Ahh, the local ghetto mart. We have quite a few in this 'hood, but the closest is the Quality. Even though it's called a Food market, the majority of the food is in cans.
They are a mom-n-pop shop, whose owners speak English, Spanish, and something Asian (forgive my ignorance about which country). They provide a payphone for the locals and a wide variety of cheap wines (MD 20/20 - grape, orange and something else, Night train - red and white) and beer (Bud, Tecate, Modelo, High Life, Malt Liquor - OE, Hurricane, King Cobra, Mickey's 24s and 40s, etc).
They sell "mini bags" which would be fabulous for coin collecting, lunches the size of 1/3rd of a pickle slice, or hand-made jewelry. They also have hats proclaiming the area code for $6 (602 - woo woo). Also, they have gold-plated nail clippers.
