Months ago, the door's striker plate began hitting against the door's striker in such a way not to allow the latch to retract. Thus, the door would not close properly and banged against the door upon closing every time. I finally got around to taking a look at it and the installation was incredibly unprofessional. The striker was being held by two garbage metal pieces instead of a normal strike plate deadlatch. There is no excuse for this. I then called Ben, the owner/manager, and that was a condescending speech asking me why I waited so long to tell him. Bottom line and I'm sorry to say this, but I won't be going back and neither should you. I'm updating my review because I just spoke with the owner. He just read my review and told me the garbage pieces holding on my plate came with the lock. Yeah, right! He didn't like my review and said he doesn't want to do business with me in the future. Is this someone you want to deal with? I think definitely not!

My garage door cable had come off the drum and one wheel had come out of the track. I was presented with two choices: a $275 "temporary fix" or a $475 "permanent fix." I asked exactly what the temporary fix included and was told it simply meant putting the wheel back in the track and rewinding the existing cable onto the drum. No replacement parts were installed. Although I understand that companies charge for experience and expertise, $275 felt excessive for what I was told was simply reassembling the existing parts. What concerns me even more is the invoice I received afterward. It states that I declined new rollers, end bearing plates, center bearing, vertical tracks, and even a new garage door opener. That was not how the conversation was presented to me. I was offered only two choices--a temporary repair for $275 or a permanent repair for $475. I was never given individual estimates for each of those items or asked to make separate decisions about replacing them. When I contacted the company afterward to express my concerns, they responded by explaining their pricing policy but did not address my concerns about the invoice or whether the work performed justified the charge. The technician was professional and prompt, and I appreciate that. My dissatisfaction is with the pricing, the way the repair options were presented, and the documentation that appeared on my receipt afterward. If you're considering this company, I recommend asking for a detailed written estimate before authorizing any work and making sure you understand exactly what is being repaired, what is being replaced, and what will appear on your final invoice.

I needed a special sized board that I could not find anywhere else so I went to Ivey's and Nick in lumber sales was extremely helpful. He got me what I wanted without a problem. Very disappointed with the performance of the system package that cost me over $10,000 (I purchased…read moretheir premium/top level speaker package and a number of other items they recommended). Before the installation, I shared my concerns below with the sales person/installer: 1. The size of the inwall speakers the recommended would not likely reproduce the full range of sound desired (especially midrange frequencies) 2. The soundstage produced by the front three speakers needed to anchor vocals to the faces onscreen - not localized to a speaker (especially not to the center channel located below screen). 3. I wanted clean but very strong bass performance that you could feel but not localize to a point in the room. After the installation I received a full demo and sure enough - they failed on all three points. - There is minimal midrange reproduction - The voices are localized on the center channel speaker (despite adjustments) - The powered subwoofer cost over $1,000, but lacks any real impact and it is easy to place where it is in the room I spent time afterwards with the installer sharing my concerns and asking for adjustments to be made. He made some efforts, but the equipment and configuration still produces very, very thin sound reproduction. There is no full range of deep rich sound in action movies (vehicle engines, explosions, etc.). Music on soundtracks sounds like it is playing out of a hand held radio. I told him I was not satisfied and not happy. All he could offer was to sell me additional speakers (left and right tower cabinet speakers and a second subwoofer), and he would give me credit back for two of the in wall speaker The amp is likely not adequate - should have gone with something higher current (Denon, Marantz or similar?). I trusted my money with their expertise/recommendations, and really feel like I failed to pick the right Home Theater company to accomplish a simple HT set up. The room is a dedicated HT room, only 14'x21' with 10' ceilings. I should have done more research. Lastly - on a personal note, I believe how an installer approaches "wire management" (see photos - no methodology) is an indicator of their attention to detail what standard they set for themselves. There is also a photo of their teeny tiny "premium" in wall speaker.
