We tried Tutoring Club for our son, thinking it might be a lower cost alternative to Elite Prep. We prepaid $5,600 in tutoring fees in Sept, based on a promise written in our contract that they would refund if we didn't like it. My son felt the quality of instruction was rudimentary compared to Elite Prep, so we cancelled almost immediately. The owner acknowledged that we were due a refund at the time. It is now Jan, 4 months later, and they still have not processed the promised refund. Maybe they are a struggling business and just don't have the funds. Or maybe they are so disorganized they can't get their act together. Or maybe they engage in deceitful business practices.
