Junk "antiques" in half of it, multiple large display cases that weren't working and looked like they were from the 1970s, and the only meat available in the case that was working was meat for slicing. Nothing fresh and unfrozen like chicken breasts, steaks, or ground meat. All of the frozen items were in chest freezers, which made it difficult to dig through compared to standing freezers, and nothing was labeled with a weight or price, so it's a blind guess as to how much you're spending. The owner was pleasant, but the lady working behind the counter was flustered and rude. I asked to have one of the packages of brats weighed so I could try to figure out what things cost. She rolled her eyes, heavily sighed, and slightly ripped the brats out of my hand to weigh them. She had calmed down by the time I eventually checked out, but I didn't appreciate the reaction to a reasonable question earlier. I wouldn't go back. There are so many other meat markets north of Milwaukee that look better, have a better selection, and I've not experienced poor customer service at.

In addition to their meat products, you'll find cheese from award-winning cheese makers like Widmer's Brick and Vern's sharp cheddar. Expect to find favorite stand-bys, too, like string cheese, cheese spreads, and varieties of squeaky curds. (Crackers for your cheese, too!) You'll find shelves full of condiments, mustards (ketchup on a brat is verboten!) pickled veggies, jams, jellies, maple syrup and honey. Most are made in Wisconsin including products from Door County's most famous orchard. (Some honey is imported from Pennsylvania.) You'll also find a remarkable variety of soft drinks and sodas in flavors you'll recognize, some you never heard of and and others you never dreamed of. Where this store really shines is in sausage making. You'll find an unbelievable assortment of summer sausages, hot dogs, beef sticks, and over 40 varieties of bratwurst. You'll find liver sausage and braunschweiger side-by-side (there IS a difference) Thuringer and sausage with a kick! If you live in Omro, Eureka, Berlin, Redgranite or even Oshkosh, this is a necessary market for you. If you're a weekender on your way to Upnorth, take a detour on 23 west from I-41 and stop here to stock up on your weekend cookout and snacking needs. Seriously, give this market a try! This place is special. Stop in and pick up some of their outstanding cheese and family recipe sausages. You'll thank me later.
