water damage. It had been several years but called Jack. Hello, I have used Quality Sheds twice before and they did a very good job. One project was a stand alone 3 car job and the other an extension to our house. So I used them again to build a casita. Bottom line is it was too much of a project for them. The contract we have said completion 60 days after plan approval. That was about 11 months ago. They say they are upside down on the project, so I guess that means little or no priority. Next step involves lawyers. Be careful!! read more

The sales staff were friendly at the office and helpful. I have sensitivites to formadahyde and some other building materials, so they were accomadating by allowing me to supply some of the materials. They took a few bucks off the price, so I could provide my own roof and floor sheeting. Also, they took a few bucks off the shingles, so I could purchase ones elsewhere to match my house. I upgraded the vapor barrier and snow load capacity. The 2 builders showed up on schedule and knocked out the lien-to style shed in 5-6 hours to spec 10 x 12' with 8 to 10' ceilings, 1 residential door and a 3 x 4 dual paned window. They were polite and asked further details on the build. They cleaned up after the build and took all waste. My only complaint was that the header for the window was framed improperly and not all the ceiling joists were nailed into from the roof. 2 of the ceiling joists only had been nailed into at the ends and were free from any nail elsewhere. read more
