WOW, I'm beyond thankful that Thom came to assist me today. My vehicle had a torn / slashed tire…read moreissue (as I hit a metal object on Hwy 19, Northbound near Courtenay). Thom went above and beyond with his exemplary customer service, he's trustworthy and honest and I would & will highly recommend him and Bowser Automotive Ltd. to everyone. Thanks Thom, your amazing customer service won't be forgotten.

Yesterday late afternoon toward a very dark early evening my husband (Monty) and I were heading…read moretoward Courtenay in the middle of a really awful rain and wind storm when we realized we had a flat tire and immediately needed to pull over to the side of the Inland Highway, which we did. We were approximately 2 miles north of the Buckley Bay turnoff for the Denman Island Ferry where we intended to stay the night after a meal in Courtenay. Fortunately, we have membership with the B.C. Automobile Association and contacted them for help. B.C.A.A. were, as always, excellent and before long Ted from Bowser Automotive was there to give us shelter with his tow truck from the heavy traffic and poor road conditions created by the storm while he jacked us up, removed the offending left front tire, torqued the spare in place, and made sure we had the correct air pressure all with a smile on his face. While we were all wet and cold, no one smashed into us and we remained alive and were soon on our way.....forever grateful to Ted and his truck.....with thanks, Sandy and Monty

Had to use this crap service and the owner is a complete mental case. He got mad cuz my husband…read moreapparently closed his door too hard, so the guy throws a fit, starts cussing us a blue streak, said some really offensive things. throws my money at me, ordered me out of the truck and he abandoned us with no phone and no way to get home, and I'm handicapped!!! I let him know he was in legal jeopardy because he was breaking a contract with a disabled person, and he drove off like a bat outta hell with my expensive car attached to his truck. Then an hour later when I called to arrange to pick my car up, he has his dispatcher LIE to me, claiming I had either spilled something on his seat, or pissed on his crap upholstery (LMAO Give me a freakin' break!!), I guess In an effort to embarrass me so I won't sue him for Breach of Contract and abandoning a handicapped person. Disgusting POS LIAR!!!! Claimed he got that seat detailed in less than an hour. Never knew of detailing anywhere that took less than several hours just to get the vehicle into the shop without an appointment, much less get it done in less than an hour. And he overcharges as well!!!! $165 just to get my car not even a mile to my house??? Plus, he can't take debit or credit!! If you don't have cash (which, WHO carries cash these days?), you're SOL.And he'll abandon you, even if you're handicapped. Seriously, call Mid-Island Towing instead. Every time I've used them, they've been the nicest people all around and beyond helpful. I will NEVER use Nanoose Bay Towing again and I will certainly be letting everyone I know not to use them.

This guys a jerk, should be ashamed of himself. The guy towed a vehicle from the roadside of a man…read morewho suffered a diabetic seizure, thankfully no one was injured. After months of recovery in the Nanaimo hospital, he denied the owner access to his vehicle to pick up a few of his personal belongings, his identification and his cellular phone to contact his loved ones and and to help social services and housing secure a new residence at a seniors facility, not much to ask. The guy was hanging up on Hospital staff trying to help the gentlemen get back on his feet and tried charging this disabled gentlemen an outrageous impound fee refusing him access to his personal belongings until he paid. The guy even had the nerve to brag on the phone about how many vehicles he impounds all year long, signs them over to his wife and lets his wife drive them around town. What a piece of work this guy and his wife must be an absolute disgrace to society. I dont recommend the Nanoose Bay towing service to anyone.
