This place charges $138 for a smog check if your car is older than the year 2000 and refuses a free smog check. I called to confirm pricing on Friday and they stated $48 for the smog check and a free retest. I even confirmed online. I come in, and he quotes me for $138 and did not explain anything to me prior. He told me to take a seat and started to work on my car without telling me the breakdown. I paid $138, with no free re-test and they failed my smog. My car does pass smog but because they couldn't find the label on my Cadillac converter confirming its model, they failed it. No other smog place would ever fail that car. The emissions were perfect but because THEY couldn't find the label, they didn't want to pass it. I feel, they intentionally failed my car to get my money and for me to come back to spend another lump sum. Never go here. You'll be better off going down the street. Truly.

I love convenience. This is why every year, I go to Ralphs in Brea to renew my auto registration at…read morethe automated DMV kiosk. They charge a small fee but I would rather pay that than to wait for my sticker in the mail. However, last week when I went to renew my registration, I realized I had to do a smog check in order to complete the process. W H A T!?!?! I panicked because I have never gotten a smog check before AND my registration was literally due in a days. I paid for the fees and went right on to Yelp to start my search. There were many places through out the SGV and OC around me, all had very reasonable prices. However, not all of them were opened on Sundays. I was already on my way to Rowland Heights to run some errands so I decided to stop by Smog Test Only Discount Center nearby just to see if they would accept walk ins. Thank Goodness they were opened until 2pm and only had 1 customer before me. The total time spent was approximately 30 minutes and total cost was $55 (accepts Cash, CC, Zelle). Maria helped me and she was SO nice! I am not sure if I may need another smog check anytime soon, but I do plan on referring friends and family here if they ever need one. His walk-in hours are limited so I recommend calling in advance and he's flexible and willing to work around a schedule to accommodate you!
