Uh, it was OK, it reminded me a bit of military dorms for some reason. Not that that's a bad thing, but that's what popped in my mind.

Where to begin. This is the most expensive of the 7 IHG hotels in a 30 mile radius. Holiday Inn may…read morenot be their flagship brand, but it's in the top 3. The price is a full standard deviation higher than the other sister brands. It ain't worth the money. It's KITTANNING for crying out loud! A $115 a night hotel should be palatial. Say what you want about masks, if it is company policy to wear them, compliance becomes part of the brand. Signs all over the place requiring masks. Front desk staff are not wearing masks. Hey management, grow a pair and either enforce your policy or tear down the signs. They still charge full price during the pandemic, yet NO HOUSEKEEPING and no hot breakfast. Not even sure if they had more than 3 total employees on duty. Obviously IHG or the franchisee has figured out how to print money during the pandemic. Although there are promises of cleanliness throughout the hotel, the facts prove otherwise. The cutest little sleeve was on the TV remote, yet it felt so greasy I had to wipe it off with a towel. In the refrigerator was the half consumed remains of food fof some previous guest. Insects in the shower seemed to be having a good time. When such a great disparity between the corporate brand promise and guest experience occurs, it damages the the brand. In this market, IHG could dominate, but not like this. The staff was friendly and while there is always room for improvement, I had no complaints with the way they handled my stay. Business is a reflection of Management. My review says it all.

It's in a fairly quiet location right near a Walmart and some fast food. The hotel itself seemed clean and the girl at the front desk was nice. The rooms are standard for hotels. It was clean enough and the bed was comfortable. Biggest issue with this location is the price. Kittanning is nowhere near anything remotely fun to do and is a good 40 minutes to Pittsburgh. I'm not sure why this place is priced so high. The only reason I can see anyone staying here is if they are visiting family in the town or if they are traveling through and are just exhausted. Okay, but not great, especially for the price.

Loved having the Starbucks in the lobby. Accommodating staff when my aunt had an issue with her door upon arrival (the battery was dying on the lock) so they had to switch her room but it was important we had a room next to one another and I had called ahead months earlier to make that happen. The staff worked with us to get her a room across the hall. This was on Friday night and they said the maintenance guy wouldn't be in until Sunday and couldn't fix it until then. Only complaint would be the pool. My daughter was so excited to go swimming but the pool was cold!!! Hot tub was bath water temp (bad for a hot tub, good for us) so we just hung out in there. We went to use the pool again at 8:30pm on a Saturday night and we could physically see the chlorine being shot into the pool. It was burning all of our eyes so badly! We also didn't want to be swimming with all the chlorine being injected in the water so she didn't get to go swimming :( Why not wait to do that another few hours when the pool closes? And turn up the temp of your pool so we can actually use it! We would use the hotel again to meet them for a weekend in the future, if the pool was fixed.

I was Very pleased with my choice, The Heritage House Suites! It was affordable for one night, close and very charming. The Master's Suite: 15 foot ceilings, large windows that had shutters for privacy ( which I Loved personally), beautiful hardwood floors, large square deep bath/shower, full kitchen with microwave, fridge, oven stove, coffee maker, dishes & silverware, two extra large wine glasses for the wine I brought along. The suite was quiet and very cozy. They offer free wifi, and free parking. They have a Beautiful wraparound porch to sit on during the afternoon or early evening but we didn't get a chance to enjoy, will the next visit !! We will definitely stay again as well as Highly recommend to family and friends... The only think I would suggest to management would be more of a cable or TV package, viewing was limited and nothing to watch. They offer a DVD player to watch a movie but we didn't bring any and the suites didn't offer any collection. ( bring your own movies ) Tracey was Wonderful !! Thank you for your help and patience on our arrival

I had the pleasure of staying two nights at Heritage House Inn and Suites, and I do mean…read more"pleasure." Sure, I could have stayed at a cookie-cutter chain hotel in this university town, but for just a few dollars more, I rented the Master's Suite, literally half of the second floor of this beautiful Victorian mansion, which came equipped with a huge sitting room, a full (private) bath, and a complete kitchen. The kitchen was the selling point for me when booking the room, since I'm on a strict diet and need to be able to cook fresh food (rather than rely on fast-food and takeout). To be clear, this is NOT a bed and breakfast. There are no common areas in the house, and the innkeepers do not provide meals. It's really more of a furnished rental, available for short and long-term stays in Indiana. Pros: Comfortable bed and sitting room furniture, full kitchen, WiFi, cable TV service, full bath, complimentary bottled water and snack basket, off-street parking, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Plus the staff is very friendly and helpful and their pre-arrival communications (confirmation emails) are excellent. Cons: Neither of these should reflect poorly on the innkeepers or Heritage House. But I have to mention them: 1. Noise. Bring your earplugs (I always travel with mine) because 6th Street is apparently a major artery and every pickup truck with a bad muffler in Indiana County must drive past the house between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. 2. Street construction. Indiana is tearing up a bunch of streets, including School Street, which requires the roads crew to barricade the street to any motor traffic. Unfortunately, Heritage House's private parking lot is accessed via School Street, so it's impossible to get to the Inn between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays. According to Becki (who clued me to the secret of taking the alley halfway down School Street to escape the lot during the day), this construction has been going on for months, so be aware you may need to delay your arrival until after 5 or sundown, whichever comes firts. Bottom-line, this was a wonderful stay and I would heartily recommend Heritage House Inn and Suites to anyone looking for a comfortable, private alternative to the Comfort Inn.
