I had an absolutely horrific experience staying at this location from September 3rd to September 8th, 2026. * Room 326 (Ant Infestation): My first room was crawling with ants. They got all over my personal belongings, inside my drinks, and were scattered across the entire room. I had to pack up and change rooms. * Room 301 (Bed Bugs): I was moved to room 301, only to find another bug crawling on my sheets on the day of checkout. By the evening after checking out, I broke out in painful bug bites all over my hands, arms, armpits, and elbows. * Management: When I brought these serious health hazards to the General Manager, they were extremely rude and completely dismissive of everything that happened. Matt at the front desk was wonderful. Breakfast was very good (eggs and bacon always a winner) and I loved being able to pop downstairs to use the gym (treadmill and free weights). Cleveland has grown so much since I was a child so the Paul Huff area is unrecognizable to me and the traffic is no joke but I will say, the location of the hotel gives you very quick access to just about any kind of store or restaurant you could need. The bed was miserable with a crater in the middle and the AC unit threw out musty/mildew vapors which triggered my asthma and caused me to gasp awake choking on it. No matter what they tried to do to renovate, this hotel has age on it that they can't hide. We called ahead to let the front desk know we would not make the 3 PM check-in time, and even though we did not arrive until a few minutes before midnight, our room was still reserved and ready for us. After such a long day on the road, that was greatly appreciated. The room was comfortable when we got there, the temperature was set well, and the bed was comfortable too. They also offered breakfast. I did not try it myself, but my husband did and said it was good. Another big plus was the parking. We had a 20-foot U-Haul truck, and it fit in the parking lot easily. The lot felt spacious, safe, and secure, which matters a lot when you are traveling with a truck full of belongings. Overall, this was a smooth and pleasant overnight stop, and I would definitely stay at this location again.

The staff were friendly and helpful. We were very happy that our small dog was allowed to join us. The staff shared with us that they allow dogs on tritoons, canoes, some stand-up paddleboards, the fishing boat, and select pontoons. Arrangements should be made in advance, especially pontoon rentals, so plan accordingly. The day came, and we checked in for our reservation. We were kindly greeted and given the rundown and took care of the paperwork. Afterward, we looked around the marina main office at the souvenir goodies provided such as t-shirts, mugs, stickers, and a few locally made items displayed. They also have items like sunscreen, snacks, and sandals available to purchase. A restroom on the outer of the building is provided, so take advantage before boarding your boat rental. The pontoon boat we rented ($180 for four hours on a weekday) was practically brand new and perfectly maintained. It was very clean and had a nice setup. The staff provided a map of the lake along with some tips on where to find the rope swings and the islands you could park at. If you visit the islands, be aware there's red dirt. Be sure to clean your feet before boarding the boat again to avoid any cleaning fee after you bring the boat back to the marina. We had a great experience that made repeat customers out of us. Beautiful, clean, and quiet lake, friendly and helpful staff, tip top boat rental with affordable pricing, AND dog friendly- great all around, and we highly recommend.

Mind you, we rented a boat to fit 10 people, so obviously we weren't going to be showing up in just 1-2 cars. Anyway, that wasn't the true issue here. It wasn't communicated to us that we couldn't all park at the marina, but it wasn't a big deal as the parking attendant told us we could park our extra vehicles at the Inn down the road. So, we would just have to shuttle back to the marina in one of the vehicles we were keeping there. Upon parking our vehicles at the Inn which we were told to do by their parking attendant, we were "greeted" by the male owner telling us we can't park there. Someone in our group expressed to the male owner that the parking situation and miscommunication about it was a bit frustrating, as it was making us late for our boat rental and it all could be handled better for future customers. The owner then immediately proceeded to tell our friend we are no longer renting a boat (after we have already unloaded all of our things, stowed them away onto the boat, got two handicapped elderly members of our group loaded onto it and got myself & my 3 year old child loaded onto to it), called my friend an "a**hole" simply for expressing frustration AND BEST OF ALL, telling us we will not be getting a refund after he is cancelling our reservation. Luckily, the female owner did refund us after some back & forth. Unfortunately for her (as she was very kind and pleasant), she is doing business with someone who is obviously short fused and doesn't care much about customer service. We have given this place business multiple times over the past few years, so we are really disappointed with our experience and will not be returning or suggesting for others to do so.

Although they do not allow smoking in the rooms, smoking is allowed on the porch outside of each room. If you are smoke sensitive you need to be aware of this smoking policy. We stayed two nights. Check-in was easy enough although our greeting was not unfriendly it did not set a comfortable tone. A basket of fruit, granola bars & mini muffins were left in our room for the second morning but I was not told if there was a basket for the first morning of our stay. A coffee maker is available in the room. Noise levels here are not bad considering the motel is located downtown with restaurants nearby although late arrivals can be noisy. They have several motorcycle guests here.
