Amazing experience dealing with Kyle. My client loved the mattresses. He is now moving to Los Angeles - and wants the same

No one offered help I asked had an idea what I wanted but I felt like I was bothering them. Thinking to myself what kind of sales ppl they blew a sale. Determined I went to Flatbush it cost nearly $50. With Uber but I had my eye on a sofa. Ppl were very helpful kept their word with repair as delivery was on time but busy. Men put on legs wrong way, no problem nice customer service will be out to repair no cost to me. Nicer sales ppl and I LOVE my couch. I recommend and will shop again.

I should have trusted my gut. Years ago, I promised myself I would never shop at Bob's Discount…read moreFurniture again -- but I gave them another chance, and now I'm paying the price in stress, frustration, and sheer disbelief at how poorly a company can treat its customers. I spent nearly $2,000 furnishing a guest bedroom, including a massive zebra painting that I absolutely fell in love with. But from the moment the delivery truck pulled up, the experience spiraled into a nightmare. The delivery team showed zero effort or professionalism. They refused to bring the furniture inside and acted like I was inconveniencing them just by existing. No greeting, no care -- just dropped it off like trash and left. Then came the final blow: they brought the wrong painting. I tried to reach customer care to fix the issue, but of course -- just my luck -- the call mysteriously dropped and no one followed up. So I drove all the way back to the store where I made the purchase, hoping for some real human assistance. I met with the original sales rep who walked me over to the counter, only to be told that my painting was now backordered for 12 weeks. But wait -- there was one in the showroom. Problem solved? Not quite. I explained the situation to Abbey, the store manager, and asked for a small discount if I came to pick it up myself. Not because it's a floor model -- but because I've now had to correct Bob's mistake three times. Delivery failure, wrong item, and zero communication. She flatly said no -- because the painting was "new." As if that excused everything else. Let me get this straight -- I'm driving all over town, spending my time and gas fixing a mistake that wasn't mine, and you're telling me I deserve nothing in return? After getting nowhere, I called customer care again and cancelled the painting altogether. And now, just like that, it's over -- and I'm left with regret, wasted time, and a burning reminder of why I said I'd never shop there again. Bob's Discount Furniture isn't just cheap -- it's careless, tone-deaf, and deeply out of touch with what real customer service looks like. Never again

We had to dodge trucks and workers picking up mattresses while a guy threw some mattresses on the floor of warehouse for us to test out. There was no sales person to help us purchase or set up delivery. Told me to call to order mattress I tried out. I started calling on a Wednesday --Kept getting answer machine and leaving messages and they never called back. I finally got a real person Thursday evening and he told me to call back next day. Called dozens of times, left messages, sent emails --no response. They are closed Saturday and I needed delivery but Tuesday after Memorial Day so now I had no time to shop anywhere else. Finally got a person on Sunday. They set up delivery for Tuesday between 6-9 pm (said they wouldn't deliver in Manhattan from 9am-6pm) The delivery person called on Tuesday to say it would not get there until 9-10pm!!! They finally arrived at 10 pm --one guy brought up mattress, box spring, frame and mattress protector but did not set up frame so my daughter had to leave mattress on floor to sleep that night to be able to get to work next day. I should have known it was a mistake to do business with a place that was that difficult but I thought I was getting a quality mattress at a good price. Never again. You get what you pay for as it turns out. I really wanted to support a local business but they made it so difficult and I feel compelled to warn others of their terrible service. So disappointing. Go to Craig's --you will pay a bit more but get the service you deserve!

Upon purchasing our mattress, we were told by the salesman Jerome, that their mattresses are typically delivered within 1-2 days. (I have since read other reviews with this same issue so realize he was lying to me from the start). As of this time, it has been three weeks, countless hours of calling and waiting on long holds, nearly a dozen emails... and still, no mattress. Not even a scheduled date for delivery. Will I ever receive it? Who knows. I have a herniated disc, and was advised by my doctor to get a firm bed as soon as possible. Had I been told the honest truth that it would be likely over a month (longer?) before receiving the mattress, I would have gone elsewhere. This review is now an act of desperation in the hopes that it will motivate them to stop giving me the run around and actually deliver my purchased mattress. Go elsewhere if you can.

Are you apprehensive because product photos never live up to expectations? Have you ever ordered furniture with promised 3 month delivery time but it really took 6 months? Sure, you can pick up cheap crap at IKEA on the fly but you're an adult now and you deserve quality. Welcome to Brooklyn City Furniture. We live in era where big box store chains and the likes of Amazon and Wayfair are putting independents out of business. Brooklyn City Furniture is bravely putting up a fight against this commercial crass. They are a throwback, a typical small footprint store jam packed with a well curated and eclectic mix of furniture and accessories. Still, you ask, "How are they better?" The owner of Brooklyn City Furniture is John, a casual guy who can be formal if required but hits his stride with laughter and ease, and he has a discerning eye too. He knows great art and he knows great furniture. John sources his inventory from stellar furniture makers such a Gus Modern and Foundry. Where in NYC can you go to a furniture store and the owner is there to help you? Find something you like and John might be able to sell it to you with ssshhh... our secret, a 15% discount. John isn't looking to rip you off. He sells great furniture at a great price. Wow, what a concept. Oh, it gets better. John's partner in crime, Agnes, knows all. She will help you with fabrics, pricing, and logistics. Ask John a question and Agnes hears every word. She'll even crack the whip when needed. It's a hoot to behold and worth the price of admission. Never has buying furniture been so much fun. At Brooklyn City Furniture it's John and Agnes. That's it. They are a perfect duo. One thing's for sure, you won't get this level of service at Crate & Barrel. Then came delivery day, of the beautiful Gus Modern Wallace 84" top-grain leather sofa. John and his very kind helper, Michael, showed up on the day and time they said they would. Since when does the store owner personally hand deliver their own goods? There was constant communication between John and I and he arrived in a gorgeous delivery truck... yes, it really is gorgeous. The sofa was triple bubble wrapped and taped. I was gobsmacked. My worries about the sofa being dropped on concrete or the leather being scraped on a wall, vanished. John and Michael wheeled the sofa up to my apartment, centered it along my living room wall, removed the bubble wrap and, voilà, my boring white living room turned into Versailles. I enjoyed John and Michael so much. Afterwards, we had a nice visit complete with the requisite selfies. Never was buying a piece of furniture this easy and painless. I've got a quality sofa at a great price and I made friends along the way. Stay tuned guys, I'm bringing you donuts this week so we can keep the party going. Five stars? Chh. I give Brooklyn City Furniture all the stars in the Milky Way. Thank you... oh, and the cat thanks you too!

To make it even worse, Keetsa refuses to honor our warranty, and likely had no intention of ever doing so (read the clauses in their warranty to find all the ways they will weasel out of doing so) Some key facts to counter Keetsa's sales lies: - The mattresses are still made of petroleum product in China. They're just made from 12% castor oil - The 12 year warranty would be the best in the business IF they had any intention of honoring it - The mattresses are only considered defective if they have up to a 1.5" indentation. 1.4" is plenty to make them very uncomfortable and unhealthy Google "Keetsa Mattress" if you want all of the details of our experience. I own keetsa-mattress (dot) com among others, as I informed Keetsa I'd be telling this story far & wide. UPDATE: I'd like to add here that Josh at the NYC store is actually very nice and was quite helpful and kind in email. It's not his fault that this product is really terrible and the warranty is a lie.
