This location is modern and very clean. La Quinta still offers top pricing if you're traveling with your pupper ($25/night), which is a main reason as to why we choose to continually book with them when we make our roadtrips across the nation. For this stay, our room was room 204, which is located on the second floor (the designated pet floor), overlooking the front main entrance and parking lot. This room was clean and it's location served us well (far enough away from busy elevators and most noises). We had beautiful mountain and sunset views too. Service was extremely pleasant. One of my most favorite things I look forward to when staying at a hotel is the coffee and tea station. This La Quinta offered a great selection of different teas, hot chocolates, and decaf and regular coffee. Their hot breakfast was great as well (served from 6am to 9am with offerings such as: waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausages, grits, oatmeal and juice drinks). We really appreciate all this hotel offered. From the clean room and well maintained property to the complimentary drinks and friendly service. Highly recommend booking with this La Quinta.

The evening front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I was greeted by name as I walked in the door. Now that takes some effort! There were a couple of minor housekeeping issues but hey, I'm not perfect either. Comfortable bed, proper heat, nice decor.

Knowing this can often be difficult--especially mid-stay--I asked the front desk staff, Brett H. and Matthew B., if they could accommodate my request. To my surprise, they handled it quickly, courteously, and without an upcharge. As a frequent traveler, I can say that this level of flexibility and service is not always the norm, even at higher-end properties. Their willingness to help turned what could have been a stressful situation into a seamless one. The property itself is excellent--clean, spacious rooms, a good fitness area with free weights, a pool, and a satisfying complimentary breakfast. But what stood out most was the outstanding staff. Too often, reviews highlight only negative experiences, so I want to give credit where it is due: Brett and Matthew went above and beyond, and made my stay exceptional.

We arrived early in the afternoon having driven only from the Georgetown/Lexington area where we spent the night in a Hampton Inn. We were able to check in when we arrived - YAY! And and luggage cart was available and elevator waiting to take us up to the fourth floor. Most of our team was also on 4 - a few on 3. Which is fine. The first thing I did when returning the cart was check out the fitness center - BOO. At least this one had dumbbells - better than the prior hotel but nowhere near the luxurious and well-stocked fitness centers of our prior trips to TN. The good news - I spent all weekend at the field and didn't have the opportunity to work out here. I also was OK just getting plenty of walking in at the softball park as I've been overdoing my strength training. Our room was 2 double beds - nice and roomy, good TV, fridge, and coffee maker. Linens clean and spacious bathroom. The one bonus amenity was EAR PLUGS! YAY YAY as the ones I packed did not help much when I used them the prior night. These were life savers - but I still slept crappy to no fault of the ear plugs or hotel - just my hubby/roommate who snored horribly. I have learned not to even try and wake him to get him to stop. He 1. Yells at me as I, too, admittedly snore some times, 2. Gets mad at me and 3. Falls back to sleep and the snoring resumes in about one minute. Or sooner. Not time for me to fall asleep. Breakfast time! We had an 8:30 game and our alarm went off at 5:45. I went downstairs a little after 6 while hubby was showering. All I ever want is fresh fruit and coffee. Nothing more. I was 1 for 2. Coffee only. NO FRUIT. So I made time during the day to stop at Food Lion and buy my own breakfast food. I cannot remember a time a hotel did not even put out some apples. Really? Nothing? I don't think this is a COVID thing as other hotels have served apples wrapped in plastic wrap (totally unnecessary - just wash them before eating them!!) Location good, parking plenty, wifi free and no sign in needed (YAY!) But HUGE strikes for the lack of fruit in the morning and the size of the fitness center. Had we have stayed longer than 2 nights, I would have made due with the fitness center and got a work out in. But the breakfast thing would still be a problem. So not getting five stars - still pondering between 3 and 4 . . . The steaming hot carafe of decaf after an evening in the cold air was just amazing and perfect. 4 stars it is!

That is what I base my decision on when I decided to stay there only to find out after they got my mone lit's tricky and they're even advertising 120 a night rate but when you get there, it's almost 170 and my case was $800 for one night I just checked out and went next-door Holiday Inn express seeing how they want to be like these brand-name quality hotels incredible. I figured I'd give them business alot of tricky and. scamming I wonder how they're gonna respond to this. I'm sure it will be pretty lame and textbook excuse but entertaining. I'm still trying to see what this magnolia farms connection is why they're cross marketing it but this hotel is destroying their brand also so they may want to take a step back and look at that. Onward!

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very happy that our small dog was allowed to join us. The staff shared with us that they allow dogs on tritoons, canoes, some stand-up paddleboards, the fishing boat, and select pontoons. Arrangements should be made in advance, especially pontoon rentals, so plan accordingly. The day came, and we checked in for our reservation. We were kindly greeted and given the rundown and took care of the paperwork. Afterward, we looked around the marina main office at the souvenir goodies provided such as t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and a few locally made items displayed. They also have items like sunscreen, snacks, and sandals available to purchase. A restroom on the outer of the building is provided, so take advantage before boarding your boat rental. The pontoon boat we rented ($180 for four hours on a weekday) was practically brand new and perfectly maintained. It was very clean and had a nice setup. The staff provided a map of the lake along with some tips on where to find the rope swings and the islands you could park at. If you visit the islands, be aware there's red dirt. Be sure to clean your feet before boarding the boat again to avoid any cleaning fee after you bring the boat back to the marina. We had a great experience that made repeat customers out of us. Beautiful, clean, and quiet lake, friendly and helpful staff, tip top boat rental with affordable pricing, AND dog friendly- great all around, and we highly recommend.
