I would have stayed here but there was limited availability and the price was more than I wanted to pay. Apparently, there was a Morgan Wallen concert at nearby Clemson University that same weekend, as well as other local events. The main lobby area was nice and cozy with lots of seating. This hotel has a nice indoor pool. The breakfast area looked nice as well. The front desk staff was very friendly. I would love to stay here in the future should I return to this area.

All of the check-in and out procedures go through someone working virtually. I will not be staying here again unless I absolutely have to. I would also argue that the use of technology in this way at this location benefits the manager or host more than the customer. Also, due to this setup, you can only purchase drinks and snacks that are offered in the lobby with cash, since there is no one there to accept a card.

It bugs me that they painted over it instead of dealing with it correctly. The hotel was full (at least for King beds) so my husband sealed it off with plastic sheeting and tape so we wouldn't have to deal with switching rooms.) Our mold was "the devil you know." We didn't want to take a chance on unknowns. Besides the mold, the room overall was just okay. The TV was frustrating - a guide to channels would have been useful. The internet was slow at times. The bed was VERY FIRM and not really comfortable. The bedding was CLEAN. The bathroom was clean (besides the mold) but the tub had huge chips in it and the walls around it had indentations where shelves used to be. The toilet paper roll holder was loose so the roll kept falling off. There were plenty of towels and they were clean. There was a lack of information given at check-in or within the room. I didn't know if there was maid service or if I could get new towels, get the garbage dumped, etc., so I chased down a cleaner one morning with my full garbage bag and asked for a new bag. The breakfast was good and had many choices. The breakfast area was clean. The orange juice was super watered down.

A couple of things stood out, though: there was hair from a previous guest on the shower wall, and one of the couch cushions had quite a few stains on the underside. Also, the TV wasn't centered with the beds, which seemed like an odd design choice but wasn't a major issue. The elevators were a little questionable during our stay, and one was actually taken out of service just as we were leaving. The real standout of this hotel was the front desk associate working when we arrived around 10:30 p.m. She was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. She let us know that if we needed bedding for the pull-out sofa, all we had to do was call, and she would bring it up--which she did promptly with a smile. Even though it was late, she remained cheerful and seemed happy to help. We stay in hotels fairly often, and it's refreshing to encounter someone who provides that level of customer service, especially compared to the more routine overnight staff we often come across. I wish I remembered her name because she definitely deserves recognition. Overall, for a quick overnight stay or even a few nights, this Holiday Inn serves its purpose well. Our first room had a bedspread with unknown brown streaks on it. Jessica at the front desk was helpful enough to move us to another room, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the new room had an AC unit that was not functioning properly. Housekeeping stated that they would not be able to issue additional towels to me because of the number of people in the room. We didn't want to escalate the issues to Jessica again, but in hindsight, we probably should have. I've included photos of the "ready room," where the bed appeared to have been very quickly pieced together rather than properly prepared for a new guest. Jessica acknowledged "you should have clean sheets when checking into a hotel." Hot breakfast is available 7-10am, basic spread but the Hotel staff were lining up at 10am to also enjoy, which is great but I'd still prefer the details in rooms be addressed. To make matters worse, our original travel plans were unexpectedly cancelled, resulting in us being unable to utilize one of the days we had already paid for. I contacted the hotel and kindly requested a refund for that single unused day. Jessica flatly denied the request, despite the fact that we had only stayed from Friday 9pm to Monday 2am and were only asking for consideration for the one day we were unable to use due to circumstances outside of our control. I understand hotels have policies, but there should also be some level of customer service and compassion when unexpected travel disruptions occur. Between the room cleanliness/condition issues, the AC problem, and the refusal to accommodate a reasonable request, this was unfortunately not the experience we expected.

The room was massive with high ceilings and great amenities (great soaps, new clocks/tv, wall chargers and lights everywhere). The common space was also well appointed and very modern and decorated with vibes that well exceeded the price we payed. I was disappointed that we only got to stay for a few hours. We got a great night sleep in a place that would be very comfortable to spend many nights. They have a big parking lot with EV chargers and even a bike share. If you are staying in Greenville or just passing through, this place should be on the top of your list. It was right by the highway so it was easy to get started on our drive the next morning.

I was the sole guest during my 3 day 2 night stay there so felt like I had the whole top floor to myself. The house is an old structure but Karen has made it a cosy and comfy home away from home. My room was well-furnished with a nice size bed and fireplace seating area. This room also had a nice big tub in the bedroom space as well as a doored bathroom with shower. The balcony opened out to views of the street. Nice big spaced room with lots of windows/shades, light and a fan too. No TV here but you do have uninterrupted wifi. Parking is on a lot just across the street and the location is great - this is the closes B&B to the square where all the shops and restaurants are located. Nice quiet neighborhood but still close to historic attractions. Guests can be entertained in the living area downstairs. You get a key to enter and exit the inn as you wish. Fridge on the upper level has water and soda aplenty. Towels, toiletries provided and Karen has lived in the area long enough to provide any info, etc. My stay was pleasant and enjoyable. The quiet and calm provided for some much warranted writing time for me. Rates are really cheap and rooms can be booked over the phone with Karen.

Complimentary breakfast consisting of hash brown casserole, grits, sausage, bacon, biscuits, assorted sweet rolls, cereals, grapefruit, fruit salad, grits, egg and cheese casserole, toast, juices, teas, coffee.And did you see--COMPLIMENTARY! Our class also reserved their venue for our post reunion gathering and HEAVENS at the food. Chicken Salad on crossoints, pork tenderloin snuggled in a cheese biscuit, assorted cheeses, meats and crackers. But that's not all.
