Caden did our initial inspection and gave us all the information, truth, knowledge and professionalism an informed and caring Manager could offer. We were truly excited about what was to come! On the day of the installation, 23 Jul 26, we met Jorge the On-Site Manager and his Team, from the moment we shook hands and received the information of what was to be expected, including sending us drone photos of the process and progress, as well as, drone video's, we were truly pleased. The first team member arrived around 0530 that morning and then the rest of the crew, including one awesome woman, were there soon after, everyone was very friendly and straight to the point of preparing for the installation by protecting our home and property. The Team were extremely professional, caring, efficient and knowledgeable. Everyone worked with consistency and on a mission, we still can't believe the roof was stripped and reinstalled in a day. The flashing, gutters and putting a few stones back in place were scheduled to be done the next day by another part of the Team, who arrived early this morning and began their process. Jorge and his "Amazing and Awesome" Team were the Dream Team, they were very meticulous, methodical, full of integrity and just a wonderful group of professionals, who also cleaned up everything after they were done, as well as, put things back in their place if they had to move them. We collaborated and I find they made honest and excellent recommendations for installing new fans, remodeling shower, color schemes; made thorough repairs, fixed plumbing issue, made necessary rewiring, removed problematic trees- overall just went above and beyond to make sure the house feels anew again. They are very knowledgeable and capable when it comes to their craft. Their quote was also very competitive and worked hard to stay within budget. My leaking ceiling was a pressing matter knowing that I was going out of town in few days and that an abundance of storms would be happening while I was away. Christian arrived within 24 hours for a complimentary thorough inspection of both the interior and exterior of our home (including the insulation crawlspace). He then provided a full description of the issue with photos and diagrams that helped me truly understand my options for repairs. We discussed my timeline, and Christian said he could be here the next morning so that I didn't have to worry about my leaky ceiling while out of town. Christian was punctual, worked efficiently while providing before-and-after photos, and encouraged follow up communication as needed. I had numerous communication issues--calls and emails were unacknowledged. The reality is that we could not agree on the next steps on the current job of cutting a 1in by 6ft section and staining aboard. Modern Handymen wanted to charge me a minimum of $625 dollars for this job. I believe this is exceptionally high. So, what happened is that I needed up being charged $125 or more for three visits. The 2nd visit included recommendations to completely change our whole arrangement. All they did was remove three screws and left me hanging. We tried to work out this new arrangement, and communications were ignored. Then an unauthorized visit by the "master" carpenter occurred. not "rip me off." I clearly disagree they are definitely trying to do just that. I believe this business harassed, is untrustworthy, and is unethical.
