Did you know that a lot of the expensive, more well known system manufacturers have their own generic/off brand units with the same internal parts but different grade outer housings? I didn't. Good stuff. He even took the time to explain how our system worked and what likely happened. Later that same day I was presented a quote that contained 3 different units with an assortment of SEER ratings and prices. Here's the part where you can boo me... I didn't end up going with his company, even though they have an awesome reputation for professionalism and great service. It was simply a product choice and I went with a Carrier brand system. There were…read moredefinite issues, but they told us that the toilet had leaked and the subfloor below the 2 bathrooms was rotten and needed replacing. that meant the bathrooms would need to be redone as well. they brought in a recommended contractor to give us quotes. it was going to be about 20K. I brought in another contractor for quotes. Turned out it was all a lie! no rotten floor. Big scam. then at my personal residence where I had my crawl space checked annually by GSM I learned the filter in the dehumidifier hadn't been changed in 4 years, I had paid for every year. I don't know if they did any of the monitoring they were supposed to be doing. I had no real apology, no offer of return of my money i had spent all those years for inspections. I will be seeking a new provider.

The project was completed about 4 years ago and was never corrected to my satisfaction. The gutters would never drain correctly leaving standing water which eventually started to leak in unsealed corners decaying the soffit wood which had been replaced prior to this project. There were also a multitude of excessive screws used to attach the gutters to the soffit which were also not sealed and became problem areas leaking into the exposed soffit wood which now needs replacing. Both of these projects will have to be revisited at my expense due to the lack of quality control by the P & P representatives.
