Dr. Lee was wonderful--patiently took care of my husband, extracted the tooth, and we were on our way home by 6. Staff was also very kind and helpful, even though it was well past closing time. The next morning the office called us to see how the patient was. I was happy to report my husband had a good night's sleep, had very little pain was recovering well. Quick & easy wisdom teeth extraction. Yes, you've read that right…read more I had to get my 2 remaining wisdom teeth extracted. Appointments are readily available and even though I had to reschedule, this office was very accommodating. Dr. Wiston is extremely thorough and informative prior to the surgery, after they take your X-rays. He goes over everything with the films right there, along with risks and then before you know it, you're literally whisked into the chair, your vein is found (I never have this quick and easy, so that especially made me happy) and next thing you know you're in the recovery room. I think I was in and out in like 40 minutes. You're in a twilight type of sedation, not completely out (at least I wasn't) but trust me, you don't have a care in the world (I don't even remember them giving me the novacaine shot, but I do remember yanking on the bottom tooth) and you're feeling quite niiiiice for several hours later. All of the staff here is personable and awesome, which makes the whole thing less harrowing than it would be otherwise. I ended up with a slight reaction to the antibiotic (Clyndamycin) so I called Dr. Wiston the next day and was able to discuss and then get another prescription. All good. No one wants to visit an oral surgeon, let's face it, but if you have to, Dr. Wiston is pretty awesome.

As I was telling my adult daughter; the entire procedure from first rinse to me walking out the door was only about 20 minutes long. The Dr is so skilled at the Novocaine injections that I was amazed. If you can hold it together for about 2 minutes-you'll be fully numb in no time. The procedure itself consisted of one minute of toughing it out while he did the actual pulling. No pain, just pressure and conquering my fear. I can do just about anything for one or two minutes. The rest was downhill from there. Drove myself home with no issues-as I stayed awake for the procedure. Never had any problems and now has problems. They don't care. What you need It's all about what they need. I'd say it's insurance fraud and criminal. Ugh!!! Apologizes to the 1st reviewer. I am amending my original review which was done after the…read more1st visit. It was a good 1st appt. Downhill at a 1,000 mph after though. Broken lower molar. Needed a root canal or to have the tooth pulled. They got my husband in fast. Did X-ray and put him on precautionary antibiotics. Refused to make a follow up appointment.though claiming need for antibiotics to be finished. Told my husband if the pain continued (he was in periodic raging agony) after 3 days, to call them back and they would prescribe a different antibiotic, however no pain meds at all...broken tooth exposed nerve! Take a Tylenol or Advil!!! After 4 days he called and expressed the blinding pain he was still experiencing. They prescribed another antibiotic, no follow up or any plans for an exam. After another couple days, my husband came home from work, eyes watering and cheek hot & painful. I called Dr. Garlands office and was giving an appointment to see Dr. Garland the next day. WHY? Um, BECAUSE they don't pull painful teeth. Now they claimed we needed an oral surgeon. An ORAL SURGEON to pull a tooth. A tooth Dr. Garland was salivating ($$$) over which would include multiple appointment and procedures but could not provide pain relief or pull the tooth. In the original appointment, pulling the tooth wasn't removed from options but a crown was a better idea and my husband agreed but the pain was 10 to 20 times a day, lasting from 10 minutes to an hour every single day. The receptionist was extremely nasty, rude, bitchy and toward the end of the call... nuts. Dr. Garland apparently isn't very confident in his work or he is in it just likes those big ticket items. Either way, in an emergency that your dentist help create by not addressing the severe pain, refused to do even an X-ray or see my husband when we called begging for help. We begged to just keep the appointment the next day, even to just be seen by the dentist again. Nope. They were so frustrating to deal with and in the end did NOTHING to remedy the broken tooth nightmare. Dentist...sheesh, whatever. Recommendation - find a larger dental office so you have options, they can confer with each other for solutions and you get a higher professional interaction with staff.

They did get me in pretty quickly ( about 4 business days), since I was in quite a bit of pain. Dr Valenti' assistant was very nice and efficient with the suction hose gadget. The entire process including checking in, registering and completing the paperwork, and oral surgery was less than 90 minutes. TIP: park in the front of the building and take the elevator up on floor. TIP The building is sit on a hill, so the main floor is actually floor number two. Valenti is on three. TIP: if you have an early appointment, the door may be locked so you will need to knock to advise them that you are waiting. FINAL TIP: You will be expected to pay 20% upfront for your care. They will submit to the insurance and then you will either. Oh more money or possibly get a reimbursement. I was in so much pain that I didn't care.
