Old hotel First hotel smelled of cigarette smoke including room Very dated really needs a remodel But room was comfortable Door card lock on room worked poorly Keept needing several tries to open room Plenty of hot water for shower and great water pressure Quiet area slept well read more

Over many years I have stayed here many times. Today I found the restaurant and lounge doors locked. I was told that new owners closed it. There were always 2 bars of soap. One for the sink, one for the shower today. There was only one bar of soap. The channel I used to watch on TV is no longer available. Small things, yet perhaps foretell the direction of its new owners. I am disappointed, and will not be staying here again. read more

When traveling with the Joker and Jester Comedy Tour we always appreciate a quick and easy check-in. Spend most of the year living in hotels. The room was spacious super clean and well equipped. Location was super convenient. Recommend this to any traveler. read more

Clean, quiet & warm room. Was 8 degrees and had recently snowed so was thankful for a warm and safe place. Unfortunately the cook couldn't make it into work due to the weather- so the lounge and diner were closed for our visit. read more

Well this place reeks of smoke (let's stay there). It's filled with construction workers smoking outside the doors ....and it's on their clothes which means the hallways and bedrooms stink as well. It's old and in need of repairs. Stains on comforter on bed. Never again! read more

This place was awful. Non-Smoking room was clearly smoked in. The bathroom was so humid that everything was moist. The humidity made even the carpet moist and sticky. This place is basically a place where construction workers stay all the time. The only thing even remotely decent was the breakfast and the nice lady that served us breakfast. read more

Not as bad as earlier but still not great. One bed was a fold out spring the other was slightly better. read more

After a ling days drive, I wanted nothing more than to stop for the night to recharge. Seeing this place advertised at $66.00 per night, this seemed a bargin that was right off my scheduled route. The cost per night was almost double; but, I could only believe I received out dated information, and for a good nights sleep, that would price be worth it. The front desk clerk was friendly enough, once he finished his robotic sales pitch, which encouraged me join a rewards program I would likely not take advantage of, while having my email flooded with advertisements. But, enough of that, I was tired, already; so, up to my room, past a row of other guests, sitting on the curb, or leaning against the building, smoking cigarettes, I trudged. Opening the door, I was hit with a welcome blast of cold air, finding the A/C was set to meat locker temperature. The room itself was spacious, and plain, with a microwave and a mini fridge. All in all, comforatable; but, nothing special. My thought at the time was that I had experienced better for less; but, the bed was to my liking; so, again, I couldn't complain. The next morning, feeling refreshed, I took advantage of the free breakfast (which I'm certain was built into the cost) that was offered with my stay. On the plus side, this was a full breakfast, with your choice of three, traditional, breakfast items. This was a nice change from the usual toast your own bgagel and be on your way breakfast I've had elsewhere. I chose the scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh fruit, which the freindly waitress served within seven minutes of my order having been placed. On the minus side, the eggs had the consistency of and flavor of a sea sponge, the sausage was salted, compressed saw dust; and, the fresh fruit was, fresh fruit, and quite good. In summation, I left thinking that there had to be better values in the area, and that the "quality" at this inn would be more acurate if it were preceeded with "mediocre". read more

My kids and I were driving back from Virginia Beach to Illinois early Tuesday morning around 6 AM. We'd been on the road for hours and were completely exhausted--just looking for a place to rest for a few hours before continuing the long journey home. We called several hotels in the area, only to be told over and over that no early check-ins were available. It was discouraging, and we were running out of options. As a last try, we pulled into the Quality Inn. I didn't catch the name of the woman at the front desk--she appeared to be in her 50s with medium, curly blonde hair--but I will never forget how she made us feel. She listened to our situation with empathy, and without hesitation, she found us a room. No runaround, no hassle--just compassion and a willingness to help. In that moment, she wasn't just doing her job--she was extending kindness, and it made all the difference. She even suggested we enjoy the complimentary breakfast before heading up to rest, so we wouldn't miss it after sleeping. She guided us through the hotel layout and gave tips on where to get food later if we needed it. It may seem small, but in a moment when we felt tired and overlooked, her warmth and attention made us feel seen, safe, and cared for. It's rare these days to come across someone with such genuine heart and exceptional bedside manner--but she had it in abundance. We are so deeply grateful for her kindness and the way she welcomed us when nobody else would. From the bottom of our hearts--thank you. You turned a stressful moment into a peaceful one, and we'll always remember your generosity. read more

As I try not to burn a company down in a review and truly try to point out pros and cons to help future consumer, but c'mon people!!!!! You gotta give me a little something to work with! Pros: it was a place to lay our head while weary from travel. Cons: stand by, here it comes: -hallways smelled like a wet dog -the bar, which was supposed to be open, closed early. It was 830pm on a Saturday night. One fairly-tipsy patron who was jolly that he was the last customer (at least he had a drink) -vouchers for breakfast? Yup! Yet they couldn't provide breakfast in the morning. Why? No reason, just no one was here to provide the breakfast. It's obvious they are not even trying any longer. Just waiting for the desperately tired who care not where they spend their money. Advice: drive further and find another location. I can't stress this enough. Go somewhere that actually values their customers. Ps: their coffee is as horrific as the experience. Like warm water through a quarterbacks tube sock! Bleh! - read more

I am a travel contractor, I stayed at this location for the past 4 weeks. My wife and daughter came to visit and I requested a rollaway bed, delivered with no issues. After 3 days my daughter developed a rash on her face, her eyes swollen, her skin is still raw 4 days after leaving. I asked to speak with the manager, not trying to get anything free, just express my concerns and request they throw away the mattress. Called, emailed, no response, doctor determined it was contractual dermatitis. I wish I would have taken a picture of the mattress before I had them take it from the room. I have seen better mattresses in dumpsters. When folded the bottom side of the mattress was stained brown, I'm not saying little spots either, the majority of it was coated in filth and I regret not checking it before letting my child sleep on it. Before this event I had zero complaints, I've stayed in hundreds of hotels, motels, Airbnb. What bothers me the most is that I didn't get a response. We have several weeks left on our current job and myself and my coworkers that we're staying there are all finding other accommodations. read more

Still, one star experience. We were in room 109 this time. Yes, the bath fixtures are also rusty, and tarnished over. The caulking around the fixtures is discolored, cracked, and dried out. This place really needs to be spruced up. The cost was less expensive compared with the other hotels in the city. read more

Terrible. Dirty, run down and overpriced for the quality. Stayed there years ago and it was decent, if worn. Total mess now. The ceiling in the lobby was leaking, there were buckets placed to catch dripping water. Water leaked from the ceiling onto my wife when walking down the hall. Just disgusting. The only bright spot was the breakfast was decent and the waitress was kind. I'd recommend you stay basically anywhere else. Would sleep in my car before I would stay there again. read more

When I called to make a reservation, the man on the phone talked way to fast and muffled and was kinda rude. But when we got there, the receptionist was very nice. The rooms were damp and the blankets were very thin. The breakfast was good and the breakfast lady was very sweet and welcoming. read more

Where do I begin? Old? Ridiculously dated? How about the fact that I'm older and saw other older people who checked in as well were told the room was on the second floor but, oh, by the way we don't have an elevator. How about the fact that I'm in a no smoking room, directly next to a smoking room and then my place reeks of cigarettes? How bad is the smell? I had to drive to Walmart to buy a room freshener just to be able to spend the night here. Awful. Find another hotel. There are plenty right up the road read more

I wasn't expecting much because it was a Quality Inn but I was wrong. The hotel was a little dated but it was definitely clean and the staff was very friendly. We ate dinner in the dining room and it was delicious. If you like fried chicken you couldn't ask for a better dinner. Did I mention that it was delicious? Breakfast was served in the dining room and there were several options to choose from and the cost was included in the room charge. I would recommend this place and would not hesitate to stay here again. This stay was definitely a bargain. read more

Exceeded my expectations. I was traveling with my dog and my husband (who was at home) was trying to find a dog-friendly hotel. My last stay at a Quality Inn was terrible, so I was dubious. However, I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, they have an actual restaurant within the hotel. Like, a real, sit-down place for breakfast and lunch. I'm not sure if they do dinner. Because it was a sit-down place, and I was traveling with my dog, I expected to have to bring my food back to my room. The hostess said I wasn't allowed to do that. But she did seat me in a separate dining room and even held my dog's leash while I went to the buffet. read more

This place is very old, but seems clean. Needs paint and touch up work everywhere. The halls smell musty. The free WiFi sucks. If I could get it to work at all, it would only give me a 1 mb download speed. As poor as my cell signal is, I was still able to use it at 4K. read more

Clean. That is what is most important, right? The carpet has seen better days, but it is clean, too. Front desk clerk(Patsy) is great.

Older hotel on nice grounds lots of grass and a large pool with a 8 ft deep end. Could hear people talking in hall but overall quiet. Gas station convenience store only thing within walking distance. Hotel does have a restaurant, breakfast average. Great customer service would stay here again read more

Terrible experience. I slept in car after 3 complaints about the bed being so uncomfortable and they didn't change my room. I didn't want to wake kids to move hotels. Nice hotel! This is our second time staying here! We were going to the annual Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, West Virginia the following day & running in the 5K run early so this hotel was very handy to stay in since we live 3 hours away. Very basic hotel, we got a non smoking room with a king bed, the bed was very comfortable and huge! We should have asked for extra pillows but did not think about that until the next day to be honest. There was a large refrigerator, coffee maker in our room, both appeared to be new. Bathroom was spacious as well, we had a hair dryer too. Breakfast was included and it was one of the nicest breakfast layouts I have ever been too! It was in the on site restaurant and we had eggs, sausage, pancakes, biscuit and gravy and so much more! Nice gentleman at the front desk that checked us in, we enjoyed talking to him and he was very nice! Overall location of the hotel was kind of centrally located close to plenty of restaurants and stores such as Walmart and Big K. It was a 10 minute drive to Point Pleasant, not bad at all! I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again! read more
