Amazing company, with an amazing team member in Mike…read more Early Saturday morning, like midnight, out A/C stopped working and we have a newborn, so we were freaking out. I hoped on Yelp to find an HVAC company with great reviews and after looking at a few, I decided to try Cape Fear. I called their after hours number and was immediately taken care of. The representative took my info and had Mike call me. Mike called me in less than 10 minutes and agreed to come out. He arrived about 30 minutes after we hung up, he located the problem, told us he could fix it and told us the cost. We agreed to the cost and Mike went to work. Our A/C was fixed and running in about 2 hours from the time I made the call. There was an after hours service fee and the cost of parts, but it wasn't expensive and I'm very frugal The only negative comment is that I see they offer military discounts, but we were not offered one. As a customer, I wasn't argumentative--I was simply trying to understand a billing issue. Rather than listening or attempting to help, they were dismissive, rude, and made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. Customer service starts with the first person who answers the phone, and unfortunately, this interaction reflected very poorly on the company. I hope management addresses how customers are treated because no one should be spoken to with disrespect for asking a simple billing question and shouldn't feel like they are annoying them by any questions it's the job they are getting paid for.
