We recently camped here for 5 nights in our small RV. It's a lovely place on an enchanting, wooded…read morelake. We saw frogs, fireflies, and even a small otter splashing around in front of our campsite! Almost every night, we took a quick 12-minute walk over to the delicious and beautiful Waller's Supper Club for dinner and old fashioneds, where we enjoyed the complimentary pontoon rides around the adjacent lake. We selected a deluxe campsite right on the water, and family members booked the spot next to ours. We have two pugs, and our family has one small dog. The reviews had us a bit nervous that our dogs would bark and we would get in trouble, because all dogs occasionally bark. We need not have worried. The park is quiet in a pleasant way, not in an oppressive or excessively supervised way at all. We have to assume that people writing negative reviews about this had large, very loud dogs. In the evenings after dinner, we quietly enjoyed cocktails and soft music under the stars around the campfire without any issues, and saw others throughout the park doing the same. Again, we have to assume that those complaining about being told to quiet down must have been really tearing it up lol! The negative reviews we read prior to arrival made us needlessly apprehensive, and didn't reflect our experience with this wonderful campground at all. We absolutely loved it, and will definitely stay again if we are in the area.

A tornado in 2018 took quite a few trees, but slowly but surely new trees are growing up. I love the idea of having everything ready for the week or weekend and just driving out, putting the awning out and you're ready! This is a seasonal only campground - no weekenders. Although if you have friends with a camper there MAY be room for a weekend. Right now the campground is pretty full. There are quite a few people who winter in Florida or the Southwest who spend the entire summer here. Are there rules? Of course ther are! Any campground has to have rules. No fireworks, drugs, respect your neighbors, cut your grass, keep your campsite looking nice, etc. Simple, really. There is a quiet time, but we barely make it past 11 on most nights. You can't beat sitting next to a campfire with your friends. It's our "home away from home." It feels like we're in the northwoods, but our drive from home is pretty short, but it feels like a world away.

The views are unbeatable -- the cottages are right on the lake. We could see the water from our bed! The cottages are updated on the inside with a little oven, kitchen essentials, etc. We stayed in a cottage with a futon and a double bed. They ask that you bring your own linens or you can pay a bit extra, which is no problem! The parking is included for one car, and you can park right near the cottages -- prime real estate! The bathrooms are also updated and the water pressure is great. We had the best time here this weekend and absolutely recommend it to future visitors to Green Lake!

The room had a very bad odor of mold and mildew. The floor was wet from the shower leaking through the wall. There was other patrons garbage left under the beds. The exhaust fan in the bathroom only worked half of the time. The air conditioner only seemed to work on one setting as well. The room was so small especially with 2 double beds. None of the bedding matched. Bed sunk when you sat on it. So many power strips and extension cords used to plug in 2 lamps, clock, TV, and a cable converter box. Couldn't open the window or curtain because one of the beds was up against the wall with the window and the curtains went to the floor. There were kids that played in the parking lot and around cars and were not very careful with their bikes and skateboards. They never came to empty the trash. We had to go to the office and ask for a new bag and left the full bag outside the door where it sat for most of the day. Our mom passed away the morning after we checked in so we asked if there was a refund policy due to that circumstance and she said no. We had paid for 5 days. So we decided to try and stay there a couple more days. We ended up just leaving on the third day. If you are in this area I DO NOT recommend staying in this motel. By far the worst place we have ever stayed in our lives.

A set of long stairs usher you up to the tower and that is where we started our journey. We climbed to the top and what a sight it is to see. This tower is high up as it sits on the crest of a hill. Amazing and a bit scary all the same time when you get to the top. Bring your pup cause this place is a perfect little spot to hike thorough with them. Trails are well marked and walking through the forest here is a bit surreal as you are led through windy twists and turns that are littered with rocks and trees and so much nature it is just a pleasure to experience. We drove up from Milwaukee and it takes about 50 minutes to get here. When heading home I suggest taking the scenic route back and driving by Long lake and through the country side of Wisconsin. Lot's to see and just an enjoyable jaunt all around!
