If you haven't stayed there recently you're missing out! They have upgraded rooms, dining area, lobby, and indoor pool area. They have a hot tub and a slot machine room. I literally didn't think that this place could get any worse, then I found a loose PRESCRIPTION pill in our room. This place has been an absolute nightmare. 1. This hotel is advertised as being dog friendly (not dog friendly with limitations). Come to find out, the room we initially booked is on the second floor and dogs aren't allowed there. To add to it, the initial room we booked with a jacuzzi doesn't have a shower. 2. The hotel advertised a $25 per stay (not per pet) REFUNDABLE pet deposit. This hotel, on the other hand, charges $34.17 per night, non refundable? 3. The initial room we booked was about $110 a night and, after it not being "dog friendly", we were moved to a different room that had a rate of about $65 a night. We were told that we would get refunded for the difference. When my husband went to to talk to the manager, she said "we will waive the pet deposit and that will make up the difference. That's all we can do." Well, that didn't suffice with me. I went and talked to the woman and she said "no, we will refund the difference, but we are charging you for the pet fee for both nights". The owner, I assume, got involved and said "we will waive the pet fee for your first night, but we're charging you for the second" 4. This place is run down and the room and other common areas are just gross. I know that this is not a 5 star hotel, but holy cow.... There is a limit to what is "tolerable" for a pet friendly 2-star hotel and this place is not even close to meeting that mark. 5. At breakfast, the options all looked nasty. After everything else that I have encountered, I was not about to try the food and risk getting food poisoning. They left a bowl of shredded cheese on the counter next to the hot bar without any refrigeration or ice. It literally looked melty by 9am. Absolutely disgusting. Recently traveled to Farmington for business, the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn were booked up with the government rate and only had rooms for $350 (for a freaking HAMPTON INN and HOLIDAY INN) a night. So the only lodging available was this quality inn. Which, I don't often stay in motels if I can help it, and it's not from prejudice, but from bad experience. This was probably the most pleasant experience I've had at a motel in several years. That's not to say there weren't problems, the Internet connectivity left something to be desired, but I happen to travel with personal Wi-Fi so I didn't notice any disruption but you might if you wanna watch TV. It's also clearly mostly longer term housing, which is fine. Everyone has to live somewhere, but I was surprised to see so many people very comfortably established. That said my room was really clean and spacious and had a clean refrigerator and very clean microwave. The bed was clean, freshly made, and the bathroom even smelled like it had been clean recently. Also, the walls were thick and the blinds actually blocked out light. I didn't talk to most of the staff, and it was kind of difficult to book over the phone, but the woman who checked me in was extremely nice and knowledgeable about how to get around. You could do a lot worse for under $80. Also, it was literally six minutes from everything, so super convenient to run out. read more

On Nov 6th, 2024 my Mom, Step Dad, and I stayed the night at the Quality Inn Farmington in Farmington, MO. The bathroom was dirty. There was hair and scum on the shower curtain, tub was dirty, and the towels were grey even though they were supposed to be white. There was an ant problem. The ants were in the door way and in the entrance of the room and floor. The TV didn't work (the person working the office did fix it). The phone in the room didn't work. The one good thing I can say is that the beds were clean. The morning of check out I spoke with the manager. She said she would add a discount for all the problems and inconveniences. When I looked at my credit card statement I noticed an extra charge of $10 on it. I called to get it fixed and they refunded the $10 but never gave the a discount. I called back and informed the person at the front desk on what happened and she took my name and number and said the manager would call me back. I never received a call back and was never compensated for the ant infested, dirty bathroom, and inconveniences. I do not recommend this hotel. I gave one star because there isn't an option to give no stars. read more

Doris was the night manager when we checked in and she couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and attended to daily. I understand they have a new cleaning staff this year. The breakfast area was clean and stocked with fresh food. We had a long trailer and Doris directed us to park right up front when the rear spots were taken one evening. Very accommodating! read more

This place was very dirty. It had mold and the bed had hair on it where they had not changed the sheets. The towels even had hair on them. I asked for my money back. They offered me a new room but it was not any better it was worse the lights didn't even work in it. Infested with bed bugs. The headboards are nasty and greasy the rooms stink and the comforters are nasty like they have never been washed.

This was just a quick pit stop on my way home in Wisconsin from Houston. The guy working the front desk (3rd shift) was one of the friendlier front desk people I've dealt with at any hotel. The overall layout of the hotel is really awkward but that's not a huge fault, The TV Reception was better then the 4 star hotel i came from in Houston, the bed was more comfortable and the pillows were better. I'm NOT a fan of hotel breakfast ANYWHERE, EVER. but i gave it a shot as i didn't want to make another stop and i just wanted to get home, but the food was about what you would expect, fake processed scrambled eggs, reheated sausage links and DIY waffle station. The waffle's aren't half bad. the OJ was terrible though. overall for $50ish night stay it was cleaner,friendlier and more comfortable than i was expecting. read more

The manager was beyond helpful fixing an issue from the website that I made, apparently the website sets the date a week out instead of the next day like I thought. I should have checked that. He fixed it and I only had to pay 10 more. The room and hotel were clean. Ceilings needed some paint but bretty darn good for 60 a night. Comfortable and large king room. The issue that worries me is I locked myself out of my room and when I went down to get let back in, the guy on shift (not the manager) just coded me a key and sent me on my way. No Id or anything. That worries me. Other than that, was a good stay. I locked every lock in there that night though. read more

If I'm taking the time to review a hotel, things are bad... I need so little, personally. As it was, I ended up staying with business associates and two other hotels in the area - they were fine. This "Quality Inn" (was that a bad joke) was dirty, ill-designed and questionable. All staff I encountered were rude and unprofessional. If you don't want to have nightmares, I advise against this establishment. The "breakfast" appeared unsanitary. I didn't try it - I value my life. I can only imagine how it tasted... Owner charged me a cash deposit my 2nd day because I because I was not dressed in my business clothes and had a band t-shirt on. I would say it was my tattoos but his desk clerk had several little tattoos all around her neck and face. A strange, creepy guy, he watched me from the office window every time I left the room and I had the feeling I was being watched in the room as well. He and his cleaning lady/wife spoke Hindi and by the way they scoweled in my direction, I can only guess that they were insulting me. Mind you, I was nothing but polite with them and was only in the office to pay for a second night due to my wife wanting to visit her grandmother one more day.. They allow pets to stay for an additional fee of $20 per night which I paid and my dog is very well behaved but the owner just had to reiterate that if she chewed anything or "left puddles" then I would be paying for it. Upon entering the room, I could see why he didn't particularly care for dogs. Let's just say that the way she was sniffing, I did not need a black light to know that they did not wash those bed spreads. What else did they think I was going to take? The rotary phone? The television that was cozily padlocked with an alarm even though it was not functional? The scratchy towels? Unbelievable. The next morning, I went to collect my hundred dollar bill to find the owner yelling at someone on the phone that the water to the showers was too hot and that the pressure needed to be reduced so it sounds like future guests can look forward to an even less comfortable stay than I had. read more

Denied service to me with no reason. Hadn't even lived in the area for years but said it was for previous issues. Also asked who I could talk to in case of stolen identity and they told me to leave or they'd call the cops. Now I have to wait 5 days for a refund from Hotwire because their management is not answer supports phone calls. Great way to start my 1 year anniversary. My husband and I have been staying at this facility for the last several years now and the accommodations have always been pleasing. Our accommodations weren't pleasant this time around at all. When we got to our room, I noticed ants crawling around the table and chairs. Then seen some crawling on the night stand and in the bed. In the night while trying to sleep I had ants crawling on me in bed. Before showering this morning, ants were crawling along the tub walls and shower floor. Upon checking out, I informed the clerk of this issue, thinking something would be addressed and she told me there was nothing she could do! We paid $160 for one night, a double queen and an 8 lb dog. Breakfast....my husband wanted cereal and the milk was SPOILED! Needless to say...this will be our last stay! read more

Easily 4 stars, Generally stay in the Hol. Inn but was booked so looked around and found this place. I've stayed in Choice Hotels before and it can be a crap shoot. This one is fairly recently renovated. I Was pleasantly surprised all the way around. I will definitely be staying here next month when I come back. - Bed more comfortable than any hotel I've stayed in, even more so than my bed at home. - Clean comfortable room - Super Friendly Staff - Plenty of Parking Space - Pool was sparkling - Excellent Coffee, way better than the rainforest cafe junk. Breakfast was pretty standard, still good. - Landscaping and general arrangements are unique *There were a few dents and dings here and there *Only a couple floors so no elevator. *A bit higher than most choice brand hotels, but still half the cost of a comparable room at Hol.Inn *Smaller hotel, more of a Motel/Hotel Hybrid. I was always told as a regular traveler to avoid hotels that the doors face the parking lot. Good news, they have both inside and outside rooms. read more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.  Recently I stayed at this hotel and had a package delivered to me for them to hold until I checked in.  The package had arrived for me a few days before my check-in date but the label specifically said "HOLD FOR GUEST (MY NAME)" along with my check-in date.  Upon arrival, they claimed they never got the package so I went to my room and tracked it.  It said it was delivered with a timestamp and signed for by an MPATEL.  When I went back to the front desk with this info, I asked the lady working there if there was an MPATEL that could sign for the package.  She informed me that he was the manager and went to get him.  He said that he never signed for a package and that I would have to notify FEDEX.  I asked if there was anyone there that had the authority to sign his name and he said NO.  He also said that I probably didn't put the HOLD FOR on the package.  I assured him that it was there and then asked what he does when there is no HOLD FOR and he says he denies the package.  So clearly he signed for the package as it was marked delivered by FEDEX.  I called FEDEX to file a complaint as well but they are showing he signed for it.  After I checked out of the hotel, I decided to contact corporate to make them aware of the situation.  They filed a complaint on Sunday and told me to call back on Tuesday for an update.   What is funny is the person who took my call at the corporate number said this wasn't the only complaint he has taken about the place.  So clearly this hotel is on the radar.   I called back and gave them the case number and they told me that there was no complaint under that # or my name.  Spent another 45 minutes refiling a complaint and then was told that they forwarded it to the manager of the hotel which would be MPATEL so he can look into it.  BRILLIANT!!!!!  I'm sure MPATEL will do a full blown investigation into himself and determine that he did not steal the package.  They also said that it is out of their hands from here on out. On a side note, there are a lot of meth heads at this property.  People clearly tweaked out walking around the property.  Even those that don't know how to spot a meth head could see something is not right.  For your own safety....avoid this hotel at all costs.  Shame on Choice Hotels for allowing this sort of thing to happen to their guests.  I will never stay at one of their hotels again.  Congratulations, the 400 dollars of merchandise in the package lost you thousands in the long run. read more

Front desk personnel was friendly and quick. The hotel was clean. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were great along with the down comforters. We did have a room that had a like stadium lighting style parking lot light that totally lit it up, but we just closed the curtains. The breakfast was terrible. This place is infested with cockroaches! Found one in my fridge (gross), and my dad found one scampering across a hallway. Disgusting. Also I had hairs on the wall in my shower, and their water smells musty. I was afraid to brush my teeth with it and only used it when absolutely necessary. Also they do have breakfast, but I am suspicious that their orange juice was actually Sunny D. The bed was comfy and seemed clean, but I didn't get much sleep since I was terrified of seeing more roaches. Overall, do not recommend. read more

They informed me I couldn't stay there because of my age. It doesn't say this on their website. I asked if I could be refunded they said yess but it would take five days. I called after a week and a half of no refund. They said the manager hadn't been in, but they would process it. I then called choice hotels, and when the man helping me reached out to them they said I canceled the hotel too late, and would not be getting my money back. It would have been 5 starts: the room was beautiful, the hotel itself (which appears to be a once huge house outfitted to be a hotel) is beautiful. The room was immaculate, the carpet was amazing, there was just one thing that can easily be fixed-the bathtub drain was backing up and not fully draining while I was showering, leaving bath water pooled around my ankles. In a hotel-Yuck! The hot water also ran out, which I don't think I've ever dealt with in a hotel before. Other than that, staff was really nice and helpful. I had a problem with my tv and he was there not twenty seconds later (even though he didn't know how to fix the problem, which was fine, the problem was with my Xbox-LOL! If you live within 40 miles of this hotel they won't let you stay. They refused me because I'm within 40 miles and then refused to give me a refund when I showed up. I made the reservation online with a hotel finder and was at the hotel within the hour. He refused the refund and asked me to leave. I was astounded. I had no idea what happened. I called ahead as we were on the road traveling. I booked the hotel 5 minutes before checking in and was told at check in that the size bed I booked was not available. After explaining I just booked the room, somehow one was found. Took a shower, and as soon as I turned on the water, I began to cough, which is usually my allergic reaction to mold. I would suggest they change the shower head. The coughing stopped when I left the bathroom. The room had a slight musty smell. The air conditioner did not let you adjust the fan speed. Went to sleep and woke up with itchy red bumps on my feet and legs. Not sure if they were bed bugs (my guess) or a spider or some other bug, but took bed bug precautions at home before bringing my luggage in. After this experience, I was not brave enough to try the breakfast. read more

I booked a room at Quality Inn in Farmington, MO for my elderly mother because she does not have money and was taking a cross country trip for a family emergency. I used my credit card to reserve the room 1 week ago. Upon arrival, on 03/17/2019, the payment went through on my credit card account. My mother called me letting me know that the concierge asked her for a credit card to put on hold in case of damages. I called the concierge and wanted to verify that my card was indeed used to pay for the room for the night and that her card would be charged only if damages occurred. He confirmed that this was the case. Upon check-out, on 03/18/2019, my mother was asked for a credit card by the manager, Mike, to charge her for the room. My mother called me several hours after checking out to let me know what had happened. I called Mike and explained that I was indeed charged and that I indeed authorized the payment. He told me that I was not charged and that my mother was because my card wasn't present. I explained to him the conversation I had with the concierge the evening before and asked him to cancel the charge to my mother and that I had already been charged. He hung up on me. I called customer serve (Choice Hotels) to complain and to resolve this. After 40 minutes, mostly on hold, the customer service agent said they were incapable of resolving payment discrepancies with any of the hotels, and I would have to deal with the individual hotel. I told her that Mike hung up on me when I was trying to reverse the charge on my mothers card with him, and then she advised I get legal services and then hung up on me. At this point, my mother and I have both been charged for the room and no one from Quality Inn will help us resolve the issue for my mother who now feels taken advantage of and has very little money for the remainder of her trip. read more
