Where to even begin... I have stayed at some Quality Inn's that were very decent for the price. If I had paid half of what I paid for this room, it would have been double what I should have paid. There is only one reason that this room is getting one star and that is because I can't give it anything less. I prepaid this room online, which is the only reason that I did not immediately ask for a refund as it stated when that the room was non refundable. When I arrived, I went to the desk and asked when I would be able to check in as it was not quite 1500 yet. The lady stated, as she continued to sit in her char that was very low to the ground and it has a very high counter, that I could check in now. Awesome, I stated! She, still sitting, asked if I had a reservation. I said, yes ma'am and gave her my name. She then said without looking up, I don't have a reservation in that name, are you sure it isn't the hotel next door? I stated yes ma'am, let me go get the conformation number for you. I went out to the car and got the conformation number and brought it back in. I gave her the conformation number and she said oh, this is for tomorrow, not today. I stated that I would not be in town tomorrow. She just kind of shrugged her shoulders and looked back down at her phone or whatever she was looking at. I asked for the phone number of corporate and she gave it to me, without looking it up, that should have been my first clue.I went out to my car called corporate and they changed, or should I say, had her change the reservation. I walked into the room (a handicap room) and went to go get some ice in my cup. The ice machine was not working. They had me towards the back of the hotel and the ice machine was about midway towards the front. To someone that hasn't had a lung removed and mobility issues, that probably would not have been a big deal, for me it was huge. I go back to get my car because I couldn't walk up to the front and around the building to go to the office to ask about ice and there was no phone in the room to call the front desk. She informed me that there was one downstairs on the back of the building on the opposite side or I could just go upstairs. I suppose that because I weigh about 100 pounds soaking wet that she thinks I could climb the stairs without issue. After I got the ice, I returned to the room, only to notice that there was no mirror above the sink. I thought to myself, not big deal, I will flip the camera around on the iPad and use it as a "mirror". I had just driven a good distance and was tired, so I got my clothes to take a shower. They did have a shower chair which was the only good thing. I took my shower and went to try to relax and watch TV. The cable, if you can call it that, is very limited. I sat my drink on the bedside table (Of which they only have on with a king size bed) and noticed the time on the clock was incorrect so I picked up the clock to set the time. Then I noticed that the room had not been dusted. Okay, whatever I'll deal with it. Like I said, I was exhausted from a long drive. Next morning, I went to make coffee, no problem, I made the 1st cup drank it. I went to make a second cup and I am assuming a previous guest had used a pod and put it back in the wrapper. "Housekeeping" put the wrapper back on the tray with the unused pods to be used again, I suppose. In any case, I made two trips to this Quality Inn, my 1st and last. Just trying to save others they headache and money. Lesson learned. Never prepay.

Travel to NC for grandson birthday party, no dog with me

I have stayed in this hotel since 2002 after living in Morganton and moving back to Chattanooga. TN..I stay they often visiting family..May 18 - 20..stayed using rewards. I was billed $50.00 for not registering my pet. I had no pet. I have and investigation going on. I am a gold member and took groups of family to stay there throughout the years..I hope they fix this. Love the pool but I am horrified thus charge was made..I had no pet. I only slept and showered in the room as I was at my son's house the reason for my trip. Family.

A few pics I took of the situation I had to put up with,

If I could rate it a 0 stars I would. There was insects all in the room, it smells like smoke in a non smoking room, just horrible. The manager (supposedly) just brushed me off and didn't offer any sort compensation or apology. I left early as soon as I could and this hotel kept my money. I tried to contact choice hotel representatives were pretty much useless as they didn't help at all.

Two tone paint and the mirror does not fit over the old holes see bottom of picture

I normally do not leave reviews but this one is a must. Upon arriving the lobby was all remodeled breakfast area was nice .my room was not the best there was dust on the walls. The Security lock missing from the door touch up paint was the wrong color if that's what is was supposed to be.the tub was dirty even the sign in front of the hotel was torn. Booked through booking .com this is the place you would drive right by and go to the Hampton inn for double the money

    bedbug

I do not recommend staying here! BEDBUGS!!! They had new mattresses as if they just got rid of bedbugs, i found one as soon as i checked. The manager is an asshole, would not give a refund or anything and i didn't even stay 5 minutes and i have video proof! He said they had an exterminator come out and they "didnt find anything". Unprofessional and unacceptable .

BBQ running outside your room from the neighbors and rooms upstairs
    Patrick C.

Terrible place. Management allows people to run their BBQ right next to your room, not the person running the BBQ's room, filling your room with noxious fumes, in violation of the NC fire code, and then won't move you to another room by lying saying they have no rooms available eve though they show available rooms on their website for sale. Dangerous location with potential for carbon monoxide poisoning; don't put your life in danger staying here. The rest of the place is okay, room was clean but smelled strongly of febreeze or something like that, breakfast is pretty good for a motel, pool looked nice.

As…read morethe forecast grew more and more grim for that day, we had to make the decision to change venues three days before the wedding. I came across The Barn at Cornerstone and contacted Kim immediately. I was stressed and in full panic mode but as soon as I talked to her she began putting me at ease. She explained that although the Barn was not quite completed she would do anything in her power to help make this work. The day I visited her, the barn had no electricity. We talked through it and decided to rent a generator. The barn was still in progress but was already beautiful and rustic and I could envision something truly special there. Kim and her husband, Ray, worked tirelessly and two days later when we arrived to decorate and rehearse, the Barn not only had electricity but beautiful chandeliers were hung. We had a wonderful rehearsal dinner outdoors at the lodge that evening. The setting was gorgeous and the grounds were lovely. Ray continued working on the barn up until the afternoon of the wedding and Kim attended to every detail and also coordinated with my caterer. She took so much work and worry off my hands and allowed me to enjoy every moment. We ended up having the most beautiful, intimate wedding that evening. Rain fell heavy on the roof of the barn as they took their vows. It was absolutely magical. I know that once the barn is complete it will be one of the best venues around. There are beautiful venues everywhere but you will be hard pressed to find people like Kim and Ray. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

Their grapes are brought in from Northern NY. I gave it 4 stars because of free tastings and cheap cost of bottle.
