They tracked that to a speed sensor on the right rear wheel. They had replaced the speed sensor once and it was still throwing the same error code. They ordered a replacement speed sensor for the new one that was already put on the car. I had an issue where I really needed the car, they let me take the car without paying and we made another appointment first thing on June 5th so they could put on the next new speed sensor. On June 5th, they put on the next speed sensor and it was still throwing error codes, so it wasn't the speed sensor, they began checking things up to the front of the car. They got to the Hybrid system and I knew they wouldn't work on that. After an hour Carlos told me that he thought it would end up leading them to the ABS module. On Ford products, Ford is the only one that can install modules because they have to be programmed into the car. So, off to Schumacher Lincoln, I went. I made an appointment with Lincoln and told them about the ABS module. They told me they would diagnose the issue and that would be $199.95 + tax. So far Lincoln has had my car for 23 days at this writing. They have replaced the same rear speed sensor, that Carlos replaced, twice. I believe they are charging me $850 for that so far. They told me on August 2nd that they need to remove some parts to look at some wiring and that will take 2 hours at $270 an hour. Today is August 10th and they have not started doing that work. They can not give me a date on when they will fix my car. I will be getting rid of this car and never buy a Ford product again. I'll get a Toyota. Carlos charged me $515 for the speed sensor and the new 12-volt battery, and 1 hour for the diagnostics. His rate is $187. Lincoln has my charge up to $1,390 and I have been without a car for 23 days with no expectation of getting it back anytime soon. I used another Local Mechanic before Carlos and was charged $270 for a battery and a fee to use a credit card. Carlos, Delray Auto Repair is a great, honest shop. I highly recommend them.

Unlike all the horrible experiences we've had with our dealers, nothing but wonderful experiences with Eric's Wrench for all these years. I'd like to describe two events, one at our beginning and one very recent. About 15 years ago a young woman was almost in tears, her car had 6 things wrong for about $600 from her Toyota dealer. I sent her to Eric, 4 were perfectly fine, one didn't even exist and he fixed the "6th" for $45. For the next 15 years every thing has been great. Make an appointment and they starts on that time and almost always finish the time they estimated. We've never had to go back for anything that wasn't done right. My last visit was just routine, but after all these years, I asked if they could adjust my dashboard so I can see a compass and see the air pressure in all 4 tires. I took it out, saw the compass but not the tire pressure. One of the mechanics actually took me out in my car, explained that it is not possible to see both at the same time, but they set it up so that all I had to do was hit 1 button to get to the pressure and hit it back for my compass. I took it to Arnst Ocean Auto, Matt looked it over and added UV dye to check for possible other leaks in the engine after cleaning off the oil. He suggested since the trans. had to come out to remove the oil pan-(Ford), that I have the slave cylinder replaced since it's w/in the trans bell housing.... Matt made a good call as it was really worn which could have been bad had it failed. I made appointment for the work to be done. Matt took care to cover the seats with a blanket and a paper mat was placed on the floor even though I don't have carpeting, but my interior is clean. The mechanic, Lou checked for any other leaks, thankfully none found. Lou did a fantastic job. This was no easy job since many parts had to be removed just to get the trans and oil pan out. When done, he test drove it and rechecked for any leaks and re checked all new fluid levels. Lou was able to get this job done in one day! I was very Impressed! I was happy to take my truck home the same day. It even shifts smoother now.
