If I could give this place negative stars, I would drag the rating down myself. This was not just…read morethe worst hotel I've ever stayed in--it was a full-blown nightmare disguised as a place of rest. From the moment I walked in, it felt like stepping onto the set of a low-budget horror film where sanitation and human dignity were long forgotten. There were roaches. Not one. Multiple. Crawling like they paid rent. And based on the bites and what I saw, I would not be surprised if there were bedbugs too. The sheets and blankets were stained, filthy, and full of holes, as if they had survived decades without ever seeing a washing machine. The bed frame itself was swollen and waterlogged, like it had absorbed years of neglect and despair. Instead of actual furniture, there were lawn chairs in the room. Lawn chairs. No shampoo. No conditioner. No body wash. No basic amenities of any kind. Just emptiness and neglect. It felt less like a hotel and more like a place people end up when they have nowhere else to go and no other options. The staff was shockingly rude and completely indifferent, as if this level of filth and decay was normal. And the deception is unbelievable--the website makes this place look clean, safe, and welcoming. In reality, it is the exact opposite. They even have a sign at the check-in window warning that you are not allowed to see the room before paying unless you commit to staying three nights, and they refuse refunds. That alone tells you everything. This place is not just dirty. It is revolting. It is neglected. It is deceptive. It honestly should be condemned. Save yourself the money, the stress, and the trauma. Do not stay here.

Alright, so I'm going to be brutally honest with this review. From start to finish. The stay here…read morewas very sketchy. From trying to find the address days later after making the reservation, to looking it up on any maps service/GPS; it's very hidden. The following link has reviews, from other visitors, that have already been made of the place. I had to dig around on the internet to find it. https://www.chamberofcommerce.com/business-directory/tennessee/paris/motel/2027484325-sunrise-inn There aren't any listings on Yelp of the place yet, until now. I reallyThere are very good reasons why. I will say that I've seen sketchy places. I've had friends and family stay in a few, but this place honestly has the award for most sketchy and very high in price for the little it has to offer. $165USD for 2 nights is ridiculous considering the following. For starters, you're greeted by a ring doorbell at the lobby that has you waiting in the cold or heat outside depending on the time of year. You have to wait for the person working to drive to the location to meet with you and unlock the door to let you in. I can't make this up. I've never seen this in my life. Then you pay and get your paperwork and keycards from the guy behind the window. Not bad. Painless at this point. Now you get to your room. From the outside you see a bunch of cameras that give you this sense of security. You open the door and the inside is whatever temperature it is on the outside. This is until you get the Air Conditioning running. You'd hope your room would have good insulation to keep the temperature you have set on the Air Conditioning, but no. Around the door has almost no seal. There was a massive draft of cold air coming from the windows and door. I'm glad I trusted my gut and brought my own small portable heater along. Crazy, I know. It gets even better (sarcasm). You're greeted with a foul odor of just funk. It doesn't smell like this place has had a proper cleaning in a long time. You go to turn on the light switch to get good lighting throughout the room while you inspect the rest of the room. The switches are gross and have grime on them. The floors are vinyl with wood nails holding them down. The pillows look sad and pathetic, the furniture next to the bed for sitting is outdoor plastic chairs. I'm not even joking. I wish I was. Then you look behind where the door was and there are leaves from trees outside there laying on the ground inside. Isn't this supposed to be a clean room? The walls have black dirt caked all throughout the room. The furniture for storing clothes is stained and has gaping holes in it. I don't feel comfortable putting anything in there. Only God knows what chewed its way to get in or out. Are you feeling great about this place yet? Let's continue. The hangars they provide for clothing and such have seen the light of better days. One of them was repaired with what looks like a twisty tie. The sink is cracked throughout and doesn't have hot water. The hairdryer has booger gunk all over it. The soaps provided are enough for maybe a singular wash of the essential body parts. You're not going to be lathering up very much. The water for the tub/shower takes 10 forever to finally get hot. The towels and wash rags are atrocious! Not to mention, I feel that the housekeeper who comes in the room when you're gone had taken it upon themselves to pick up the dirty towels we put on the ground and placed them on the counter and folded them as if they were freshly cleaned. They smelled musty and were wet. At this point I'm very concerned. There are bugs and roaches in the bathroom! The toilet literally rocks and can be pushed from one side to the other of the bathroom. The toilet paper isn't wrapped or new. It looks like someone used the rolls halfway down and left them behind. The door to the bathroom is horrendous. Here's the best example I can give you in writing. If you were to take a piece of whole wheat bread and screw hinges into it, I'd feel safer. The door flops like soggy cardboard. Did I mention the bugs we found in the room? That's a huge problem. I didn't even bother to look any further into finding things wrong with this place after seeing a hole in the roof by the exhaust vent. How is this place still allowed to be open? How has this beautiful city of Paris, Tennessee not condemned this establishment? It needs to have the health department and city code inspectors do a proper evaluation of this establishment's entirety.
