DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! This Quality Inn has no quality. It is old and needs renovation. Stayed only 2 nights as it was so nasty. The shower needed cleaning as soon as we got there. It had been raining so the carpeting was damp. The room keys work sometimes! We went out for the day and when we came back the bed had not been made and they didn't leave any clean towels or washcloths. We had to call the front desk and she brought 2 bath towels. No clean washcloths so my husband walked over in the rain to get them. Received 2 hand towels and 1 washcloth. He was told that was all they had. Our reservation was for 2 more nights, but we cancelled. read more

12/27/19 I was very happy with my stay here. Emily at the front desk checked me in. She made sure I would have a room on the ground floor just as I requested. She was super sweet, patient, and answered all my questions. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable king size bed, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and LG flatscreen TV. Parking, Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included with hotel stay. My room was quiet and comfortable and I had a good rest before continuing my road trip. read more

Quality Inn Scottsboro has slowly improved over the past couple of years. Every time I stay, I noticed improvements. The staff is kind and try to accommodate their guests needs, even an occasional random one, and they always have a smile. The buildings are older and in need of minor repairs here and there, but the room was clean and everything worked. The breakfast was good and they put out a nice selection of foods. Only complaint I have is the coffee, I don't like coffee from a machine, but fresh brewed, other than that, I highly recommend staying here whenever you're in Scottsboro. read more

Very impressed with this Quality Inn location. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. The rooms have recently been remodeled and are in excellent condition. The breakfast, while not huate cuisine, is sufficient to start the morning, and served in a clean dining area. There is a nice looking pool but I visited in the off season and it wasn't open. Most importantly, the property is well-lighted, sufficiently staffed, and I felt safe during my stay there! read more

We came into Scottsboro on a whim. Called Quality Inn and they had a room. When we arrived, we were greeted by Carolyn who couldn't have been nicer. She was helpful and accommodating, and gave caring service and information. Usually, people at a hotel desk are helpful and friendly; Carolyn went beyond this and made you truly feel like a welcome guest. The room was comfortable with a microwave and a fridge. Had breakfast the next morning and met an equally lovely person who was serving the breakfast. Also very warm and helpful. We stayed in approximately 9 hotel/motels on this recent road trip; no one met the level of care and concern that this motel gave. Wholeheartedly recommend it for travelers in the area. Ok let me first say that I don't generally review hotels based on guest behavior; however this is my exception. We stayed for one night and I felt like it was a revolving door of weird behavior from the guests around us. Cars pulling in and out all night, people walking around all night above us, cars revving their engines at 1am-2am. Unfortunately, the back area (although well lit!) really lends itself to shady things. Overall, it felt very unsafe! I sat by the door the whole night because I was scared for my kiddo's safety. The hotel itself was just ok. They're clearly trying to improve on the outdated rooms, but our room just seemed unfinished. There wasn't a light fixture cover in the bathroom. It smelled musty and old. The beds are doubles, not queens (but I believe they advertised that honestly). All of that aside, I would rate it a 5 for customer service. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond to help us get settled. Very kind and helpful. Just a scary set of hotel guests paired with an average room and great customer service. read more

This is a nice little spot tucked away on a side road but close to the interstate and 10minutes or less from anything around town. The room was very clean just enough room for 2 people. We went with the king size for $65 a night, good deal. They have a swimming pool, fitness room, full breakfast in the morning and a little lobby area to relax and read the paper with some coffee in the morning or evening. Compared to the other Inns around town this one is 1 of the top IMO. read more

Whoever owns this hotel obviously wants to have a nice place for folks to stay. Usually I don't care to stay at the old hotels where you enter your room from the parking lot. But they have made some major renovations, and everything is clean and fresh. The parking lot is well lit, and clean. I suffer from severe perfume allergies, and heavy cleaning smells make me sick. There are no detectable aromas here. My husband and I stay at this hotel every time we come to Scottsboro, and we are here often. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. read more

We stay there every year on Labor Day weekend for First Monday. There must be new management this year. The room was dirty. There were hairs in the bathroom on the toilet and in the floor. The room smelled bad and there were huge stains in the carpet and on the chair in the room. I never got a receipt, and I paid cash. There was never any hot breakfast left and we were in there by 8 am. Our past experiences have been very favorable. We will not be staying there again. Don't waste your money. You can stay cheaper at other hotels. read more

Definitely that place to stay if you are fishing the upper end of Lake Guntersville. Plenty of boat parking with electricity for charging your batteries. Everyone in group enjoyed our stay. The staff was very accommodating with Southern Hospitality. The free breakfast is great with many options to choose from. It's really nice for the area and offers an exception value! read more

I called ahead to get a room on the front and ground floor a this Quality inn. I was assured by the clerk the room would be mine. When we pulled up to to hotel there was police outside and people talking. We went in side and the clerk said when I asked if this was a safe place to stay. The clerk said yes there had not been any problems since he had worked there. So we decided to stay. This was in latter part of May. As we were waiting to check in another couple had a room. They came up ahead us and told the clerk there room was not clean and had to wait for a clean room. We were informed our room was not clean and would not be that day. We were put on a back room the had been cleaned but was smelly. While we wait to check in the ( I assumed ) hotel manager was on the phone talking to someone and cursing loudly about the problem with some people one coming to the hotel and causing trouble. I found this a very poor people skill person. We stayed for one night on a Sunday night Labor Day week end. I have used quality inn a few times before with great results, this by far the worst experience I have ever had. The next morning at breakfast this same cursing manager was chewing on staff in ear shot of the breakfast room. I understand that incidence will happen at a business however your managers need to be prepared to take care of these without disturbing guest. I have been involved in guest relations for almost 40 years and this was poorly handled. To leave things on a good note the clerk was very nervous nice and breakfast was good. This goes to show one bad apple can ruin the experience. read more

I was impressed with this hotel. The parking lot was the first thing I noticed and it is clean, with the pavement in very good condition, and well-lit at night. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The two employees I talked to at check-in were friendly, and the check in process was quick and efficient. Our room was very clean and modern. There's nothing dated or old about the room furnishings and fixtures. The bed linen and pillows appeared to be new. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave, which were handy to have, and the TV is a good-sized flat panel. My two kids used the pool and enjoyed it. Attentive employees at the free continental breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and we would stay there again. read more
