Average hotel, you get what you pay for, can't really complain much. What I will complain about though, is that the lady at the front desk was not very knowledgeable about the rooms. We requested a room with USB charging ports (which is pretty common in hotel lamps), only to go up to the room and find out there was no USB charging ports. It was also apparently one of the newer renovated rooms, yet there were stains on the floor. We immediately went back down to change rooms and got an older room, but at least cleaner, however still no USB charging. Other than that, there's nothing else I can complain about. The beds were decently comfortable, you have toiletries like shampoo, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion all available in the bathroom, and you can call room service for extras. They however do not have slippers. There's also an ice bucket in the room to get ice from the ice machine, which is on every floor, along with vending machines. However there's only one water fountain, which is on the first floor. There is also a coffee machine with coffee and tea packets in the room. There is a closet by the door with a small safe. The TV also works fine. I believe they also have a pool and gym that we didn't visit. The continental breakfast (free) was small but acceptable, as you get what you paid for. They have things like toast, waffles, eggs, sausages, fruits, coffee, milk, cereal, juice. The dining area is quite nice, with a view of Lake Erie. The best part is probably the free parking and no absurd fees (at least when I visited). Overall, very decent hotel for the price. They just need to work on training the workers better, and maybe switching lamps with USB ports.

The carpet in the corridors is the first clue that you picked the wrong place, but my room was good sized. The "art" consisted of posters stuffed into frames. The bathroom was old (when was the last time you saw three knobs in a bathtub?) but it was very clean. There are no appliances. A sparse continental breakfast is served in what was once a full service restaurant. At least the breakfast area is clean and appears to have recently been refreshed. The motel also has a country setting, lots of trees in back, a place for cooking out and a creek that runs along one side of the property, very peaceful! We were getting ready for bed and noticed the white powder. We have used this ourselves for pest control . It's called diatmecous earth . We've been started to inspect the bedding and found live bedbugs behind the bed and and sides , also bed bug skin and poop . We immediately gathered the children and what things we had in the room and garbage bags and checked out. We told them they have bedbugs and it's pretty obvious they are aware because they laid the white powder down and still continue to book the room. They told us they would give us a refund and they never did. We stay July 15, 2023.

The coat rack was rusted and had miscellaneous paint stains. If I could give zero stars I would. Stay elsewhere.

But it's not overpowering and you get used to it. There was no hairdryer or facial tissues provided in the room (I need both often) so that's my only real ding. A couple of things need work like the bathroom light fixture that was hanging outside of its socket and the room curtain that was clipped together to hold it shut. But it had a fridge and brand new utensils in the drawer. The room was clean and quiet.

When we opened the door to the replacement room a raw sewage smell greeted us, air conditioner was so loud we could we could not hear over it, we sat on the bed to try to find alternate accommodations and within minutes started getting bit on arms and legs. We immediately left and when I showed the front desk clerk the whelps on my arms, he responded with, "oh was it the bed bugs!" He was not surprised at all. We left the hotel and stayed in a clean hotel(not Choice). I called Choice Hotels and shared my experience and they were not the least bit concerned. I asked for a refund and was offered 16000 points, not even enough for a nights stay
