The meals are substandard, the staff changes rapidly due to the fact that they are not qualified and seek better employment, the whole feel of the place is depressing. They spend a lot of money on image, but let the place fall apart. It is often voted best facility in Woodland because the administrators con every inmate to vote positive. When my mom decided that she needed to move into such a facility as this she choose The Califonian. At the time we did no comparing because she had made up her mind that that was the best. The units have no kitchen facilities except a sink. The first summer her unit reached a consistant 93 degrees regardless of having the cooling switch on. (We found out later the switch was not hooked up to anything. The administrators controlled the system) We eventually bought her a portable A/C rather than have her live so miserably. The frame of mind of these folks is don't complain, because there is so much you have to dend on them for. Any way there are to many things to mention than I can fit in this review. After her living there a year we had such a true sense of how horrible tbe place was we started looking around for a better facility. She is now in a place that is professionally run, has truely capable people working there, the cafeteria is more like a restaurant, the mood is amazing, and on top of that it is less expensive. All I can say is check around before you put your loved one in this hell hole. I can testify there are much better facilities for the same or less expenditure.

He quickly understood how easily my body reacts & was careful not to stir things up, while at the same time presenting ways to strengthen it. He has shown me, often in little ways, things to do to ease pain, that no one had told me about before...that have helped! He also suggested a home-help product I didn't think I needed (but turns out I do), that will help me shower more safely. I have been so impressed w/ everyone from Blossom Ridge. Today I wanted to focus on Cody as he's completed his part in my care. Thanks Cody!

He was tasked to find a assisted care facility with specific environments. His choices were all on the money but unfortunately my mom kept coming up with more requirements. If it were me, I would have selected any one of the ones he suggested. He was toughtful and caring of what I wanted for my mom. However, she was steered to another facility in Fremont that filled all of her specifications and then some (primarily an Asian community). She sadly passed in April 2019.

We were on a search for a Residential Care facility for dad. Check the neighbors around the facility, keeping a lookout. There is a park nearby, Laural Creek Park and about a mile or so is Walmart, Walgreens,Smart n Final, I80, Raley's, Roundtable, and Churches. So, it was recommended that after the care is finished at the Fairfield Post Acute Rehab graduating to a board and care (Residential Care) where care is still needed for healing, so we took a deep breath and headed on a journey to find a place. Is it permanent or temporary for us? We do not know at this time, but knowing Arnel is close by sure helps. We met Arnel. Arnel was recommended to us by my neighbor, so we spoke with Arnel and met him at one of his Care Facilities. What a humble, smart, professional, and compassionate man, he is. We toured this home and we were pleased. The house on the outside is very well kept, inside the home is beautiful, clean, and organized. The family takes pride in their homes. The residents were smiling as they were doing their own activities, one lady sitting in a chair in her room reading a book, glances up to greets us as we pass by her room. Arnel and his mother are a delight. Arnel took us to his other facility to peek at as he waits for the paperwork to be stamped. Oh my goodness, it is beautiful! This is a well cared for home. All ready for new residents to occupy the rooms. The backyard is large and cemented with plenty of sunshine. Beautifully decorated inside. If you are looking for a safe and comfortable place for your family member temporary or permanent, seriously consider looking here.
