    I stayed here last night and it is hard to find a hotel that is clean and I feel safe in, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. This one checked all the boxes. The rooms are very clean. And. No. Carpet!!! They have been newly updated. The woman at the front desk was super polite and even gave me a tour of a room before booking one. As for breakfast it was great! They have Texas shaped waffles!! My kids absolutely loved them!!

    Traveling we like to stay at known chain hotels. This place allowed pets and is very clean. We will stay there again

    Staff was extremely incompetent and offered no solution when faced with a problem. Didn't even go in the room, we cancelled our reservation.

We've been LaQuinta Inn & Suites guests for years, but I will say the chain has gone down, especially the older hotels. This is one were they slapped lipstick on it to make it appear new and modern but when you get to the rooms it's definitely an older hotel. The lobby and breakfast area as decent and "modern". Our room when I opened the door the rug at the entry was torn (I took a picture to show the front desk, so they didn't try to charge us). The tile in the bathroom was cracked/broken in several places and definitely sprayed the room down with Lysol. It has definitely seen better days. The location was perfect because it was right off the highway and it was less than 3 hours to our final destination and not the worst in reviews when we searched. There is some green space out front but don't go around back, they don't cut the grass and I don't know if the owners live on the property as there is a large overgrown garden or that is what it looked like. It's also next to another low budget hotel and they have a German Shepherd that's at the front desk. We made it through the night, and I definitely check your statement because they charged us a $1.00 (which I know isn't anything) but didn't indicate what it was for.

They also have a large German shepherd that they keep in the lobby. It was not friendly towards my small chihuahua, they also let it off leash in the parking lot area to do its business. They put signs on the grass that there are pesticides on the grass but it's not true. They put it up so people don't let their dogs go there. When we checked in we were told that since we were a long term stay that someone would have to come in check the rooms every few days to make sure we were keeping it clean if we didn't use housekeeping. The hallway smelled musty. My room had a broken window, and black mold on the ceiling. We also had other people that we were traveling with and one guy had ants coming thru his air conditioner and he was on the fourth floor. I wouldn't walk on the carpet with my bare feet, it felt moist and gross. The whole room just felt damp and smelled musty. At least once a day the elevator would stop working and they would have to "reset it" but it was always during peak hours. There were people sitting in the hallways on their phones being loud, laughing and crying. Needless to say we checked out early and went 20 more minutes north to find a better hotel. I didn't use the pool since it looks gross. There were also LOTS of cameras in the parking lot and inside the hotel. There was also a ring camera in the elevator where they can hear you talking so be careful what you say. Whenever you open or close a door they get an audible alert, when you pull into the parking lot there is a chime set up for that too. Everyone staying there that we ran into in the hallways had horrible things to say but I think they have a contract with a truck driving school so that where their students stay til they complete their course. Just an overall horrible stay and I don't know how they have 4 stars on trip advisor, seems fishy to me.

Check in lady at the front asked if we needed a handicap room we said no and well we got one anyways We let them know when we booked we are a family of 4 2 adults and 2 young kids lady at the front desk advised us to mind our noise level before we even got our key it seemed rude to presume we'd cause some kind of disturbance and if you know we are a young family checking in and we booked days in advance maybe make sure we are in a secluded area as a posed to front an center right above the front lobby in a handicap room after check in we headed up to our room floors in front of the elevator were extremely dirty and the hand rail in the elevator was real wobbly we entered our room upon inspection room looked clean ac worked well tv phone all working hangers in the closet were broken none the less we unpacked and got ready to settle in for the night there were only two towels in the room there are 4 of us so naturally I went down for additional body towels and wash cloths at the front desk I was questioned on why I needed so many towels I explained we are a family of 4 it's late and we are showering before bed we each need a towel to dry ourselves and wash cloths to bathe with I feel if a guest is saying we need something I shouldn't have to explain myself in order to receive service maybe next time I should pack my own towels thank god I'm not handicap or an elderly person because the shower seat was unsafe to sit on I sat on the shower chair thinking I'd be able to use this peice of equipment the offer their guest in order to sit and bathe my kids as soon as I sat in the chair the legs bent apart and I was on the floor had I actually needed this shower chair their would have been a problem and a possible injury. once we get settled we go out to the vending machine unfortunately the vending machine didn't take card which would be fine if there was any way to pull cash on site but sadly no ATM. We arrived around 12am and booked our hotel. After leaving our bags in the room, we stopped to get Wingstop nearby. After bringing the food back, we ate and got ready for bed. Anytime we go to a hotel, we check sheets and bedding to see whether they are clean or not. For the first time in any hotel, we found very unpleasant findings in the up-keeping of this specific hotel's bedding. On the surface of the sheets there were stains on the pillow cases , unidentifiable small piles of what looked like dead skin of some sort and hairs. Underneath the first layer of sheets , there were boogers/ and mucus slid across the side of the bed , as well as what looked like a pubic hair near the bottom. After seeing the bedding, we were hesitant to stay and but it was late, and we were tired so we asked for new sheets, but decided to go ahead and just leave before the sheets got to us. We requested a refund and the clerk said he would call the GM (Suru) to ask if it was okay to refund. The response he gave us was "the owner (Suru) said there's nothing they can do about it" We wanted to give it one more try before calling Suru, so we asked for another room and they gave us a new key. After checking the sheets on the next bed , we had the same experience. It looked like the sheets had not been changed either and the bed had more unpleasant stains, hairs and markings on it. Keep in mind, you never know what the last person has brought to the room, so this could be a flag for potential bed bugs or and worse. After seeing the sheets in the 2nd room we decided it was enough. We left around 2AM ( a 2hr total booking) and tried calling Suru with no answer ( the contact card for Suru is just the Corsicana hotel's line) Contact issues: The next day, I tried calling back, the clerk on the shift told me Suru would be back next week . I patiently waited until Monday to call, and after I called, I was told she was out sick and would not be back until the next week. When I called Monday the next week, another clerk answered, and I told her what happened the night me and my partner stayed at the hotel and that I have proof of the bedding since we took pictures and even got a receipt of our visit. She tried to get in contact with Suru with "no Luck" and told me she would leave a voicemail and note for her to see. She told me suru would be back the next day. I called back Tuesday to confirm if Suru had seen my message and was then told she would not be back until the next day again in the morning around 10am - 1pm but the clerks said they did not know what exact time she would be in. I waited until today (Wednesday June 4th 2025) to call once again and was first told "she's out of town so she won't be here today". After explaining that the other clerks told me the she would in fact, be at the hotel, the clerk says " okay, I just talked to her actually, she will be in after 3pm" After expecting Suru had been avoiding me, I called customer relations to explain to them the situation and unprofessionalism of the hotel and they said they would send a ticket in to request a refund. I told them to let me try one more time to call at 3pm so maybe I can talk to Suru. After calling once at 3:10 and then once again after 4pm I was told both times that Suru still was not there. After those called , I went ahead again and called customer relations to submit my ticket, and the representative told me "the GM said they are refusing your refund" Overall, the experience was draining, unpleasant , disappointing and unacceptable. I would not recommend anyone who is passing by to spend money on these rooms that are not kept up with. They also avoid refunding the customer even when they are at fault. Booking here puts the customer at risk when not being cleaned properly and I will not be recommending or staying at any other Best Western location because of this experience. These beds were several inches short of that all around. And, believe me, when you share a bed with a kicky sleeper, you want all the inches of the queen bed you are paying for. We brought it up immediately, before we even unpacked, with the front desk, but they insisted that they were queen beds. I think the site I booked on claimed this was a 2.5 star hotel-- uh-uh, 2 stars at best, very run down and so smoky smelling for a supposedly smoke free hotel. One positive was the hot breakfast with an espresso coffee machine, nice! In the end, the false advertising about the queen beds just left a bad taste in my mouth, though.

"I can't be responsible for what somebody else told you" Well gee, what was I thinking? I feel so silly. Silly for believing them. I checked out. No apology, no adjustments. Room was okay. Not super clean. Towels were soft and fluffy. Lighting was poor, even with every light in the room turned on it was dim. Really, if you're considering this for more than a night I'd think twice. They definitely don't appreciate you.

The staff never missed an opportunity to make one of the worst days of my wife's life worse. We booked two days ahead of time upon learning of her passing. The listing was for a pet friendly hotel. After driving 15 hours, we checked in at around 4 pm and we're promptly surprised with a $15 pet fee for my wife's ESA dog. Fine, whatever. I paid cash. Upon entering the room, we were bloated by the smell of smoke in this "non- smoking" room. I spent the next 10 minutes killing boxelder bugs in the room. We also noted the TV remote was broken. The following morning, i was pulled out of the family line entering the funeral service with my wife due to repeated calls from Super 8 insisting that I confirm that we are checking out on time. This is over an hour before our checkout time. They told me that they needed to know since we still had stuff in the room, meaning they either entered before or checkout or have cameras in the room. I'm choosing to believe the former. As the service began running towards our checkout time, i got online to request a late checkout for an additional $20. It was at this time i noticed that I had a fraud alert from Super 8 for $9,421. I left my wife at the service early as it was made clear by this point there would be NO grace. As I was finishing up the final load into the car, the door closed behind me, and the key cards were immediately deactivated, locking our dog in the room. I was finally able to get a cleaning crew lady to open the door to get out fur baby out of this hell-hole. With the exception of the single cleaning lady, this entire staff continually treated us as an inconvenience and seemed to relish treating us spitefully in every interaction. If I could give this location negative stars, I would, as this site is a disservice to 1 star hotels everywhere. Save yourself the headache and heartache and stay ANYWHERE else. If I must come back to Corsicana, I will sleep in my car in a Walmart parking lot before ever staying here again. As far as I'm concerned, as long as Super 8 allows this staff to stay employed the entire chain's reputation is stained.
