After being in the medical field for many years I can honestly say I do NOT recommend this clinic…read more I lived out of country for over 14 years to come back to the apidimi of socialized medicine. I chose Kensington medical clinic. At first, I thought I had made a good choice. Over time, I have learned I did not. At Kensington, I feel you are treated like cattle...get em in...get em out! You are lucky if you actually get 15 minutes with your doctor and still at best accomplish nothing. My doctor at Kensington forgets what tests (labs, X-rays etc she sent me for and to boot.,,NO FOLLOW up whatsoever. Her assistant is as phony as a two dollar bill! She's rude, abrupt and in my opinion a liar! I became quite ill and am still recovering. Over the worst part of my illness, WCB, my employer and insurance company sent many requisitions to my doctor and would contact me weeks after stating that they had sent required documentation 2-3 times with no response. I contacted my doctor assistant to inquire and she advised me in no uncertain terms that they have not received anything from these entities. I call all these people back and was emailed the fax transmission sheets and asked to confirm the fax number. I called Kensington again and spoke with my doctor's assistant and she confirmed the number and again in an abrupt tone, stated no documents have been received. I then advised her that I had copies of the transmission slips. She says "hang on, I'll go look one more time". It's a miracle she comes back and advised we just received it or I'm sorry, we just received it yesterday. I notified the companies who said "not us, we sent on this date, the date etc. Definitely not yesterday etc. This has not been the first time this assistant has been rude or lied to me. I had a prescription refill request sent twice from Costco and each time was told by the assistant she had not received it and was very abrupt stating it takes a week for the doctor to review and respond. Wow! Costco also confirmed they sent the request twice and sent again while we were on the phone. A few days later I received a call from the pharmacy stating they just now received the response from the doctor and would rush it out to me. Fees on doctors notes are outrageous. The insurance company requested a physician something or other to which Kensington charged me $195.00 which took about 6 minutes to fill out. I was grateful they filled it out immediately in front of me and gave me some grace period to pay as I was on short term disability and received only enough to cover my rent...not even extra to put gas in the car or cover a majority of monthly expenses. Not their problem...I get it. Here's my opinion...if you are a patient looking for a physician who truly cares about you and your healthcare...please do not go the Kensington. I am currently looking for a new doctor. As for the assistant...my opinion is she really needs to look in the mirror and consider a job change. People and honesty are not her forte. At Kensington I feel you are only a $$ sign to them. It's too bad as I feel if they focus on their patients instead of numbers they could do good things. Going here I feel like a bother to them. NO, I do NOT recommend KENSINGTON MEDICAL CLINIC

I've been here a couple times this year just randomly checking in and found myself an understanding…read moreand reasonable doctor. The wait time fluctuates like any other medicentre, I recommend seeing their website for other locations and wait times if you don't like waiting long times. www.medicentres.com. Parking is moderately small and fluctuates as well due to other clinics next to this one. Ex: dental clinic, & dyna life. The staff are pleasant and very helpful to a certain extent. I'll definitely be checking in here when I get sick or until these doctors are accepting new patients to their practice. Anyways, have fun shopping for your own doctor. Remember, be patient, shop around at different locations and you'll find the one who suits your needs. Good luck! ;) I recommend this location for simple check-ups.

I was desperate to see a doctor as my physician was booked solid.I had never been to this clinic so…read moreI wasn't too sure what I'd find. It's a little difficult to find if you're not used to the area. You can get to the clinic by walking through the very busy and crowded Shopper's Drug Mart. Forewarning - some of the clientele is sketchy. Hold your purses close and hide your devices. I had someone who was clearly high lingering around seemingly stalking me. I walked into the clinic without an appointment and it was madness. The girl at the front desk was stressed while some ignorant man was yelling at her. Being an admin or receptionist is a thankless job at times. I don't know what people hope to achieve by yelling at staff. It just makes things worse for everyone else involved. I was advised the wait would be at least 1.5 hours. So I went next door to Shoppers and got an older prescription filled. That took way longer than it should have. I was told the wait would be 30 minutes but I waited over an hour. I'll be leaving a scathing review for Shoppers next. Once that was finished I wandered back into the clinic next door. Imagine my surprise that it was completely empty. The girl at the front desk managed to get me in with zero wait time and I was in and out of my appointment in less than 10 minutes. All in all, the staff were friendly and the doctor was helpful. Pros: friendly staff, professional service Cons: long wait times, cash only for medical notes - this could always be improved.

One day I waited 17 minutes on hold before someone was able to book an appointment for me. I also find that the clinic isn't really that clean or welcoming looking considering it is almost brand new. Perhaps that is the winter weather and all the mud and wet floors that comes along with it. Although it is quite easy to secure an appointment within the next day or so, I have had to wait both times I've been in; the first time for over an hour and the second time for half an hour. Not the most convenient when you've slipped out of work for the appointment. However, once in, the doctors seem to spend a good amount of time with you trying to pinpoint issues. The doctor even ran some tests while I was in the office so I didn't have to go to a lab and wait for the results. I'm still on the search for the perfect family doctor and clinic, but Westmount will do for now.
