I have used this Lawn Cutting "Service" for 2 seasons. First season they didn't come for a month(being cut every 2 weeks). Really not bad, they don't do a spectacular job on edging, not a big deal to me. The other thing, I had asked the owner to remove some brush and weeds from the yard several times. He said, he'd stop to give an estimate never did on any occasion. This season,2015, I asked him to give me an estimate on removing a few dead and downed limbs, nothing huge or that required a chain saw to get rid of, $125 estimate and he said he'd be there the following week . Well, 2 weeks later, no phone call saying, can it wait till next week, or we're backed up, his men show up looking for the limbs, which I told him I already had removed because they were supposed to show up last week. And don't you know it, today I get the bill charging me for the landscaping they didn't do. read more

I contacted Quality Cuts based on the Nextdoor recommendation and Google reviews. Sadly, quality was not part of the service. The first cut wasn't done, either because they went to the wring address or they incorrectly believed the lawn was already cut. They came the following week and did a haphazard job, missing many spots and did no edging. Last week was their second visit. Again, haphazard cut job and not one single thing edged. I sent the owner, Chris, a text with some pictures and received no response. after a few more days of trying to reach him, he responded that he would show the crew the photos and tell them to do better. when asked if they would be coming back early to fix the issues, I received no response. Nope, no quality or consistent communication. I emailed the owner on the Sunday before Mother's Day to make sure they were coming to cut the Friday before Mother's Day. I texted at around 9 am, and again at 6 pm since I never heard back from Chris. That Saturday he got around to texting me back to say they would be there "early in the week". this company does not merit even one star. I paid them $495.00 and all they did was pull up a couple of bushes, plant 4 flowers and spread a minimal amount of mulch in just a little over an hour. They claimed to have planted some gladiolus bulbs but the dirt had not been moved. They had a week to fix the problem but never appeared even though they kept promising they would come back. There is nothing "quality" about their service. My lawn looked choppy or not even cut at all. I actually paid for 3 weeks but I believe they only came twice with one time not cutting the front. I have a tiny lawn and was charged $40 each time with them being here less than 10 minutes. I also asked about mulching twice in our initial conversations. I was told I would get an estimate. It is a month later and never got one. I see why they have a low yelp score. read more

Do not use this service. They are horrible. The owner, Chris Schoenbeck, is rude and very unprofessional. I called and spoke to Chris about the price for mowing my lawn and cutting a few bushes, which he said his prices started at $40 and up. I asked him to come out and take a look at my yard and tell me how much he would charge. He agreed to come out and give me an estimate. Instead of coming out and speaking with me about a price to mow the lawn, he sent two guys out who were out there 5 minutes tops and did a half a** job at that. They never spoke to me before or after they cut the lawn. I had no idea who they were or who had sent them. I had been checking with other companies who all said they would come out and give me an estimate before they cut the grass. I decided to go with someone else who did an awesome job and was cheaper. He was very professional and customer oriented. I called Chris back to let him know I had decided to go with someone else so he would not have to come out to give me an estimate. He then tells me his people had already cut my grass. I asked him why he didn't come and talk to me before anyone cut the grass as we had discussed previously. He lied and told me that we never discussed him coming out to give me an estimate first and said he would be sending me his invoice. He then hung up on me. Now I might expect rude customer service from an employee, but Chris is the owner. Apparently "Quality cut" is not a part of his service, just the name of his company. I wish I had checked out the review on Yelp before contacting this company. I will definitely do that in the future before I even call the company. read more

I wish I give them a ZERO! This company is very unprofessional. They will not answer your calls. They will text, but not talk. They will not show up when they are supposed to. They will charge you for services that you did not ask for. They broke my fence, and then said it was already broke after admitting they did it and would fix it. Chris the owner will contact you at inappropriate hours of the morning or night at his convenience but will never answer for you. They cut the grass HORRIBLY, leaving ugly patterns. Do not use this company. Worst experience I have ever had with a landscaper. They show up days after the day they said they would come. They do not care about their customers. read more

A man named "Chris" had initially called me and asked for my address and told me he would get back with me. I never heard back from him again. They continue to do my neighbor's yard and instead of picking up the leaves, they blew them into my yard and into the woods. Strong winds have now blown them back were they were originally. I called the owner Chris he immediately became defensive and said that my fence was old was all in hung up on me . I sent the company pictures of the damages and called profusely I received no response. Please do not get this company to do your lawn service you will regret it. I've used this service for the last few years without incident. This season was the worst. The beginning of this season was not bad, then it went down hill. The mowing, actually weed whacking, never saw a mower, was sloppy. Missed areas. They were to weed the front little area and was never touched. I asked the guys to remove a few weeds by my deck and gave them $20 cash to do it, which took a whole 5 minutes and the owner tried to bill me 25% extra for the "extra work that I'm was trying to steal", when I paid for it out of pocket. The last cut about a month ago was a week late and that was the last time I heard from them. I've been calling/ texting Chris for 10 days with absolutely no response. This is petty, childish, and extremely unprofessional. They nickel and dime customers for every detail, don't do what is contracted, sloppy work, and terrible customer service. I planned to use them all Summer. Had weekly lawn cuts planned and also seeding service. I watched as the guy barely cut the lawn and left. Never did Edging or weed whacking. I told the owner that I don't have time to make sure a job is done. Dropped quick. No refund or apology offered. read more

I used this service for one season (2020), but at the start of the second season (2021), decided to leave. They are good at cleaning up my backyard, removing weeds, putting down mulch and removed a damaged tree which was my neighbors but hanging in my yard. However, they are not good at cutting the grass, very ironic...hence "Quality Cuts". Their workers treat the (my) lawn as if it were on an assembly line. They plow through the lawn, and blow the clippings on the sidewalk and often on my porch and move on. They don't stop and look at what they are doing and I often found uneven cuts on the lawn, which stresses the grass. During the first season, I pointed out some problem areas on my front lawn (I would have thought they would point out to me). At the start of this season 2021, after two cuts, there so many clippings left on the lawn that it was ridiculous. I asked Chris to come out to look to see what his workers did not do, but I got no response. I saw the hand writing on the wall and jumped ship. I hired this company to mow my lawn. In the fall, they sent workers out to do unauthorized work (yard and leaf clean up). I sent the workers away. The workers came back 2 weeks later when I wasn't home and completed the unauthorized work. I was sent a bill, which I refused to pay. The owner came to my house and taped a huge invoice to my door! He backed off when I sent him an email (which I copied my lawyer on). They've lost another customer! read more

Stay away from this service!! Always seem to come when the grass is a wet as can be and leave grass mounds all over the lawn that you have to rake to pick up yourself (after your dog has also brought it into your house)!! They (maybe 8th graders) aerated my lawn recently (without permission) and ripped it to shreds (grass was long and wet again). Owner never called back or apologized. Sent a person out to spread a half a bag of top soil and some seed on the ripped up areas. Will need to sod areas in the spring to bring areas back!! Stay away!!! This is our third year with Quality Cut as our lawn service provider. The owner Chris is very responsive and professional, and his team are very reliable and do a quality job - all at a reasonable rate. We use them for our weekly lawn care, spring cleaning, tree removal, and new plant/shrub plantings. I highly recommend them. read more

I never hired them, just showed up and started cutting my lawn 4/2015, informed the crew that they made a mistake and they were not authorized to cut my lawn and were not getting paid at which time they stopped, loaded everything up and left. Called the company and explained the mix up then in July of 2015 I get invoice for 2 weeks of lawn cutting at which time I call again and explain situation and they say no problem they will take care of it. Two and a half years later 12/2017 I get a letter from a collection agency over the July 2015 invoice. Who does business like that? Just show up at someones house unsolicited and start cutting the grass then send a bill. Do they think just because your old that your senile and will pay anything? At this point I'm probably going to have to get a lawyer to get everything straighten out. read more

If I could give a half star I would. We rented a house for three years and used this service all three years. Every Spring I would call and tell owner Chris that we needed the service again for the season. Work was okay, nothing great. We moved out of the rental house March 2015 and left the area. I had always called each Spring to get the lawn service. I did not call in 2015 because we had moved out of the area. Apparently, the owner, Chris, decided to cut the grass without being asked. Two weeks ago (2018) we received a notification from a collection agency for an unpaid bill to Quality Cut Lawn Service for lawn services we did not authorize. We had never received any notification from this service even though all of our mail was forwarded from Newark DE to PA where we were living for six months after the move. Now, Chris wants us to pay for a service we did not request and we were not living in the house, it had been taken over by the owner. My husband has made many attempts to contact the owner of this service and he has not returned out calls. read more
