Dated and older hotel, room was queen, but lots of things have not been updated in a while... There was a black ceramic holder for a box of Kleenex... But sadly no Kleenex There were a few towels, but the three that were in the room we're pretty worn and thin A couple of the lamps did not work and or had burnt out lightbulbs. Either way did not have light where I would have liked to have it. Check in staff at 1 AM was friendly. Bed was comfortable and the sheets felt clean Overall, it served my purpose... No elevator, which they don't bother to tell you when you make your reservation or even when you check in. There was something terribly sticky (syrup, maybe?) on the carpet of our room. The bed was very poorly made and looked ridiculous, and the fitted sheet would not stay on AT ALL. The TV didn't work, and I had to look up the phone number and call the front desk on my cell phone to see about getting the tv fixed because the phone in the room didn't work, either! Breakfast was a joke. They had biscuits and gravy. The gravy came from a broke container and was ice cold. The orange juice was colored water. They had bagels but no cream cheese. They ran out of waffle batter. The waffle maker look to be vantage World War II surplus.The ice machine was broken on the first floor and I had to go upstairs to get ice. At 6:47 the fire alarm sounded. The guy down the hall finally went to the front desk as you couldn't call on the room phones. I wonder what would've happened in an actual emergency. I would not stay here again they charged my credit card twice before I arrived. Most hotels charge you after you leave but they charge you the whole amount before you arrive. I asked to speak with the manager her name is Lori she was rude not customer friendly at all I asked about charges she said they voided them out I would have my money back in my account by Friday. Then wanted me to pay the same amount again because she said I owed for the room. I had to use a different card, so I paid with one. Money is Still not back into my account. The Room was not cleaned stains everywhere including bathroom including the floors, the TV would go off & on to reboot it every 2-5mins definitely did not have channels that were good to watch. My expectations were low due to recent reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by the room itself ... large room, expected amenities, and clean. It is an old hotel, so loose baseboards and such were somewhat expected. Asked the desk for more pillows than the three "mini" ones that were supplied for the king bed. Was told there shouldn't be a problem checking in early. After a 5 hour drive we arrived a couple hours before check in and was told there would be no early check ins but they would call when a room was available. Not a big deal we went and had lunch and came back at 3(check in time) and was told that there were still no rooms ready for check in that there would be at least a 30 min wait and that there have been a lot people who have already checked in yet we had never received a call. The staff was wonderful and attentive/ the room was musty and dank smelled of mildew had to ask for towels and have the tv fixed few lamps needed light bulbs / location was good staff was awesome front desk lady was very kind and attentive. If you have allergies this is not the place to stay I had a migraine for two days afterwards. After staying for one night, it is clear the Quality Inn is EXTREMELY LOW quality. As soon as we walked in it stank of smoke (supposedly a smoke free hotel) and there was dirt and grime all over the walls and floors in the bathroom. Also there were holes in the bathroom wall. There were dead bugs throughout the hotel. The door into the hotel where you have to swipe your card to enter was not even locked so anyone could come in. There was mold on the mattress. Throughout the night there was slamming doors constantly. The TV was all jacked up. Overall, very rank hotel, more of a motel. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone, ever. read more

So the only reason I'm leaving 5 stars is due to how incredibly nice Kristen was. When pulling in to the parking lot we had a homeless man try to through a torch at us in the drive way. Absolutely awful!!! The manager !! The front desk lady Carolyn is rude and unhelpful!! We stayed here oct 15th and I got bit by bugs when I woke up I was scratching like crazy. We were given the runaround and told we had to wait for a manager by 3 different employees. The next morning we were able to contact her and she said I was lying and why would I stay again?? Because not everyone has 400 to go on another hotel room. We wanted to talk to the manager! She then decided I wasn't lying and she knows she has fleas & her employees also told us they know they have bugs! The employees are scared to ask their manager for help and we are here again to address the refund that was promised & they are acting like they never heard of it & was acting like we were a problem. read more

We came up to Durant for the World Poker tournament at Choctaw Casino, and so did many others. We got screwed because apparently the door handle fell off of the door to our room or something, so they cancelled our room the day of. The lady at the front desk said they would cover another hotel room, but the problem was that EVERYTHING in the area was booked. Sat at the front desk for two hours until the manager was eventually called and they said that they were not covering a room for us and that we were basically SOL. Ended up having to stay in Denison, which was almost half an hour away from the casino, rather than 5 minutes. read more

The room was nice sized,and pleasingly decorated.The guest services people were friendly and accommodating.That's about all the good I can say.When we arrived the first night of our two night stay,there was no remote for the tv,and the toilet had a stick sticking out of it.When I tried to flush it,it would not.We tried to call the front,but no answer.My husband went and informed the desk.Then he came back and removed the stick,as well as a bunch of tp.They did get us a remote,and we were set for the weekend.Until we turned off the lights.We started getting attacked by crickets.We killed several,then sprayed the window sill and door with window cleaner.Then we found a nest of dead ones under the nightstand.I reported to the front desk the next morning,where I was told they would get housekeeping to vacuum and spray.When we came back that night,we realized it didn't happen.The dead bugs were still there,and I found an earring back that belonged to someone else.This just really makes me question their cleanliness!Also,the room next to us had a dog that barked all night,and the one above we heard every step they took! read more

Room was very dirty, dead bugs on the floor, one bed not made and the other looked like someone had been sitting on it before we got there. There was hair all over the shower walls, used soap still in the bathtub. Toilet was broke and had feces still in it. Coffee area had spilt coffee creamer everywhere and the fridge had mold in it. When we called the front desk they hung up on us then told us since it was passed the 20 minute window we're stuck in it. Very rude people at the front desk. Definitely not worth $200. Will not ever stay or recommend this hotel to anyone. read more

We had to leave this hotel within an hour of checking in. There were roaches and crickets in the rooms, and one room in our block had dog food in it upon check-in. The rooms also had a weird mildew smell. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Durant. read more

I'm a 30 year active flight attendant. We stay at really nice hotels, most of the times. This hotel only had 1-1/2 stars and I was skeptical about staying. But we were in a storm, and we travel by road with our dog. So we checked in. The grounds are well kept as was the lobby! It has a nice pool, that we could see but not use, again it was storming. The rooms were nice, sofa was a bit worn, but everything else was updated. Fridge and microwave and we used both. The breakfast was tasty, and had lots of choices. We couldn't get sound on the tv to track the storms, so Joseph came right away and fixed it! Laura was pleasant and friendly and helpful and nice to our Yorkie, as was Joseph. We are moving to Texas from Illinois. We have a few more trips down this way. I would definitely stay again. Only one problem is they charge $15 for dogs. That's why we usually stay at La Quinta's, no charge and our dog is well behaved and doesn't make messes. I think only the animals that make messes, their humans should be charged. But all in all it was a great experience. I am now glad for this hotel that, la Quinta didn't have space so I could help rectify the poor rating. It's a bit pricey, but you have to pay for good employees a and everyone wants to be paid for their work. I was at a Hampton in Austin that charges $300 a night. Check in and the guy working the front desk was very helpful and polite. I was assigned a room downstairs and that was great because they do not have an elevator. Went into the room and checked the bathroom and the tub was nasty with dirt and hair. I decided not to make a deal of it and cleaned it up myself. The tub drain was also stopped up. There was trash in the can. I went to go check the bed and as I pulled the cover back the smell of urine hit me bad so I pulled the top sheet off the bed and on the mattress cover there was a huge yellow pee stain. On my way out of this room you could see into the hall thru a gap by the door. Went to the front got a new room upstairs. Went in and check the bed it was OK now onto the bathroom and same issue with dirt all in the tub and hair all over the tub. Also hair all over the floor very bad, no bath mat, sink had dried spit and hair all over. I was done so I delt with it. Upon checking out the girl up front would not even get out of your chair and I could barely see her over the counter and she just slipped the receipt across the counter and said have a nice day. I'm only giving two stars because they relocated our room, but our handicapped members of our party had to stay on the disgusting bottom floor and were racked with breathing issues. Our ceiling started leaking, we were on the bottom floor. Stains and torn up sheetrock were all over this room, staff didn't believe us when we said our bed was wet. Ok first time I stayed it was ok.. not great. Pot smoke filled the rooms, unsavory people around. Had to stay a second time for work... let's just say this time is was horrific. Let me explain, I had a cockroach crawl across me. I went to the front desk and I'll be damned the lady tried to tell me it was a water bug because it had rained. Ugh. The I speak with the manager and she implied that, I myself, brought it in the room with me!! Oh I was furious. Soooo passed professional. Then although I understand in today's society that we need to help one another out.... I was kind of startled when I was looking for the front counter clerk to get the sack breakfast and I walk around the corner and holler and there was a man asleep in a chair and he popped up and said, she's in the other room. Well ok then. I'm glad they are kind hearted and help people. I applaud them for that. But, honestly they have a lot of unsavory people hanging out around the hotel. This is an awful hotel, that looks as if it was renovated on the outside, but not on the inside. The AC unit in our room was moldy- and it smelled like a musty smoke shop inside. The AC in the rest of the hotel was out. The front desk lady that works during the day is rude and stuck up. Not helpful at all. Upon arrival, we waited 10 minutes with about 6 other people just for someone to help us with check in. I do not recommend this business. Support staff is friendly, but management is very rude and disinterested in providing a high level of customer service. My room was tidy, but not cleaned. Mirror dirty, urine dried on toilet, dark makeup stains on duvet. Fortunately, no bed bugs but that's the first thing I looked for because everything indicated THIS would be the kind of hotel that would have them. The continental breakfast was poor quality. The coffee, biscuits, gravy, and eggs were always cold. The fruit was not fresh. The waffles you make yourself but check for foreign objects in your batter. My room was on the second floor. Wish I had read the Yelp review before booking this place. How bad can it be?.... Bad. My friend and I stayed here after a concert at the Casino. I thought $120 In Durant would get me a decent hotel, not luxurious, but at least clean! I was wrong. The lock was broken on the door, the toilet was broken (we had to fix it ourselves), there were "hairs" of a particular kind behind the bathroom door, and the place was just generally dirty. I felt gross staying there. I actually refused to shower there to next day. On the plus side, the beds seemed clean and were comfortable. The mattress was falling apart in room 126. I requested another room. Room 115 had a "better" mattress, but the room smelled dirty. The carpet is nasty, the paint is coming off the walls. Second room had not been vacuumed and there where fingernails in the carpet and hairs in the sheets. Took a shower and had to stand in ankle deep water because the showers don't drain.
